    Great video. As always when working with heavy metal paint, no brusb licking, no airbrushing.

    Very nice work, thank you for encouraging us to start with a light sketch, instead of just blocking in colours. Gives me much food for thought!

      You're welcome. Glad you like it. There's much more video content on the patreon if you're so inclined. 20-30 hours in total at this point 🙃

    Incredible work and I love the model!
    Which model line is this from?

    • @Watchpaintdry_minis
      @Watchpaintdry_minis  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you! The model is sculpted by my friend torben ryde and has been sold by Nordlys miniatures. Nordlys is unfourtunately shut down now. But this model, along with torbens latest sculpt will be available on this kickstarter campaign. www.kickstarter.com/projects/1355278117/the-archer-a-torben-ryde-miniature-display-sculpt
      The campaign starts today and runs the next two weeks. By then both models will be gone for good. So if you want it, now's the time!

    Amazing job and really nice video!!👏👏
    May I ask for the nmm recipe? Mine always goes too much towards blue, kind of a dark sea blue + ivory or something like that?

    • @Watchpaintdry_minis
      @Watchpaintdry_minis  Год назад +1

      Thanks for watching.
      For the NMM I'm not really using a set recipe. Rather, i'm trying to use the colors that i'm already using in the painting, and thinking about the colors of the ambience that the metal would reflect. So my best advice is to try to mix grays in various values and play around with the colors already used in the miniature. Just make sure to use a lot of white to brighten.
      I show how i mix the nmm for a different project in a different video - that's here: ruclips.net/video/pcM7VNXyArk/видео.html
      And for the edits on my videos on patreon, i go more in-depth with this as well. Hope that helps.

      @@Watchpaintdry_minis pretty much. When you say mix greys you refer to neutral or greys with hue? I'll check again later as I already saw when released 🤗 Thank you 🫶

    • @Watchpaintdry_minis
      @Watchpaintdry_minis  Год назад +1

      @@christiansebine7316 Always greys with hue. Would never use neutral grey alone. Always add some hint of color to it. Try to mix a neutral grey with black and white, and then play around with adding different colors. You can do a lot in the desaturated space :)

      @@Watchpaintdry_minis thanks! I guessed so but I had to ask just in case you refered to neutral as a good option and I guessed wrong as your experience is far more advanced 😊

    Are you still using oils?

    • @Watchpaintdry_minis
      @Watchpaintdry_minis  Год назад +1

      yes. absolutely. I'm working on more oil content as we speak. I just had a fling with the smincke primacryl colors that I recently discovered.

    • @NobleWizard
      @NobleWizard Год назад

      @@Watchpaintdry_minis Sweet. Are you going to do any TMM content? There’s little to nothing around making it nice to see some content on it. Even if it’s just you experimenting and then putting something together

    • @Watchpaintdry_minis
      @Watchpaintdry_minis  Год назад +1

      @@NobleWizard Might do something with TMM. I have a silver paint in oil that i've yet to experiment with!
