Love that Bjork referred to this as a funny video
right lol
the first time i watched i couldn't stop laughing at the aphex demon screaming at the grandma face
But it is funny
She's the virgin who brought me here.. Popping good time
Makes sense if you watch her "Where is the line" video.
My grandma used to sing this to me every night before bed.
RIP Grandma 1945-2019 fly high 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
OMG funny then sad in equal
Guess, who sang to her "Come to daddy"...
She wanted your soul?
Come to Granny , Come to Granny!
Well, that's nothing. My Grandma used to sing me "Hurt" by the 9 Inch Nails. I could tell she was winding up to it when I'd see her screaming into a pillow to get her voice nice and shredded for it.
i showed this to a girl i wanted to date. Stayed single for 20 years after that.

Well I did and she has a window licker face ever since

Aphex Twin always has been playing in a league of his own. One of the most remarkable artists in electronic music.
Netsuko - and with Avril 14th I would say even not in electronica he’s pretty remarkable..
The most.
& STOCKHAUSEN....
He amazes me.
I'm a huge fan of C418, composer of Minecraft and producer of a tonne of great music in a variety of styles not just related to Minecraft, and I thought he was pretty cutting edge.
But then I realized Aphex Twin was doing a lot of the stuff I liked in C418 10-20 years earlier.
If not one of the greatest techno artists of all time
Once upon a time when Richard trolled drum and bass and became a legend...
I think that was around the last time that he would tour North America before refraining from doing so for a very long time.
ruclips.net/video/rYqkQ60Chjg/видео.html
Then he helped created what we know as "Drill&Bass", a style that only very few artists can pull off tastefully
Most of Aphex twin music is not aggressive, it's just chill cool stuff, when this came out it really showed his genius, like he can change gear whenever he wants and still be on top and way ahead of everybody else
The amount of aggression in this song is off the charts. Holy moly!

@@alstokesveteranfilmmaker913 Hi! By the way, what was that half-man and half-demon creature? Was it representing anything in particular? What I understood from both song and video combined is that the media are the demonic force claming the human soul for themselves. Greetings from Argentina!
@@jimeferra Yep, I was that creature and on some jobs I find it is best not ask too many questions as it can upset some film directors. Stop being a damn conservative and dummy, it's an elitism and also music (and art in general) is subjective and you can't claim that something is worse or better, that's simply a question of your taste, nothing more, and if you think i'm wrong OPEN ANY DAMN VIDEO WITH ANY ARTIST AND YOU WILL SEE THE SAME COMMENT AS YOUR, WORD BY WORD, YOU WILL FIND PEOPLE LIKE YOU IN EVERY SINGLE COMMENT OF ANY ARTIST OR TRACK, WHICH SHOWS EXACTLY THAT THIS IS SIMPLY A SUBJECTIVE OPINION AND YOUR TASTES, NOTHING MORE. I've seen pop bottles roll across the room and crush like paper, non stop running back and forth in an upper hallway ALL DAY while I was with a friend hiding in a fort until my dad came home, ash trays slammed on tables with perfect circular ashes and an upright tray on the chair next to it, ghosts watching around corners when I had the courage to look, this damn kid laughing in the basement and making my dogs go insane every morning at 3am, sinks turning on, televisions and steroes turning on or off depending..
I hid under a blanket for hours trying to sleep every night because I could hear bumps and bangs and felt them watching me (I still cant sleep in silence 25 years later) I always need a fan running. Nightmares EVERY NIGHT. Even when I dream of that house these days it is always sinister*
I moved in with my mom eventually after my sister couldnt take it anymore and my dad was left with it, he eventually admitted bad things happened in there**
Then it stopped, I dont remember fully but I think a preist was brought in to cleanse the house and it stopped years later.. at that point i was older and into drugs (no surprise) but I was trippin with a buddy and out of nowhere I looked over and there was something similar and as horrifying as the thing that climbed out of the tv in this video... it was slouched over the shoulder of my friend in a way I cant explain.. almost as if it had him in his possession as it were.. the same buddy who endured most of the experiences I had.
At that point I knew the presence was still lurking... and I can almost say for certain that dark energy has never left my side.. almost like a curse. My life has been a perpetual train wreck!
So that's that.. at least what I havent supressed anyway. There are multiple witnesses so it was no delusion. There's more I could add but it takes to long lol and harder to explain.
I wouldn't wish it on ANYONE!
But it's a hell of a chapter in my life (pun intended) so I suppose I wouldn't change it. NOTHING can scare me anymore which isnt very fun lol
Best of luck to you, the world, and anyone else struggling in life!!!
@@SuperColonel91 I should add that we lost the house due to unfortunate circumstances AND nobody who has bought it has lasted more than a few years. It's been a while, have been debating and wanting to go back and knock on the door.
I'll have to get back to you on that lol
I looked at your comments..
What to you is the "scariest" music video ever??
@@stonedphilosophy5326 IDK, Maybe Tool's "Prison Sex."
Was this house that you lived in in The United States?
interesting that both Aphex Twins best/most effective videos fully utilise Richards highly memeable face
Interesting point. The use of his face was kind of a meme before memes existed. It was originally a response to music critics frequently calling dance music 'faceless'.
Ed Onslow That’s fuckin amazing lol
stop making that big face :D
23 years. Still fresh as the day it was made.
i only ever heard this and Window Licker at the same as watching the clips so to me they were more like amazing horror short films. It made me realize that some talents can create more effective creepiness in a few minutes than some film makers can do in 2 hours.
Also check out rubber johhny
@@ninbendoyt3203 i just did and WOW gobsmacking weirdness! brilliant! thanks for the heads up!
@@jackfriend4u Glad you like Aphex twin and Chris Cunningham, also check out "All is full of love"

