Seeing old school AC vets getting hyped for this is awesome!
Talking about old school, damn it's been a while playing AC game, the last AC game i've play is Last Raven
First AC I've played was Formula Front on PSP and I never looked into any other mecha game since.
Maybe Battletech, but AC just scratches a different itch yknow
Welclme back Ravens!
the first I played was my friend's copies of 2 & 3 and then I got 4, 4 Answer, 5 and Verdict Day. All on the Xbox 360. Absolutely loved the in depth detail of the mech building. Cannot wait to have that experience again. Makes me have hope for a possible Chromehounds sequel.
@@Dracobyte yeah that's not gonna end well for me, fells like a newbie playing AC for the first time😑
There's always been a story or lore behind the armored core series. But Fromsoft being Fromsoft, the stories has always been so deep that you really need to read the lore or connecting the dots from the characters dialogues. Same thing what they have done with the Soulsborne and Elden Ring games. And playing Armored Core when I was a kid, never really care bout the story and just go guns blazing. Really stoke for this game, it has been long time coming fellow Ravens.
Personally, I hope that 6 is the beginning of Armored Core being a lot more story focused. Not CoD style where gameplay only exists in order to experience the story. But moreso just as an equal balance. I'd love this so much because I'd love to see what kind of story Fromsoftware could create when it's not meant to be as cryptic and fragmented as Soulsborne stories.
The main difference between Soulsbourne lore and Armored Core lore: In Soulsbourne lore you aren't given the entire picture and need to piece together the scraps you find to get a complete picture, in Armored Core the information you are given is always biased and colored by the Corporation it comes from, you have to sift the truth out of the discrepancies of conflicting Corp. lies.
@@for_the_lore5567 absolutely, since 6 seems to be a lot more story focused. I'm really, really hoping that the protagonist we play as is a heavily flawed individual who's still just another Merc besides that. It's been mentioned that we've seemingly stolen a call sign, we're flying on "borrowed wings". It seems likely we stole the identity of another pilot to get to Rubicon. Someone we killed maybe. I'd love an Armored Core story where the protagonists have no illusions that they're the heroes the galaxy needs. And that all they really try to do is keep as much of their humanity as possible while surviving.
@@kieranadamson3224 I'm pretty sure that the protagonist will be like all the other protagonists from Armored Core, a blank slate that you will project yourself on and be characterized by which missions they accept. Never once have I felt like an Armored Core protagonist held a belief that they were a hero in any shape or form.
Finally, the Mecha genre can be reignited once again!
This would be the one!
Now all I need is for SquareEnix to pick up themself and revive Front Mission,
Also BandaiNamco to remake Gundam True Odyssey (aka MS Saga)
@@HenSt-gz7qj they made Front Mission Remakes!
BandaiNamco should also make a new Macross game and release them in Europe and the US.
SEGA pay attention! Now it's time to bring back Virtual On[without an anime crossover]!
When they talk about augmented human, they were mostly likely referring to the AC6's equivalent of Human PLUS (alt spelling Human+) subjects. Human+ in AC1 up to Master of Arena are cybernetically-enhanced Ravens. AC2 and Another Age technically don't have Human+ because it was replaced with the OP-INTENSIFY part that can be equipped to the AC. So, it's an enhancement directly to the AC, not the pilot. AC3 to Nexus implied that Human+ still exists as part of its background although not specifically mentioned anywhere. AC4 & 4A do not have Human+ because the pilots or LINX are naturally capable due to having a special psychic trait that they must have in order to connect to and pilot their NEXTs.
Interesting...
I thought OP-INTENSIFY first came out in AC3. Also, AC4 and ACFA have AMS, which is basically Human-PLUS in the 4th Gen.
5th Gen was the only one where Human-PLUS doesn't exist at least in a way that's accessible to players.
@@enricopaolocoronado2511 I don’t count AMS as Human+ equivalent because it is part of the base tech that makes a NEXT…well, a NEXT. If there is one that could be argued to be a Human+ is CUBE, the cyborg LINX of X-Sobrero who assisted Ostdarva to fight the AC4 protag/White Glint during the Line Ark mission. If AMS is Human+, there’s no need for CUBE to be a cyborg. At best one might say that AMS has similarities to Human+ capabilities but that’s it.
