    Being a steam man ,
I joined INDIAN RAILWAYS, DURING 80'S AS A CHARGEMAN-FITTING SIDE
Now I am working in Diesi/ELECTRIC LOCO SHED
K.R.PURAM BANGSLORE DIVISION OF South Western RAILWAY
I felt very happy to see the black beauties still serving on the tracks,Thanks for uploading such a beautiful scenario ,
Steam locos are back bone of RAILWAYS.
I HAVE a good opinion that some or the other days
These black beauties will play on INDIAN RAILWAYS TRACK
I am getting superannuation this month August 2021.
Hope the present generations will see these Real heroes once again playing on INDIAN RAILWAYS TRACKS

Hi, I love reading about your days working for Indian Railways. I hope you are as happy in your retirement as you were working for the Railways. I had intended to join an Indian rail tour, including the Shimla line, but for now Covid it is likely to cause it to be cancelled, hopefully I can do it next year - www.railwaytouring.net/golden-triangle-with-shimla-3-21
The tour included steam on the main line and on the Shimla railway. Take care and stay safe. Tim.

Hi, the people at the Bluebell Railway do a first class job in recreating the past, the stations often appear in British crime and detective series on TV although the names are changed, the filming helps towards the cost of keeping the railway looking good. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Hi, this railway is in my home country, England. We are very fortunate to have a good number of excellent heritage railways, many of which I haven't visited for a while because I usually spend a lot of time travelling to places like New Zealand, Australia and all over Europe. Covid has stopped me from travelling and now Britain is opening up again as a result of a successful vaccination program I'm taking the opportunity to see local attractions such as the Bluebell Railway.

    • @Timsvideochannel1
      @Timsvideochannel1  3 года назад +1

Preserving the railway along with the locomotives and carriages is helped by an apprenticeship scheme aimed at passing the skills required to keep everything in working order on the the next generation so that the railway will continue running for many years to come. Museums are OK, but real working museums are to best way to see and experience the world our forefathers grew up in.

Hi Bob, we are used to rain here, although the exhibition fields were too wet for a lot of the non railway activities to take place, a nice sunny day would have increased the visitor numbers. The line finally closed in 1958, although the history of its closure is interesting, please click on this link for a brief history of the line - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluebell_Railway

Hi, I looked up Clive Groome - www.steamway.dircon.co.uk/Clive.html His face is familiar, I spoken to him on several occasions, he always looks happy, I often talk to people, but I'm terrible at remembering names. I'm just packing ready to go to Devon with my wife for 9 days, I've book a B&B with balcony overlooking the railway at Dawlish, whilst I'm in the area I hope to visit the South Devon Railway and the West Somerset Railway, if the weather is nice one day it would be nice to do a Round Robin Trip - Totnes to Paignton in a vintage open top bus, steam train to Kingswear for the ferry to Dartmouth followed by a river boat back to Totnes, when the weather is good, it's nice way to spend a day. My other half likes to visit the pretty villages and walk the coastal paths, it's her holiday as much as mine, besides, who doesn't love a genuine cream tea in a picturesque village cafe?

@@Timsvideochannel1 As far as I am concerned, the western half of the U S is by far the most beautiful. Pretty much everything west of Kansas (which Americans pronounce incorrectly btw) is breathtaking, because every state has big mountains, forests, rivers and lakes. The down side is the lack of scenic trains. That being said, all of our National Parks have great shuttle bus systems in place. I only have been on the GCR, and it was really nice. Always nice chatting. Take care, as well.

@@joydivisionisnotdead67 Thanks for the advice, big mountains guarantee hard working trains, I'll be looking to book something, maybe as soon as next year so long as there are no new restrictions on travelling.
