Pro tip to actually utilize the Bathhouse in this guide: Later on in the game you’ll get an order that let’s you Nationalize the Bathhouse. This costs a lot of prince points but if you give that order the Bathhouse becomes FREE to use. Meaning free healing and free RP recovery.
The trick I used to use was to make a lot of broadswords and then craft without a recipe and use the broadswords as the ingredient. It'll give you scrap metal. Then I'd forge the scrap metal over and over again in batches until eventually they all turned into scrap metal+. This seems more efficient though. Thanks for sharing!
upgrading is a fixed amount of xp... this might work for crafting the initial item, but when it comes to upgrading, just use whatever you have a lot of.
you could also try using the runs flowers and crystals to restore rp by going to the areas that have them near materials like yokmir caves and the revival caves if you don’t have any of the cooking stuff available at the time of trying this
Can I please summarize the whole video? And can you correct me if wrong please? Basically: Each grass has its own difficulty, so we "abuse" that Acquire Iron to forge into Broadswords (Base material for Upgrading) Upgrade said Broadsword(s) with the Grasses collected UNTIL the next Grass's "difficulty" level (aka Forginh/Craafting Lv = the next Grass's difficulty) Repeat ad nauseam? Is that the gist of it?
Mmm, thank you. I've been trying it out and it's worked wonders. You are a professional farmer, no doubt about it. (But seriously, thank you. This'll save a lot of time)
I just started playing RF4 a week or more ago and am loving it. Most of what you are saying in this video is going right over my head. Do you have what you said in this video written (scripted) out? Thank you!
wait... the different colored grasses are upgrade materials?? I didn't know that. I knew they were materials in chemistry, but I didn't know you could attach them to armor and weapons...
These videos made me buy the game like Right now on my 2Ds XL. I’ve been on he fence for buying this for the past 2 1/2 years but I’ve enjoyed your dedication and I honestly hope you’re not done making videos for this game.
ok so once you finish a certain village request, jones will start selling the grasses you need. i think if i remember right, he puts the 4 most recent grasses you sell into his shop.
i thought this was exp levels not crafting levels. while its cool to do this, it doesn't even matter in the end because you also need levels in the different weapon types to get new weapons. farming and fishing need to be at a certain level too in order to get upgraded versions of those tools
Not sure if you can help me with the new RF4 Special release, but this leveling makes no sense to me. I try and do what you say with the grasses, so my forging level is level 39, so I can switch to the level 39 grass, but the RP cost for using it is like 2000?? And only sometimes? Please, what am I missing?
Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure it costs WAY more to use an item to upgrade something than to use it in the recipe. Gold was just a bit above my crafting level, but I was able to use it while crafting the armor. However, the RP cost was far, far above my RP total when I tried to use it to upgrade my armor. So I'd suggest sticking with the current grass until the next grass is not so taxing with the RP consumption. Either that, or you could be mixing up indigo grass and blue grass. I do that all the dang timem
+Wickedneer It's been a while but i think they only sell four different colors at a time (if im not mistaken again its been a while) hence why i said to only start off by selling (the four beginning colors i mentioned in the video) and then work your way up from there. if that doesnt work it may have to do with where you are in the game.
I have to make a correction here. Your eating skill WILL NOT level up I got my forging to lvl 50 the old fashion way by using iron to upgrade instead of grasses and I did drink a lot of hot milk in the process. What does go up besides your forging while you craft is the Fire skill. Also if you're done with Stardew Valley and have time might I suggest you do a video showcasing infinitely-lootable item spots? You know like the fence to the right of the bathouse, in front of granny's shop, the rock on the left side of the castle entrance and I'm sure you know more.
It's been awhile since i made this but when i say your eating skill will increase, i think I'm referring to eating food items you cook. something i suggested doing while forging so you don't have to run to the bath house and waste all of your money.
In a new series i'm doing (rune factory 4 level 1 walkthrough) I show you an even more effective method than this and go through how to do it step by step. Here is the link to the episode that goes over it: ruclips.net/video/Ip3cMoPcpWs/видео.html
For the most part yes, I seemed to have a difficult time getting any grass above yellow to spawn at any of the shop menus. If you want a example of leveling to 50 quickly on the switch version, watch the episode of the level 1 walkthrough titled "the grinding episode" I basically just spend the entire episode telling you better and faster methods on how to level up to 50 in forging and crafting. this guide is still correct on how to level to 50-99 though, you will just have to stick with the highest level grass that you can find someone selling, which will more than likely be yellow grass.
You have no idea how content I am right now to have found a dedicated Rune Factory 4 RUclipsr. Do you use Skype by any chance? I think we'd be able to be friends :)
+Claudio Filho kinda funny how getting PO'ed with a lack of an explanation to a game system led to me making a bunch of videos covering the game but i guess thats how it goes XD, and i don't really use chat services anymore but i always respond to messages on youtube :)
How about i say i can make more easy use citra download Rune Factory edit save after that save your game and use FF4 Edit save you can get any items you want this only can use Citra emulator only
Umm, but wait. Your 3 hour time frame can't include obtaining all the materials you need? That alone takes hours, and though whatever super-high level you are at might make it easier, us low-levels will never make it in 3 hours...

