I gig 4-5 times a week most of the time but sometimes 3 times and this is by far the best mixer I have had !! It’s so small and compatible ! Easy to carry around, the cleanest sound I have had from a mixer !

Best bang for the buck in karaoke mixer. I have been using this mixer for 2+ years without any issues. I run my TV audio out into the mixer and can play just about any song from my laptop, DVD, or RUclips after connecting through the TV.

Very useful information - one thing that has been a problem is recording to a portable hard drive unit, the mixed sound. Following guidelines for the recorder we connected the RCA outputs into the recorders XLR inputs. However we cannot get any of the effects dialled into the various channels to record. Is this infact possible - are we missing something obvious - cheers

i have a alto zmx 122 fx can run a guitar through the stereo slot and wich hook up gives the best sound the cntrl or main out
If I use a Y-adapter and record through a zoom off the mixer do I only lose the effects?

So I am only using one channel on each of the speakers

What's the best all around mixer? I'm planning to do a simple recording setup at home but also wanted to use the equipment I have for live performances and karaoke as well. Now, I'm looking at the xenyx 1202, yamaha mg10, and this mixer zmx122fx. Those 3 mixers I've mentioned sort of fits my budget. Cool! I used mine for karaoke for years. Never really used the fx part of it though. I mainly used the rca in from my computer. NOW, I just use it for recording my podcast videos since the CV19 shut everything down. Maybe now I'll look into the effects part of it and experiment a little. Thanks for the video!

i have this mixer and i use it for Karaoke and get on fine with it. However i can never seem to get the effects to work through the speakers. the only time i've heard them come on is when i've put headphones into it. Any idea's? think it's to do with how i plug in the laptop.

Yes, you CAN use 1/4" microphones in those "line" jacks. I've tried it with mine, and mics work just fine. They work no different than XLR connections.
True. I do the same. I plug my microphone into the quarter inch and works just fine

Very informative! Can I use the mic inputs for my electroinc drum kit? I have 1/4 to XLR cables and 1/4 to 1/4 cables. I have an electronic drum kit and a multi pad kit. Yes, yes and yes. If you're buy speakers get powered speakers, if you have some passive speakers you could just add an amp.

Great little mixer ..but the effects and monitor are upside down on the main controls side???What D Fac ?? And they are both yellow RRrrr....Lucky sound quality is good and I found it as a deal on KIJIJI.
The form factor and layout of the Alto ZMX series mixers appears very similar to the Alesis Multimix series mixers. Are these 2 companies, Alto and Alesis, related in any way?
They are like a joint company. I mean the effects alto uses are made by alesis.

I use two cameras with one audio source, the second camera is just a little off its timing. or I had to redo that clip for the close-up.

They’re left and right mono outputs. You can pan each individual channel but you’ll need to outputs both R&L main out if you want a stereo image. None of the in or out connectors are TRS but the headphones.

Have a look at the harbinger lx12, I have a video for it. FX is like coffee beans 🫘 one person's loves it 😋 some one else hates it 🤪.

Yes but you would not be able to record 4 individual channels. You could split the mics into main L and R channels and then record them into mono through your interface or you could record all four mics in a stereo image. You don’t be able to edit individual mics. It’ll work but you won’t have as much control as using an interface with four mic pres
Not exactly karaoke related but would anyone here be able to help me out? I'm very VERY new to this. I'm attempting to record just spoken dialogue with an MXL 990 condenser mic and this mixer. I have the mic plugged into the board just fine, but not sure where to plug the 1/4" to USB to hook to my computer. Do I need to be using an RCA y-splitter?

Dear friend I have them open but the only problem I have is that i don't get reverb to monitor. i mean one active speaker connected to 1 MON (above of AUX SEND) How can I send reverb only there? (mixer's bulit in reverb)

I am having an issue getting output from the main mix on the left side. No sound from the speaker. I bought new cables and still no sound. I switched the speakers and still. I switched the cables and still and switched the sides from left to right on the main mix and still. The speakers are crispy on the right. ;( help!
when using one speaker and cable that you now work move it to the left and right side of the Mixer and let me if both sides of the mixer work on only one side.
And check your pan / balance L/R on the channel your using.

Depends on the environment. You only need PA speakers if you plan on using it for large parties or big centers. If it’s just for home use than monitor speakers are just fine

There are 2 buttons the top one changes what the meter says, if it is pushed down, you’ll see what the aux is playing. Turning off the bottom one will not change what shows on the meter. The bottom one turns the 2 inputs on the top left corner on or off. Hope this helped!
