I have a renault clio 1.6 coupe. What I want now is to buy the engine in fact this Monday maybe I will, the problem is that it has an automatic gearbox and I'm trying to get a manual gearbox for this engine, the k20A. My question is whether I occupy the original k20A box or not. Also as it did to be able to have the speedometer, since the clio has another sensor compared to the K20. If you could help me please. To all this spectacular project, surely it must go super fast.
So sorry for the late reply mate. Been crazy at work! So your Clio has an automatic gearbox? Or your K20?
If you want to retain the Clio clocks, the best way is to retain the ABS as it's where the sensor takes the speed from on the Clio (so I'm told).
I'm not 100% sure on the fuel pressure regulator, but I'm aware they've put a Walbro 255 pump in place. Best thing to do is message Custom Production on Facebook and they'll be able to answer more questions for you mate.
I think I might never change my cambelt and dephaser in the hope of the engine blowing up so I can have an excuse to do this swap.

Do you think the K24 engine would fit in the car? Its half the price of the K20 where I'm from. Epic build btw! Looking forward to seeing it when its completed.

Their not exactly slow standard, is it still a FR4 engine under that red rocker cover??
Haha, I love the F4R.... I just think they're very highly strung. Getting them past 200bhp is a challenge Naturally aspirated.
Few bolt ons with K20 and they're 240-250bhp quite easily and there's room for it to have 400+bhp and it'll take it without being forged 😊
@@GEARED_MrLucas Yeah their very expensive to tune, I’ve got an 182 cup in racing blue ( the only colour to have) it’s got a RS 192 exhaust and apart from that it’s standard goes well for what it. Throttle bodies, cams and piggy back Ecu to get 25-30 hp gain just ain’t worth it. What are you expecting top end out of the 400 bhp beast?

Alot of people have said the same 😄 I'm a massive Honda fan and wanted to do this swap for a few years now, but going to keep it NA for abit. I'll be pretty happy with a good setup and 240bhp 💪🏻
@@GEARED_MrLucas 300-320 is fairly easy with one of these NA with some cams and a K24 bottom end....400bhp NA is possible with a serious build....500 is doable, and the top nitro drag boys are running 600bhp on NA setups. Have a look a 4 piston racing motors
@@seshelbow336 Hi mate, yes you can get near 300bhp quite easy. Anything after that you're chasing figures and spending forfunes 😄 I just want a nice balance and setup for trackdays 🏁 K24 Frank may be on the cards in the future 😉 Get it all working as it should and go from there
