Thank you beautiful Lady 👍😘❤🌹
Can anyone tell me what this video was about? I could only fixate on one big thing and missed all of other stuff :)
Video is about making big wood
Nope
Was about cutting wood with class.. Lol nah man... You wood be surprised with these cuts... Lol
Mostly a woman running her mouth with a little milling through in .
I like the hustle they have, but she's a Beast!!
Did anyone else notice those two nice pecan slabs? It takes a minute before they come into focus, but they're definitely there! They're just to the right of that derriere that's so amazing, it brought tears of joy to my eyes! I'm still slightly weeping just from the recent memory...
This Pecan Log are beautiful and well done Zoey 👍❤
Cameraman.....you had one important job!!! And you done it well💯💯
Seeing & loving the grain of wood never gets old to me 👀 and hearing the way you speak about the Pecan log with each cut makes me smile😊 you guys are tree lovers for sure 😍 well done 🙏🤰😎
My log peaks now.
Beautiful log and cut. Congratulations on the pregnancy!
I Love Zoe ❤️🙂
Absolutely gorgeous.
Great log and video. Congrats, you are going to be a great mom. Love you and your vids, stay safe and healthy!
This is my first time seeing what a pecan log looks like I work for a lumber company in North Carolina and we have Red oak and white oak and sometimes poplar that we kiln dry and ship just about world wide I really enjoy watching your channel
That's awesome. Thanks Zoe
The booty brought me! Marketing 101 achieved!
You look fabulous....congratulations to you and your hubby on your pregnancy!
Awesome video!!!! Congratulations to you both
Now that's impressive stuff!
Bugs love this wood ... After cutting one down, don't wait long before milling .
Can't stop looking at her
Zoe runs that saw mill like a pro
Beautiful 💯💯💯
Beautiful!
Pecan is very similar to hickory. They are in the same family and often sold together as hickory lumber.
That being said, hickory is slightly harder and a tad bit heavier. But, pecan is desired if you want more color variation or less brittleness in your project.
Pecan prefers low land, moist, soil… hickory can grow well uplands in drier soils. As a result hickory grows slower and is more plentiful.
Whatever you use those slabs for, make sure they have a seal coat on them. An oil finish is not good on spalted wood because of the fungus. And, although you can use it in a table… a bowl turning or cutting board would not be advisable. Food contact with bare spalted wood is a No-No.
Coat the ends when you dry it to reduce splits and shakes.
Lovely wood, pretty mom too!
Good on ya for pointing out the contact with the spalting!!! Most don't know it's a fungus and fungus can be extremely poisonous to just about anything that likes to, well, BREATHE!!!!
@@jeffffro7674 If the kiln drying is done with adequate heat for a long enough time it can kill it… but, that’s iffy… in most systems. Most hardwoods aren’t done that way.
This is Amazing!
Congratulations on your little sawyer.
Spalting is created from the permeation of moisture through the log. As a chainsaw sculptor, I am always excited for the opportunity to carve pecan. It almost never disappoints. I would give anything to carve on some the big timber in y'all's stock.
You always looking good beautiful.....congratulations
Omg your the best thank you for sharing
Great log! Love the bloopers!!!
Great Work!
Spalting is basically the beginnings of rot, it's caused by a fungus. Drying (especially in a steam injection kiln) halts that process and leaves you with those amazing patterns. Makes for very unique flooring. It's usually found in Beech and Sycamore over here in the UK. Commands a high price tag too, great looking log you have there.
Thank you very much
@@TripleLRusticDesigns You're very welcome.
Yep! It's something that happens relatively slow and the longer you let something sit, the more you get and the deeper into the heart it starts to go. The problem is mostly a guessing game! If a log sits too long, it starts to get spongy and rots too much to be used for anything at all! We have Maple as the most famous and sought after spalted wood here in the U.S. but it can happen to just about any wood. The absence of tannins helps dramatically with the process so there are of course better wood species than others for it. I used to think that density had a lot to do with it but I'm not sure anymore, I've seen it in all flavors from soft conifers to REALLY dense Hickory and Pecan like this Decidu-viddy-ous!
The more and more I learn about woods, the more and more I fall in love with trees and woodworking!!! It's just so much fun to turn trees into stuff that can give us so much beauty and practical use in our daily lives. Think for a moment about just how much trees actually give us and you can't help but be an intensely passionate tree-hugger!!!
I've got a custom knife with spalted maple handles. Salted and burles Knife scales(handles) are often impregnated with plastic resin to make the wood more stable when cutting, sanding, etc.

Yep, I enjoy the videos mainly about the sawmilling and yep you are a hot little fireball, no disrespect to your husband. Joking aside, I married my wife in1996 and my son was born in 2004. He will be 18 June 27th. He has Prom tomorrow and a scholarship to the Citadel! He even has a job army national guard set up also. I just wanted to congratulate you two on your pregnancy and people will say you better enjoy every minute of it because they grow up fast and I can say it's true! Congratulations!
Nice
Looking good
Spalting is the start of the decaying process. I see it often with soft maple and with white birch. It looks fantastic in crown molding and window trim.
Great video Zoe ( when the calendar comes ) you are so beautiful great job 👏
keep up the good work don’t let us down
Love it they would make nice book shelves or mantles
Zoe keep up the good work I'm cutting logs and making all your other things and yeah you are getting a little baby bump there I'm happy about you guys having a baby all right this is Bob from Vero Beach Florida God bless have a great day and stay safe
Enjoyed the video content today. Congrats to the both of you!
Very cool 😎
Major wood on this video.
great job!!! love your bloopers,, Shows the real deal!! HA! HA!