@@volrath77 Isn't the AMS, much like H+, implanted into each Lynx, similar to how H+ was implanted into Ravens that have them?
@@enricopaolocoronado2511 Not enough info as far as I know. It could be the equivalent of the psycommu system or psycoframe tech in Gundam. I certainly do not recall any mention of it being directly grafted to the pilots.
As for OP-INTENSIFY, my memories are rusty. After checking wiki, yeah they were introduced in AC3.
Trying to understand Armor Core story is like trying to understand Ace Combat story😂, I was a kid when I played both, all I understood was to take the contract and blow stuff up.
😂😂😂
both AC franchises in a nutshell and we all love 'em for it lmao
The only reaction of Armored Core 6 that I was waiting for.
Hope you enjoyed it!
As a veteran and watching reacts this is the best reaction so far. Hands down i felt these vibes and i felt those feelings in reminiscing of the old missions. If you know you know. I did like how the new guy picked up on the concepts really fast though. And yes you never have enough credits to buy all the parts you need or want lmao. Great video. Get ready to fly Ravens in August!
These guys are 100% accurate in the way they describe the series! love it!
As soon as Jei said Zone of the Enders... I knew what was up... PS2 CLASSIC!
CLASSIC!
Huh. Now that you’ve mentioned it, now I’m reminded of the Zakat orbital frame although that one spammed energy beams instead of missiles. Speaking of missiles, the shape of that (most likely) boss looks like one of the forms taken by one of Dante’s Devil Arms. Can’t remember which Devil Arm from which game though.
Hi i am from Russia, and i too fun AC! Мы дождались, наконец АС на PC! Ожидаем крутую игру и которая не проходится часа за 2-3 как 4 и 5 части
RAVENs FOREVER!!!!!..... The Acid Level "Stop Gas Exposure" Armored Core 1 the hardest level
Never heard of armored core. Looks like I’m gonna have to enter the armored core. 😮😮😂😂

It's an amazing underrated gem, with a steep learning curve but an unmatched mecha experience.
The producer said in the ign interview, that they vastly improved the control scheme and new player experience, which I think will solve that issue.
Compared to older AC titles, it looks like "For Answer" (which is good, that's the best of the series) but with the longer mission structure like AC3 (which is also good). Otherwise, mostly looks normal AC with a new greatly improved melee and stability system. Also the bosses look insanely more fun and clearly was a lesson Fromsoft learned from their souls games.
It's gonna be awesome.
Also to clarify for those who always ask, the customization of AC games is normally you select the following parts from a list of possibilities: Core, Head, Arms, Legs, Generator, FCS (your targeting/ewar system), Boosters, Left/Right Arm Weapon, Left/Right shoulder weapon, and some other more optional parts that are specific to their game version.
You are limited by 4 numbers effectively, Core Weight (which rarely comes into play), Arm Weight (also rarely matters), Leg weight (tradeoff speed/agility for more carrying capacity), and generator output (affects how much "energy" you can dedicate to weapons such as a linear cannon taking a huge chunk).
There are huge varieties of parts available including such things as arms that are themselves weapons (no hands), radar antenna as a head, or as shown in the trailers quad spider legs.
One can kindof look at building ACs as a tradeoff of damage, speed, armor, ammo capacity. Different leg types have different behaviors such as tank legs being able to fire large cannons on the shoulders without having to kneel like the bipedal.
After your AC is constructed you can customize it's paintjob add custom emblems etc to give it your unique flair.
As the speakers mentioned, you'll be frequently tinkering to adjust your load out for the perceived mission at hand. Ammo costs money and there is no sense in bringing more than you need. Gotta trim that fat if you wanna remain agile.
Oh and for reference, I'll probably approach this looking for almost a classic nineball setup. Medium build with medium bipedal legs, an assault rifle or sniper rifle with really high stagger for the right arm, medium weight energy blade in the left hand, a reasonable guided missile pod on one shoulder, and an ammo box on the other. Heavy generator and nice powerful/thirsty boosters. FCS focused on seeing enemy attacks on my radar.
