I think it was a valiant effort from Mac. He played the best he could. Defense was going through injuries and it was a tough final week match-up against maybe the top or top 2 AFC team. Patriots are in a dangerous spot. 2 years of being average. You don't want to be that team that is 8 and 9 or 9 and 8 every year. O Line needs work. They need to move Patricia to D coordinator and bring in someone like Obrien who's an offensive guru. But they may need something better than Mac..Mac is ok, but let's face it, ok doesn't win super bowls. Look at the top AFC teams. Mahomes, Allen, and Burrows. It's not a surprise these are the top AFC teams and they have the top 3 QBs in the AFC. With Mac. You can tell he has a confidence issue. He also doesn't have the same zip on the throws the others have and isn't as good on his feet either. Pats nation doesn't want another average year next year. The pressure will be on Bill. Rest of their D and O is solid. And thanks for your breakdowns. I enjoy watching all of these. you do a great job with the channel.

I think he’s already proved he can’t be a DC after Super Bowl 52, so we can just keep him as Senior Football Advisor to keep Bill happy but remove any real power from him. If we can get DHop, this team is good enough to be one of those top teams

It's simple what we need. We need a better O-line to give Mac more time in the pocket with better protection. We need a True offense weapon and we need more CB and safety help. Getting fast in offense n defense would be of great value. After Tom Brady last season with the Patriots i know the team he had around him wasn't going to get the job done. When we signed Can Newton I knew it was a short term replacement. I truthly believe we can when with Mac Jones if we surround him with great players and sadly New England hasn't been able to. We all saw want Mac did in college he doesn't need to be a Mahomes, Allen, or Burrow. He need to just be Mac Jones and do his job in doing the little things Im a proud New England Patriots fan till the day I die, i love this team but hate our fan base because we need to be better we have been blessed n spoiled at the same time.

@@damikey18 I have no problem with Mac, he is a slightly above average qb, But he isn't going to win you many games by himself. He isn't going to outduel, mahomes, burrow, allen...So sure the pats can make the playoffs here and there, but it is many years of mediocrity with him as qb.

With or without D-HOP , we can judge Mac, this year. Last year Mac was dealt a bad hand and he made the best of it . His rookie year he was the best rookie and all he had was Josh Mc- and Myers with Butterfingers Stevenson .
As much as I wanted to give Brady a mulligan the few times he lost he never wanted to take em. . I never heard of a player just given a whole year simply because of some contingent. He didn't behave like a leader. In a lot of plays they could have turned he tide and eeked into playoffs by skin of their teeth. INSTEAD he chose to show up his coaches SO YOU know who did what. Brady wasn't perfect. He had blow-ups. But mostly he was like a controlled explosion exploding into his opponents. Mac is like Napalm(very messy)
Zappe played crap defenses and when the bears came after him he sucked and threw a pick 6 and had several passes batted down at the line because he can’t see over it

They would've won that game had Special Teams not pooped themselves and if the refs didn't rob him of that second touchdown pass to Henry. It's also not entirely his fault they lost against the Raiders. He literally scored two touchdowns back-to-back that were both negated by a stupid timeout taken BY PATRICIA and a dumbass false start penalty on Jonnu Smith (still don't know if Jonnu was being dumb or if the refs were being dumb), Special Teams pooped themselves again by allowing a blocked punt that gave great field position to the Raiders allowing them to score a touchdown seconds before halftime, him and the offense actually put in work in the last quarter and gave the Pats a touchdown lead, but the defense choked away the game-tying drive (questionable touchdown/no touchdown included), and of course, the horrible ending. Mac's effenciency may have been bad that game, but he is not the only one to blame for that loss, as the entire team and the coaching were terrible that game, with the exception of Kyle Dugger who had that sick pick 6, and maybe Marcus Jones who completely shut down Devante Adams (although he was terrible during that aforementioned game-tying drive).