Loved the afterthoughts about cereal... 🤣
Great video sharing
Depending on the hardness/specie, you can cause spalting by taking a green log and bury it in sawdust, and keep the pile wet for about a year. The trick is to catch the rotting process before the wood becomes punky. I've heard that spalted wood should not be used for items to be used with food.
wow amazing made me forget what I was watching, gorgeous
You are really beautiful and creative... and your work is beautiful. I like your beautiful activity
Beautiful wood
Amazing video 👍👍
Looks like you been eating well and growing wider!!!!
Nice work!
I would LOVE to see you guys make a "Pecan Tool Shed" from some Pecan log's. I could IMAGINE myself RUNNING out to the "P-Shed" is what I would I call it just for FREAKING SMELL which would inevitably CAUSE me to PASS OUT with JOYFUL BLISS.🤩😍🥰
man i realy like the looks of the ''Pecan Log'' ^^
Top shelf bottom you have 👍👍👍
Pecan.. interesting. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use that type of wood on any project 🤔. I like the last little bit of the video... kind of like out takes. Hopefully we see a video of you guys using the Pecan wood
You just gotta love woodworking
Good work
It's good to see you wearing protective gear now. I know it's really boring but you've got to look after yourself. No you look gorgeous AND professional 👍
Love that timber too btw, what a find!
Yup, unbelievably bootyrific thumbnail!!!! Nailed it, normally wouldn't mention it. 🙌👌🤘
That's the wood ya wanna make bowls outta! Dry it out, to stop any fungi left in that grain ya love, and spin out some awesome round stuff! Good luck!
The first to things that come to mind are tables, obviously, and entry doors. Those two pieces need to be displayed for sure.
Muito top essa madeira e parabéns pelo vídeo 👏👏👏👏 Brasil
I KNOW I MISSED THE WOOD PART OF THE VIDEO SEEING THAT AXX

i LOVE THAT SOUTHERN RED CEDAR....
Congratulations I haven't been online. Im happy for yall
Definitely good showcase skills and some nice logs. But let’s be real the logs ain’t the only thing we thought was nice. I salute you guys for knowing how to keep us focus and instead in the videos other than the wood craft.. Catch my drift 😉😂🤣
Just really cool what that bark is hiding.
Great video Zoey and Trey, I have a question, I was watching one of your old videos do you have to buffer the epoxy or can you just go over it with Odies oil for the same result?
Rumor has it even softwood turns hard after she handles it.
congratulalations you will be a great mom
Congratulations on the upcoming baby! Pecan is basically another hickory family tree, so expect similarities.
i been waiting 1 1/2 years , hope my maple spalted this nice🤗.
Oh hes cranking on it.
Among us Mississippi pecan fanatics (grew up with lots and lots of pecan trees on our farm), we are adamant that the pronunciation is puh-KAHN' -- and we kinda sneer at folks who say PEE-can (that's a container into which one urinates). Call us snobbish, but we're serious about our pecan trees and wood. Mighty glad you got to open up that log and see the beauty inside it. Maybe you'll get to stack/sticker some slabs and boards, then enjoy milling them after they've dried sufficiently. Good work!
Oh, and I'm sure you have plenty enough experience sawing logs, but one of the most important concepts to put into practice is watching out for the pith. If you can flip the log enough, you can avoid that pith altogether. Yeah, it'll leave you with a 4x4 or 6x6 timber that has the pith in the middle, but just set that baby aside and watch it crack, twist, etc. as it dries. I love hearing sawyers' stories about sawing slabs when they first began and now finding that many of those slabs that had the pith inside have now split wide open. Besides, if you are careful to avoid the pith, you can wind up with some nearly quarter sawn boards that will have really straight grain.
very cool
Spalting is a fungus working it’s way through the wood caused mostly by moisture and time, but harvesting spalted wood is a timing thing. You have a relatively small window where you can have spalted wood that still has structural integrity. After that, it’s wood rot. It will work through sapwood and exposed ends first, naturally.
I bet that smells good 👍
WOW 😳!!!!!! Absolutely gorgeous
Pecan, peeken, piican, pecoun, ... pickaboo.. call it how ever you want to lovely lady, Thank you for your time and effort this is awesome 👌🏼 !!!
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PREGNANCY 👶👍🏼
Hilsen fra Danmark❤👋👍👏
Good morning @TripleLRusticDesigns! Thank you again for the great videos. Love the shell casing charcuterie boards and look forward to the new and innovative ways you come up with the use more of the product.
In this video at 2:21 you give a great shout out to Glenn Lemire and his crews at 'Barking Up The Right Tree Service'. You don't have to share your books with us, unless you'd like to. In that case it's most easy. Ate these tree fellers looking to dump rather good wood.
Do they just drop the timer
You are going to be a great Mom.
Beautiful lady
Nice video
I actually love that Spalding pecan
This gave me a woody! hehe
Beautiful this work and beautiful girl take care of yourself
The queen of the thumbnail!! But she seems cool too !
Zoe: your knowledge & skills as a Sawyer are amazing! You have it all! Hope you can keep cutting & posting throughout your pregnancy! Verrrry impressive, and sharing your knowledge is very much appreciated!!!!
😂
Que linda estás corazón. 🤩🌟
I was always told the black lines is from moisture soaking in the ends because they aren’t sealed after cutting it down! Not real sure but good video!
The master of thumbnails
Zo your cofinadience level on the saw mill is Worlds apart from 12 months ago. Awesome seeing you work that machine for what you want to happen! If I had one, and I do, lol, the blade engage lever was obviously made for a taller person. Your engage looks confident. Disengage always looks weak. Staright arm out. Palm and fingers straight out over the Ball. Lay the middle of you palm onto the ball, warp your fingers and pull straight back. Make that machine shut down Mom!!! (So happy for you two) Awesome team making these vids!!! Thank you!!!👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