Basically poke things from afar until you get them low enough to rush in for the kill. The missiles are for fighting larger targets that require more firepower to crack (like tank leg built heavies). The powerful boosters keep you mobile as long as you keep an eye on your energy, and your awareness from the FCS allows you to dodge a lot of incoming fire.
That is until I find a kawasawa rifle, then I'm dumping all gear for dual kawasawas and two ammo boxes.
@@Xeroize7459 aye appreciate it !! Where can I get the game? What kinda system???
Best reaction I've seen and I've seen dozens. Easy sub.
the angry joe on was off putting tbh.
i have played through 5 Armored Core titles! Its one of the games that re-sparked my passion for gaming! Last Raven was my favorite!
love the energy for this game, boys. hope it's the series revival we need for next gen.
Deathscythe - Epyon Ready for duty 📢📢
it will be at the list "GOTY" 😎👌
Can’t wait until this comes out! There’s gonna be soooo many builds to tinker with.
Wicked, I didn't realise you guys liked Armored Core! I played the first one way back when it came out. Loved it, that old menu music is so nostalgic.
👍
Sam and Jei's reaction from late last yea got me interested in taking a look at this franchise. And after seeing this gameplay trailer I'm all in!
Fromsoftware using their souls like experience here to make this game
The fact I’m all into my Gunpla right now has me even more excited for this lol! Mech for the win! Let’s build.. let’s play. 🔥
Between Gunpla and the AC premier edition, you'll be well immersed into the role of a Core pilot by being cripplingly in debt!
I really hope AC6 is successful enough for Bandai Spirits to start making model kits of it
Evwr since i saw ya'lls reaction to the reveal trailer. I was waiting for y'alls reaction to this one. WOOOOOO i can fucking wait for this game!!!
The best thing about keeping the AC mission ready is huge at the start of any Armored Core game; constantly squeezing your budget to get that next piece that you absolutely need.
Melee weapons that saves you on ammo.
Energy efficient boosters so you can hover on water (instead of sinking to the bottom of the ocean).
Weapon arms that save you equipping arm weapons to begin with.
And can't forget the legacy special weapons that will show up.
That "EMP" already giving away a weapon type that is sure to return.
The "acid" wasn't the worst part - it was the source that was a real problem lol
O m g bring me back to my old day. PS1
18:12 It's like Bliztek says. I've never even heard of Armored Core but it was watching Jei and Sam's excitement at the GOTY Awards trailer and it being a Fromsoftware game that got me interested. The first Fromsoftware game I played and beat was Tenchu 1 & 2 (didn't know it at the time) . I wasn't even planning on playing Elden Ring (bad experience with Sekiro) but the word of mouth and hype got to me and I have played and beaten the game twice. Afterwards I went and played Bloodborne (beat the game,, but currently stuck on DLC final boss Orphan of Kos), I'm about to finish Sekiro and some point I plan on playing Demon Souls and the Dark Souls Trilogy. So yeah I think Fromsoftware has established a solid foundation in terms of what players can expect for them, and I'm up for the challenge and look forward to the release of this game.
Acid level? You mean that mission in ac1 where there was a chemical leak in an underground base and you had to go down (can't remember the actual objective) and your ap would be counting down the whole time and the place was still full of security MTs/automatons?
That would be the one. First time we came across it...HEAD SCRATCHER!
Apparently I liked your vids so much I subscribed twice. I went ahead and subscribed a 3rd time for good measure.
And an inhouse meme was born at From Soft. Instant kill swamps in nearly every game.
The excitement on joe and sam
Every! Day!
I cane up on it too. Love your enthusiasm and knowledge! 🤘🔥🎸 glad to discover the channel
I loved your reactions, it's a mixture of WTF and happiness... I felt the same way, good video guys!
Loved your reaction to the annoucement trailer, been looking forward to this one!
The reaction I was waiting for! OG AC fans can relate to EVERYTHING you guys were saying!!!
SEE YOU IN THE GARAGE 🤣🤣🤣 I’ll be in there ALL DAY LONG 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
The fact that they call him an augmented human makes me think of AC2 on Mars with Human+. Wonder if it ties into that at all.
