Spiderman is a great trilogy but for me Batman 'The Dark knight' trilogy is the best of all time 😁
Peter Parker is a nerd. He can get angry, but he doesn't necessarily know how to show his anger. That's why it seems cringy. How is a nerdy guy supposed to act when he's ANGRY towards others or COOL towards women.
He goes from Women to women and leaves them like Trash
I don't understand why you laugh when he cries, not everyone has a pretty face when they cry........ and everyone knows that, because he's going through a really bad or traumatizing time.

It’s worth noting that the black suit, with the symbiont, not only does it merge personalities between itself and Peter Parker, but it augments his existing powers. Like a third more powerful. Quite an enticing prospect for our friend.

My favourite thing about this movie is that, if you think about it, the real villain here was Peter's ego all along. And although Sam Raimi didn't want to use Venom but was forced to, he still managed to make it work for the story he wanted to tell.

Venom first appeared as Spider-Man's iconic black suit in Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 issue #252 in 1984. It wasn't until 1988, 4 years later in issues #299 and #300 that we found out that Spidey's black suit was the symbiote Venom. The character of Eddie Brock, played in this film by Topher Grace, and by Tom Hardy in Sony's Venom films are the same person just in different universes, and just like in the comics served as the host of the Venom symbiote after Peter Parker seperated himself from it.

@@razorsfury6519 It kind of is since so many people don't bother to do even that. I'm a Gen Xer-kids my age read comic books. I am always surprised that younger ones only know these characters from the movies-doesn't anyone read comics anymore? (I am seriously wondering about this)
@@SJHFoto no it's not. It actually makes me think less of you because you are pretending to care about the character as well as pretending you know what you are talking about and still got something wrong since the don't movie version had nothing to do with Spider-Man
It may not have started as such, but the black suit spiderman thing has become my favorite steroids metaphor in comics. It makes the wearer better but hypes up the wearers' aggression and ego. And it takes more and more from the host the longer they wear it.

Unfortunately it was an awful decision to cast topher grace for the role of Eddie Brock. They really needed a body builder type plus they should not have killed him. Instead should have just let him disappear.

@@williamrosmer8381 Only partly. The symbiote did not arrive by a small meteor. Spider-man actually brings the symbiote back himself but this movie is not going to incorporate anything from the Secret Wars which is to be expected.

This movie gets mixed reviews where some love it & others don’t. I over time learn to appreciate it and the themes of revenge and forgiveness. Venom was one of Spider-Man’s biggest enemies. The origin story of Venom in the comics and most adaptations is similar to the film, Venom is alien called a symbiote that’s goal to bond to a host to survive. Once bonded, it gains the host’s abilities, memories, and personality. When it bonded to Peter, the symbiote slowly corrupts Peter making him more aggressive bringing out his inner insecurities/negative feelings. Once Peter found out the truth, he got rid of it and bonded to Eddie Brock who like in the film, blame Spider-Man for ruining his life. They became Venom and was a dangerous foe until he & Peter worked together and made a truce and since then Venom became a anti hero. There are two Venom movies with a different actor and not the version in Spider-Man 3 but I would recommend watching them when you get to Tom Holland’s films. I’m not sure if you’ll watch all of the Spider-Man films so wanted to ask. ^^
I was honestly just so happy that Peter finally got to forgive and move on, it made my heart so warm 😭 I’ve seen the Tom hollad Spider-Man movies before so I probably won’t react to them anytime soon 😊 will be doing the Andrew Garfield ones tho! Think they are on netflix somewhere

It has four films & one tv show currently. There’s a fifth movie coming out at the end of the month. The films are Godzilla (2014), Kong Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), & Godzilla vs Kong (2021).

This film is so funny but it's got some deep themes.
Peter's ego & pride was the idea for the film. In begining, before the symboite (black suit which actually is an alien from the meteor), his ego and pride is very inflated, and it makes him blind that MJ is struggling, because he's so happy with himself and that Spider-Man is finally getting recognition. When he gets the black suit, the symboite infects you and brings out aggression, bad side which is why he is so different from the dorky nerdy kind Peter Parker we know and love. The symboite also serves as a metaphor for addiction, how Peter keeps going back to it. By the end, he admits he's done terrible things, and he learns that revenge is not the way, and that like Aunt May said, it's like a poison, it could turn you into something ugly (which it did) when he accidentally hit MJ, he became more awake that this isn't him, which is why when MJ asks who he is, he says "I don't know" he takes it off and finally reterns to the Spidey we know and love. Forgiveness is the theme of this film. Harry forgives Peter for their fight. Peter forgives Sandman, & MJ forgives Peter in the end. Eddie dies because he couldn't forgive, and let go of rage/revenge.
SM3 is definitely different than SM1 & SM2 (due to studio interference, with them having the director put Venom in film) so that's why it feels like a roller-coaster.
People still enjoy it despite how messy it is. It's got some deep themes of revenge & forgiveness.