Прошло 20 лет, а восприятие всё так же прекрасно
I only learned of this because Christian Bale said he was inspired by this music video in Thor Love and Thunder where he was supposed to play Gorr the God Butcher, and then Marvel's execs/director Taika Waititi and everyone else told him that he cannot have this kind of intensity in the movie on-screen. What a shame.
Best scream in music ever
...and after 15 years Richard D. James discovered that youtube exists :-))
seems like he never used it unless he was being cryptic as fuck ruclips.net/video/TjmsO-udwAI/видео.html

Hands down creepier than any Marilyn Manson video.
creepier than behemoth disturbed and gorgorth
Dimmu Borgir?
I bet Marilyn Manson is scared of this fucking video
I like some of this bands similar video styles, try.. Skinny Puppy - Spasmolytic
@@razor1uk610 Thanks a lot...now I have to fight off the Cenobites
3:50 to 4:37 is the best part of the song in my opinion. I love the screaming and the song the way it sounds at that moment.
Grandma is having a bad day.
I recommend setting playback speed to 1.25 or 1.5 so it's not so slow paced.
WHY ARE YOU HERE ?
YOOO HELLO FATRAT

When I was a kid I spended most of my time watching MTV, singing and dancing to my favourites songs and music videos when ever they popped out, some times I even spended few hours just for waiting to my favorite videos to play. One evening while I was watching MTV this music video randomly popped out. I was not able to sleep that night and the next 2-3 nights after for how much i was freaked out from this music video, and every time I saw this music video start playing I changed the channel as quick as I can. Now I'm 28, and through this years, some times I had the memories of me as a kid watching this music video in terror, and everytime I had this memories, I asked my self what was this song's title with the desire to rewatch it 'cause I forgot the title and who the artist was of this song. Today this music video randomly appeared to my recommended videos. Finally I watched this video again after all this years with a completely different point of view, and I smiled and laughed remembering how I was so scared about this music video as a kid. Just this video and most of Marylin Manson's music videos was the reason why i had nightmares as a kid but some of them were my favourites like the music video of Promises by the Cranberries, even if the witch from the video freaked my out every time i watched it. Nowadays that's the kind of things that I really enjoy for the most. I really miss the original and unique style of the 90's music videos...
You arent the only one homie.

For years in my mind this video was for a song by TooL but when i found out it was rdj i loved it doubly
TooL videos are cool too. Stinkfist is my favorite
This single-handedly got me into metal and electronica in the '90s, thank you sir
the music matching the pole being dragged across the railings has fascinated me for about 10 years now. 3:34
beautiful song. love Richard.
Ok, yeah, the song is horrifying but can we just appreciate that drum track? Damn, that shit unironically goes hard
Of course it does. Apex Twin is the master of banging tunes
@اi LMFAO
@اi Tunes was probably one of those kids in the video for all we know.
I was just thinking this may be one track that might be impossible to beatbox.
It truly does
The ad I got served before this was for a mattress company, not the sort of music to fall asleep too 😂