In case it wasn't said there will not be any coop the campaign is single player only with online PvP arena
No coop, at least for the story mode. But will be pvp multiplayer. Hopefully there will be a coop mode separate from the story.
the fucking acid level from AC1 jesus christ. I had to completely redo my mech and found that 4 legged legs and physical damage rather than energy was effective. Brutal, still can't beat it without getting in the red
I love these guys man, so passionate & so relatable since they're we're from the uk.
Y'all would love the IGN interview with the Armored Core producer
Recorded straight after this...its coming real soon
@@TheCyberNerdsGaming Thank you.
Never played or watched gameplay of Armoured core however this looks awesome 🔥🔥🔥 definitely buying this
I'm just gonna keep it simple for you newbies since I'm an AC veteran ( started with Project Phantasma till Verdict Day).
First, find the right robot setup that works only for you and stick with it until you're comfortable enough to experiment with different builds.
Sound familiar? That's because the Armored Core series is what the Souls games was built upon gameplay wise, instead with mechs, you customize humans with swords, magic and all those whatnots in between.
The story of Armored Cored is split up across a few reboots of the story. 3 started a reboot, 4 was a reboot, 5 was (probably) a reboot. It makes sense they're doing it again. As someone whose first PS1 game was Armored Core Project Phantasma, I'm so happy to see the franchise back. Some of these Souls fans who hadn't heard about From before 2016 are gonna be hella annoying comparing it to Souls, but I'm happy they get to experience a cool new entry in a classic franchise. Should also mention there's an interview IGN did with Ogura, the director, that came out at the same time as the new trailer.
remember you also have to pay for the ammo that you spend after the mission on top of the repairs. Good times!
No co-op unfortunately, as confirmed by the devs. Versus mode is still in though.
Seeing you guys get hype got me hype ngl. I never played any AC game but I could literally feel the way they described it sounds like my kinda thing
AC6 is looking really good! Cant believe they mentioned Zone of the Enders too! such a good throwback mecha game
What's funny is that I've never watched Gundam Wing but I've watched the OG Gundam, 8th MS Team and Zeta
You've seen the good stuff. 0083 is great too.
I'm the same as you guys, haven't played and not interested in Elden Ring/Dark Souls but AC is one of my favorites and this looks amazing!
as big gundam fan and armored core fan this makes my soul happy
7:00 When you realize it just got real! WAGWAN!!!! 🤘🏾
"Ya see the da blade, bruv?!" xD
There was an interview that talked abit more about the game.... y'all should check that out too. ....
Loved watching you guys freak out at the trailer hahah. Great reaction!
They do actually have a developer sit down talking about some details, apparently duels online are back too?
Best in the biz. Both FromSoft and this channel. 🍻
Yes yes!
Fun fact, they dropped that trailer on international Raven and crow appreciation day 😂.
That is dope
Yeah I've been waiting a long time for a new armored core game back in the day armored core nexus evolution and revolution for ps2 were my favorite games and I still play them to this day. I am so hyped for this. And it's cool to see other old school AC vets getting hyped for it to and it's honestly about time the old school mech genre got revived.
As a huge fan myself (favorite game series) love you guys energy! I'll be sure to follow up on your future videos of AC6 going forward.
"Do you have enough to upgrade?"
"You definitely don't."
This is the only game I've ever played where I owed money.
You get charged for ammo. You get docked pay for damage. You get docked pay when you fail the objective.
On paper, just on the strength of those, this game shouldn't be anywhere near as fun as it is.
I love how hyped you guys are about this I’m a new comer to armor core I wish I would of got into these games sooner this looks absolutely Mad!! So sick !
I can't wait to get into THIS GAME!!!!!
LETTSSS GOOOOOOO!!!!!
Armored Core One had the best Story in the series if you ask me. if you want to learn about that story but cant get your hands on AC1. I suggest watching "Armored Core Was it any good" He plays through the entire thing and it shows the story.
its a great story btw, one of those thought provoking ones.
Started with AC2, i feel your pain and joy.
Welcome back Ravens!