Yeah I did feel like this one was a bit heavier with themes than the other two! I didn’t realise about Eddie actually how he died because he didn’t forgive, poor guy 🥲 I would say it’s a great movie despite it being a bit messy 😂

For the longest time I thought Peter's haircut was changing because of Venom. To me it looked more like dirty hair than an Emo haircut.
I think you've had the same reaction as everyone else when Harry's Butler told him that his father died because yeah it doesn't make any sense but they luckily have an alternate scene in the Editors Cuts of the film where instead of his Butler telling him his father died it shows Harry looking at a cracked picture frame of when him, Peter, and a MJ were all once friends and he realizes that trying to avenge his father has driven him and his friends apart. Oh also Venoms death in the original test screening was apparently much darker where it's revealed that the Symbiote and Eddie fully merged leaving only Eddie's warped skeleton behind so the Symbiote was literally puppeteering a dead man

Yep. The black symbiote originally took Spider-Man as a host in the comics. Making him the black suit Spider-Man, it also makes him evil and stronger and more powerful
There multiple symbiotes in the comics with venom being one of the them. The sykbiote is actually called “ Venom “. In the comics. Eddie Brock gets the same symbiote spidey got making him Venim the superb villain. He’s has the same exact powers as Spider-Man except a bit stronger. He can also disrupt Spider-Man s” spidey sense “”
There’s also another Spidey symbiote villain, and he his the offspring of Venom. The name of that villain is “ Carnage “ and he is red symbiote host and a physici maniac

This is what people were concerned with when Sony announced Venom to be its own separate character, even though he is an integral part of the Spider-Man story.
People who are slow, have no clue about the comics, or worse, a combination of both will resort to unnecessary mental gymnastics when the answer is much simpler.
Entire generation of viewers are gonna grow up thinking the same thing.
This will definitely hurt the Spider-Man history for sure.

I also think there was enough content here to really do 2 movies. And let some of the plot points breathe. I'd have done black suit spiderman/the mj break up/goblin and the first and second sandman fight in one movie ending with eddie becoming venom. 2nd movie would be peter rebuilding relationships and dealing with venom and the returned sandman.

Spiderman 3 is like the Star Wars prequels. People HATED it at first and tore it apart for being a disrespectful entry to the franchise. But after years of marinating in the cringe, jokes, memes, and gifs it was still a joke but at least now a joke everyone can be a part of and laugh with

Spider-Man 3 was made with studio interference. George Lucas had full control over the prequels as he self-financed all his companies. They are not comparable. Fans cannot say they’re disrespectful when the original creator is making them. Fans can cry all they want that’s fine but saying they’re disrespectful is crazy when the director is just making the movies the way he wants it. Spider-Man 3 hate makes more sense because it was directed towards the studio not the director who couldn’t achieve what he wanted

@@icedquokkaWell, first of all, director Sam Raimi didn't want the black suit and Venom in Spider-Man 3, but Sony Pictures insisted that it generate more profits.
After this, he did not find a script for Spider-Man 4 in time that he liked enough and it was cancelled, but it is known that the Vulture would have appeared (later seen in the first one by Tom Holland) and Black Cat played by Anne Hathaway ( Curiously playing a similar role as Catwoman in the third Batman "The Dark Knight Rises").

I just found out Spider-Man 3 it was supposed to be Sandman as the main villain and Harry Osbourne is the new Goblin Studio Avi Arad interfered Sam put Venom in because if he wanted fans to like Spider-Man 3 even more put in our favorite character Venom but Sam doesn't know Venom but Avi Arad pushed him to do it Sam tried to make it work it didn't go well Sam was unhappy how he made Spider-Man 3

Using CGI instead of other visual effects methods does not necessarily mean you have a bigger budget. In this case though Spidey 3 did get considerably more spent on it than the first movie.
Effects don't make a movie though. Characters and the story you craft around them make a movie! This is easily the weakest movie of the three.
Ooo I thought it was since it costs a lot to employ the people that do it!
@@icedquokka Classic example is Jurassic Park. They spent a lot of money on that movie for the time. But Spielberg used animatronics, even people in suits, everywhere he could and the only CGI dinosaurs are the ones that you actually see a full dino walking, running, etc.
James Bond movies are known for only using CGI where they absolutely have to.
Practical effects look more authentic if you use them properly but can be more expensive.