I know what to work on next thx 😂
ah yes, the infamous sex empire,
😭😭😭🙏
Grasses and their upgrade difficulties:
Green: 1
Purple: 5
Blue: 11
Black: 23
Indigo: 29
Yellow: 39
Red: 40
Orange: 48
White: 65
Thank you!
thanks!!

It's fine to make spears instead of broad swords right? Uses the same material, iron
upgrading is a fixed amount of xp... this might work for crafting the initial item, but when it comes to upgrading, just use whatever you have a lot of.
The grass seems to give the same exp as the iron ore while requiring more rp.
this went from 0 to 99 real quick
you could also try using the runs flowers and crystals to restore rp by going to the areas that have them near materials like yokmir caves and the revival caves if you don’t have any of the cooking stuff available at the time of trying this

You are doing the Lord's work John. Thank you 0.0
+Madison Barber Thankya :D
I did it with Turnip Seeds and in about 2 Hours I had Forging and Crafting at Lv 99.
+Blutdrache11 Nice
yooooooo
The info is useful even if your not trying to power level, at least now I know not to waste high lvl upgrade items till I am just above their lvl.
I feel asleep before I could put the video out yesterday... well better a couple of hours late than never.
Am i stupid or its just not really getting into my head?
I actually didn't follow it at all either.
This game has a steep learning curve apparently.......
Well he's not actually doing it as the video goes along. It's confusing. And he's recording with his phone. Sucks cus he's very knowledgeable.
Can confirm i went from 1 - 50 under 60 mins but the prep was a pain to deal with, the prep it self was over 1h 30m
so it does work to a point
I just started playing RF4 a week or more ago and am loving it. Most of what you are saying in this video is going right over my head. Do you have what you said in this video written (scripted) out? Thank you!
I am worrying about the grass do you do all the green grass then the purple or 1 green then 1 purple
GRASS EXPLOITS
wait... the different colored grasses are upgrade materials?? I didn't know that. I knew they were materials in chemistry, but I didn't know you could attach them to armor and weapons...
Unlike the older games, you can upgrade anything into your weapons/armor in Rune Factory 4.
Thanks for the tip! Looking forward to trying this out! XD

Does the money glitch from RF3 work on RF4?
So, ur vids are awesome. Ur personality and humor is adorable. Youre just flippin adorable. Keep up the awesome videos
Playing rf4 for the first time ever and haven’t met Dolce yet because my mining is low, but I’ll use this once I do…!
Woaaahh :o thanks a lot! This help so much
Yo nice kitchen setup. I have my cooking tools against the wall. Maybe I should move some stuff around to shake things up.
Wait do you ship 1 grass per day or all of them at once but in order ??
ok so once you finish a certain village request, jones will start selling the grasses you need. i think if i remember right, he puts the 4 most recent grasses you sell into his shop.

It's all good and everything, but why do we need the heart pendant?
You don't NEED it, but it increases the skill points you earn, making the grind much faster
@@JohnEBoyVideos thanks, I didn't know that!
I sold 9 of each coloured grass (up to yellow) however only blue is available in the medicine shop? what did I do wrong?

Gold grass? I don't think I've ever seen any. Where can I find gold grass?
can we have english or spanish subtitles? cause im bad at spoken english so a little hard for me to understand this tutorial qwq
+Konnichiwa Himura-san uhhh, i can try? definitely not spanish though, dont know how to speak that language too well.
John E Boy i can translate it to spanish then .w. /)
Have you tried the auto-captions for RUclips? I've watched this video with captions on and they work flawlessly, due to his clear pronunciation.

it's pronounced ZECHS, like Zechs Merquise from Gundam Wing.lol