Never played one of these but I like Gundam and this drops on my Birthday. Feels like fate to me. 😂
Being one of my faves series since 2002 I am extremely hyped for this. Got the preorder and everything already. Glad to see you all are following this game too!
Time to suit up ravens...let's rock.
Also I imagine atleast Sam has played the Virtual On series. A bit more fantasy-like but another fantastic series atleast the first two titles! 🎮
You guys have the best live reactions
I have my special edition of Zone of Enders still today
Ha Haa reminiscing the amount of time customizing our Mechs last time was sooo long it’s a nightmare but It was Sooo FUUUUN 🤘🤘🤘
AC 4 was my first AC game. But not my first mech game. I never understand why that game was more difficult than previous mech games untill I got Dark souls 3. If all made sense.
Imagine miyazaki calling out himslef (or probably yamamura) to announce that AC6 is the goty at the TGA? 😂
u lot are so funny, love the vibes, subbed
Ive been an AC player since PS2. Amd this looks amazing.
I cant wait for this game I have waited for so long after playing all the others I am well and truly geared for this I'm definitely playing day one (high 5 to all the other AC vets out there)
It's so nice to see old fans reviewing AC6! The Souls fans have no idea what they're getting into.
30 in the shop, 3 in the bot
Close to my birthday august 30th welp I know my early birds present
maybe im biased cuz i love fromsoft but ive never seen a studio earn hype like this before. Game series ive never played before? Doesnt matter its got fromsofts name on it i know theyre gonna make somethin great. Sekiro was in a setting i dont like even a little bit but i bought it because i know fromsoft gameplay wont fail me. What is the number 1 complaint about elden ring? People say the game has TOO MUCH content. It also won every major goty award, something only a couple other games have done before. These guys are legendary.
AC was fully refined before Miyazaki joined the team. You're in for a treat.
I disagree with Dropping the Roman Numerals...
Here's Why;
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon.
IE: AC 6: FoR; ie: AC 64. Retro (Nintendo64) to the Future
3rd Gen. (8bit, 16bit, 64bit (x4, or x8))
Gameplay, nothen else matters if gameplay is the most legitest.
It's Gran Turismo, but with mechs.
I didn't play an AC game before but I've been playing souls games since 2012. Acid level you say? Sounds like poison swamp to me lmao
In all seriousness though as a Fromsoft fan I'm really glad they're doing something different after doing only souls games for 10 years straight (aside from one VR game, which was pretty cool). Dark Souls 1 is my favorite game of all time and I'm mostly playing only games similar to Souls nowadays but I think it's a breath of fresh air both for Fromsoftware fans and the studio itself. This way they can take a break from souls games (c'mon they must me a little tired of doing the same thing) and I'm super curious and hyped to see Fromsoftware's unique and amazing game design philosophy in a modern game that isn't souls.
Yep, AC did poison swamp before Souls. AC refined the AI that you fight in Souls. AC was fully refined before Miyazaki joined the team. And before AC, there was King's Field...
i loved seeing ur reactions lol. CANT WAIT FOR AC6!!!!!
when I think of a good Gundam game I think of something like Titanfall where you can feel the weight of your machine. This looks very floaty, like most of the time it's going to be a side scrolling game where you just move up or down to avoid fire. It's lacking depth, I don't feel like they're piloting a mech...more like remote controlling one.
I loved titan fall 2 this looks sick!!!!
Obviously can't speak to this game other than it looks like other AC games, but I can assure you, the other games had a ton of depth. They had a ton of weight but a build that is built to be airborne can soar until you cut thrusters. You can also do alot of what you see here in other titles but it was dependent on pilot skill. But as far as feel like a stompy multiton robot, it felt as heavy as mechwarrior. The stompiest of mech games. Well maybe not that heavy but it does have weight. Part of why flinging it 600 km/h to the left instantly keeps it going that way for a bit.
People don't understand getting stuck on this game on a level for MONTHS😂 some of these levels where actually unbeatable unless you played them 60+ times
"This is what i hate about video games, their just made to appeal to the young males gam-"
*Say Less*
*Absolutely*
Nah but jokes aside i never played AC before but yall hype is hyping me up fr
That was black. I mean the Mechs
Cab you guys react to the interview
Nine ball
