Holland's interpretation of Spider-Man is that he tries to save even the bad guys.
Casting Keaton was so meta; Keaton played Batman, then Bird-Man, now The Vulture. And Bird-Man was about an actor who used to play a super hero. They all fly.

I think this is one of the best Spider-Mans ever. You didn't need a origin story, that has been told over and over again. I like how it just gets to the point and his struggles of being the friendly neighborhood spider-man. There's an Easter egg in there where the guy playing the radio loud on the boombox is the same guy that was on the bus, dressed as a punk rocker in Star Trek 4.

Keep up with the MCU. Whatever order in which you watch them, I believe you'll like them all.
When Spiderman came out, one of my older brothers had the first one. Comics up till then really didn't explore how really difficult the dual life is. Spiderman blew up the comic racks because he was an ordinary person with ordinary problems along with the superheroes ' difficulties. HE WAS RELATABLE for every one.
I didn't like comics. I wasn't a girlie girl, I just didn't bother until the day my brother handed me the first Spiderman to read. I was very young and, fortunately, read at a high level.
At some point I stopped reading them but I never forgot my favorite guy superhero.
We all have our favorite Spiderman. The first film followed the origin best in my opinion, but I think all could be watched to get a fuller understanding of it.
    Cheers.
I've enjoyed watching the movies with you. Makes life less lonely.
