Multiple pictures taken from the same place (on a tripod) as the build progressed, then the pictures put after one another in premiere, then camera movement effect added afterwards. Amazing what you can do simply using pictures!
Carpet actually doesn't matter too much. Studio builders often just make the floors wood so the audio engineers have an easier time moving from analogue gear to the computer. I forget the exact reasoning behind it but after 3 weeks of listening to and reading about building studios, I don't have the energy to go back and find out lol
As a new RUclips creator, this was a great video. I may never need such a room, but the technical explanation behind your design decisions was very interesting. I have been watching the channel since the early days and always enjoy your videos. It is wonderful to see your guys grow into a full film company. Well done!
I think it's actual footage from the room - cut together with added camera shake in post. At least that's how I'd approach it... feel free to correct me :D
It looks great!!! But also... Very grey... I'm sure it makes a good difference in color grading, but couldn't you put in any tiny splash of color in the room? The color grading artist deserves colorful life too 😂
Coming back to this video is hilarious. The constant butting in by anders just makes me laugh so hard. LOL "We're not making hollywood films here" "What about my new fantasy film? Is that not hollywood enough?" haha
Not sure about your speaker positioning though- 'for the best sound possible the speakers should be pulled a bit back from the wall'. Not true. You either want them far enough away from the wall that the sound reflections aren't an issue or close enough that acoustic reflections are still coherent to the speaker. Less than 1.5m but more than 0.3m (your positioning) is probably the worst of both worlds.
Hi guys, it's been a while! I'm eagerly waiting for the short film. It's funny to see that I've had pretty much the same parts on my shopping list.. I wouldn't call it "on a budget" though, haha! You should definitely consider upgrading to Finnish Genelec speakers when you have the spare money ^_^
could you tell us more about your 3.1 sound setup and mixing and rendering process? why do you do this only in left+right+center+sub/lfe? why not 5.1 ??? I know, that Davinci Resolve knows main output with LCRS, but who "wants" this?
Just a heads up. If you’re using GPUs for commercial purposes, you are not allowed to use the consumer models. It is against the license agreement you implicitly agree to when you purchase it. Consider a quadro, they’re pricey but you’re allowed to use them for film industry applications.
That's just soooo good and well organized !!! But i think u should get a haircut that suits u better , no offense but am sure if u trim it u would look 10 times better 👍 well done 🤍
I was a bit worried when you blocked the only natural light in that room... but having seen 16:15 the final result! I get it. Incredible work looks like a dream setup.
Very nice! Good for a one man band indeed. I could see a small office having three of these stations, one for the editor, one for audio and one for the colorist
Great job guys! Few years back, nobody would have trust a TV monitor for color grading, but I guess that now contrasts aren't so bad no more. Do you output your image with a decklink card from your computer?
Wooooow I would love to work there with people like you. I wish I could find a few people to create a great production company like yours. The set up is awesome and yes, as a sound editor I approve it ❤️

This looks phenomenal. It's the best room for you to concentrate!
By Scandinavian standards, isn't Morten pretty funny and playful? (But seriously, I liked his presentation of all the upgrades!)
10TB of Nvme storage???.....alright...that's one way of calling other people poor. lol
Norwegian standards can go that far! :D
10TB, try 50GB :-)))))))))) not one 6 x 50TB :-)))))))))))
That transformation animation at 1:00 blew my mind.

Very nice video as always. I just love your guys' humor! :D

the shots of the room, were they built in a room building software or were they actually shot from the camera?
I think it's actual footage from the room - cut together with added camera shake in post. At least that's how I'd approach it... feel free to correct me :D
Thank you for sharing! Very informative. I will use some of the ideas for my video editing space! Viewer #98,837! HAHAHA!!!
What a topic to make video on.
Amazing dude. I just read the title and I had to open it. Thanks man. This is so helpful .
3 years later but best video out there for this

can you create a tutorial about how you created the transformation animation at 1:03 would be very awesome! :)
With this haircut Morten looks like a nice lady from 1920's New York 😂

Fun & informative! You guys do a lot with a modest budget. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing - please continue!

Thanks! Well, OLED has contrast of infinity, so at least that is not the problem. Yes, Decklink 4k!

Woah, Inspiring stuff
wohow. How did you make the Before/After thing at 1:13? It's handheld and it moves forward - how could you mix these two shots with masks like this?
It's probably recorded still and they add in the movement and camera shake in post, the rest is just comp I believe
@@cruzefx3652 i thought that first but it didn’t feel like it. Maybe you’re right
