Your chemistry table and stuff is just out in the middle of the plaza. The villagers are like "yeah that's from our resident adventurer. Our town is just.... like this now."

bro thanks so much your videos have really helped me understand this game better. im currently struggling to get through the 3rd part of the maze even though these armors and weapons use stuff i cant get yet its still very helpful and i appreciate it
One thing regarding Object X with a Talisman, if your RP is at 0, you will not regain your RP from the status effects. You need at least 1 RP for it to start going up again. I think that since you have no RP, the game doesn't proc the Cold ailment even though it should restore your RP. So either make a weaker Object X so it doesn't take 100% of your RP, or go use a Rune Flower or Rune Crystal to restore it again. Overall a very interesting build idea. I always love using the Talisman normally, but never had the patience to grind everything to make a build like this. Nice to see what sort of stuff is possible though.

I was actually thinking of just showing off every boss monster at some point or another... maybe I will after the rest of the staff and equipment stuff.
This is the one build from yesterday that I really wanted to try for myself. The idea of magic-based physical attacks is really good in RF4S. It's kind of a shame that with max difficulty anything physical basically one-shots you. I'd be interested in a build that uses crit instead of Strange Pendant for that reason, even if it's slower.
There are other builds from yesterday that do use Crit instead of Strange, which I believe you've seen. I guess if you want to re-optimise this for Crit though, your best bet is probably to swap out just one of the Dragon Fins for a Tablet of Truth. You overshoot by 5% at the end, but there's no cleaner way to get 100% exactly.
I used to make Crit sets but once you start to dive on absurd level enemies they get insane critical resistance and because of that you probably will be hitting for paltry damage because you almoat never gets criticals.
If your making a weapon, does it matter what level the items are that’s used to upgrade a weapon that is used to put in a slot to make another weapon? Or should it just be level 10 without concern for what was used to upgrade it?

Why did you use double steel first then 10 fold? Wouldn't it be better to use 10 fold first then double? The swcond time you add dragon fin the effect is halved
You're right that the second time you use the item, it gets its effect halved.. However, Double Steel and 10-fold Steel always work on the base effect anyway. Because of that, it doesn't matter whether you use Double Steel or 10-fold steel first. You'll either get (300+600+150+2400 = 3450) or (300+2400+150+600 = 3450).
Why was the inheritance feature not working when you were crafting the rod? I thought I understood the mechanic, but I’m struggling to get it to work right. I’m trying to put the defense buffs of the skate shoes on the water shoes but it’s not working. Is it hit or miss?
Kinda confused why didn't you just the ten fold steel first. Isn't the second use of an item lowering the stats. Or does that item ignore that part? Also any thoughts on best gear for the beginning of each act because on hell mode act 3 is a pain and my weapon is doing nothing against the third floor boss, but massacres everything else so far.
1) 10-fold steel increases the effects of the last item you "upgrade" with, so you can't use it first. This is different from the extra items you "craft" with, so 10-fold steel wouldn't work on those. 2) Every item you use at crafting has its full effect, and the first time you upgrade with it uses its full effect, so everything's fine. You're right though, that the second time you upgrade you have a lower effect, so if when you use 10-fold and Double Steel on the same item, the second time you use the item you get half effect (so you only get 1+8+0.5+2 = 11.5 items worth instead of 12). 3) When you're getting through the game, the best stuff you can use is generally gonna be the highest difficulty thing you can craft. So in Rune Prana 3 you get access to Turnip Miracle and Pirate's Armor for the first time (and Ammonite from the end of Rune Prana 2), for example, so making stuff out of those (such as the Belzebuth Long Sword) could help. Alternatively, you could get some stuff specifically to help you beat the boss, like stuff with Water Res so you don't get hit by that giant Glacier attack.

I’m kind of confused, how did you keep making the same staff with the same things and keep getting 3 glitta? I made the water pot with 3 glitta and I keep getting barret to say 2 glitta when I keep making the staff ugh

Yup! Just put Sorc Wand (if you're making a staff) while crafting and you'll use it's huge stats. If you're making something that's not a staff, put Sorc Wand in and a Light Ore adn you'll be golden.
Hi, can you explain why in the weapon and armor recipes you use the some of the materials more than once when upgrading (Dragon Fin and Love Crystal)? Wouldn't the subsequent material have diminishing effect when upgrading? I watched your other videos but I may have missed something. Sorry if you already explained it somewhere.
Good question! Two things: 1. Using multiple items when crafting still uses their full effect. So putting in multiple Dragon Fins when crafting avoids the diminishing effect. 2. For the best items, even the diminished effect is still better than the full effect of other items. Each repeated item has half the effect of the previous one, and half a Dragon Fin (so +150 INT) is still better than all your other options. Same deal with the Love Crystal. You could, in theory, replace the first Love Crystal with any other Crystal, but the extra Drain Attack is good so you may as well use a second Love Crystal when changing elements anyway.
In the previous video about discussing and designing a set I show a few different weapons and sets. Most of them use Heaven Asunder, which has 50% Faint Attack, which is really, really high Faint Attack. If you want to maximise it, you can use Golden Tyrant Turnips (2%) as well as other large Golden Vegetables/Melody Bottles for another 1%. All up I suppose that means you could hit about 88% Faint Attack or so, but you're going to lose a lot for that.
If you are killed in one shot non-elemental attack, wouldn't just consume prelude to love to get the same effect? it has 107% all element resist 200% love element. minus cannot use rune ability.
That could very much be the case and it would let you put a whole lot more into attack. Gold Juice does increase your actual damage as well though, and you aren't completely guaranteed to get one shot with this current build. If I swapped into Champ Belt that would've been enough to survive one attack, which would be a huge benefit (since then I could heal up and get back into it)

My comment is very late but I still have something to say My pendants are messed up and the dew pendant actually doesn't increase my stats Instead it's the SUN PENDANT I have no idea why this is happening I just tought it would be something I shuld share with the world
Actually it's even more bugged than that My damage is only increased some times Basically when I equipped the sun pendant sometimes the stats of my weapon get doubled and sometimes they don't God dam you game now i have lost trust in my heart pendant and am very confused I'll do a bit more research and if I find out something new I'll write it here agen If I don't make a new comment that probably means that I gave up and am now using a normal physical orientated build
I feal like I also have to say that I'm playing on a 2 ds I also found a guy on reddit with the same problem but that post is very old and he just gave up on using tools as weapons

I have a question, will a diamond brooch's stats transfer when I use it to create another accessory? Cause I have no idea if it'd work or not
Nope.. accessories and shoes inheritance doesn't work like that.. if you want the Diamond Brooch stat it should be your final equipment.
