He just knew that their romance story can't be true because he will die soon but Mikasa doesn't. So that he chose to demonizing himself & do such suicidal plan to save Mikasa and his people so that Mikasa can live a happy life. So that, the reason why Eren told Mikasa that he hated her wasn't because he believe Ackerman's headache (which I said that he doesn't believe it), but because he didn't want Mikasa help him in his suicial mission and being killed with him, he wanted Mikasa to stay alive even after he died in his final mission. That's it.
