I know my dog hates me and I keep asking my mom why my dog loves her more. I never got an answerr, she just says "She loves you!" But she just ignores me, doesn't care, no matter what I do she still doesn't care about me. She knows me as a gateway to my mom.

I never thought the indifference I get from my dog was 'just because she does not like me'. I thought my rescue dog may have been mistreated. But reading up on this, I think she just does not like me, and sees me as a feeding machine. She is never aggressive, and there are signs she likes me, but she does not make eye contact, won't sleep in my room, does not like to eat in front of me, and leaves the living room when I come in in the morning. She does not come to me when I call her. She does greet me when I come home. My 17 y/o who died last year was the opposite. She knew if I was sad, followed me everywhere - all the signs of love. I have always had two dogs, but due to finances, age, and health reasons, feel hesitant to get a second one but this lack of connection breaks my heart.
I've experienced the same. Luckily it was just a dog I lived with, not "my" dog.

Honestly, IDK if my dog loves me or not. She grunts at me and stomps her feet for attention but constantly gives me the "whale eye". My lack of self-confidence is leaning towards "she hates you".
My dog hates getting picked up and will growl then doing so, but he loves getting scratches. He'll sleep in my room often, though its usually only when my dad isn't home. I've had him since he was 2 months old, I guess I make him feel anxious at times.

I have seen this question on the internet, a dog is first an animal what we want and demand of a dog is second. Dogs are social animals meaning that it’s more natural for a dog to social than not. Socialization for a dog is very different for a human that’s why it’s important to allow your dogs to see, interact with and examine all kinds of things as possible when they are young. Obviously to the safest extent possible. Anyways, studies have been done looking at a dogs brain activity in an MRI that shows more activity in a variety of “happy areas” when it smells you versus any other thing (another dog, a treat, a cat and so on) the study has been repeated with the same results. You as the owner are a significant part of the dog’s social life do bring the dog Joy as we would describe it. Now, how the dog interacts with you. Greats you at the door, wants you to pet them, wants to play with you and so on are things we see as signs of Love. However, it’s not the case that the dog will do this. Sometimes we as humans train this out of the dog and it learns certain behaviors are expected by different people. Think of it like this you love your mom, the person that raised you or was a big influence in a positive sense in your life. Right? But consider are all your interactions with that person you love expressed in all cases? I would argue not really. So Yes your dog loves you most, also loves ball, loves pool or beach, love fetch, other dogs and Other people!!! But loves you most. There’s your answer

Okay so what do I do when I pet my dog until he wants me to stop which he seems to not mind it since he opens hair mouth and jsut chills and even opens up but when I walk even semi near him I’m talkin like 20 feet he goes off like a m249 with barks especially when he has a bone like I could be returning from school and he’ll be chilling on the couch with his bone and just not even let me enter the living room with can be really annoying since I put my backpack in there so how would I fix this I mean i even hand him his bone when he drops it off my bed since he sometimes comes into my room so I don’t think he believes I’ll take it from him

my dog's hate me before because I'm a drugs abuse..now I stop taking drugs my dog seem like me his always wailing his tail when see me back home😁🤫i live a healthy life from now doing more exercise and cardio train my body sleep less then 6 hours a day 👍..i left my 5 times a day salah and stop taking drugs..and all the stress in my life is gone..because that's what people around me want me to be.. there's is no need to do all that things anymore for me🤣😁🤟all because of COVID-19..
