I have so many recipes for meatloaf.. But this one was different.. I never thought about using stuffing mix.. I did one thing different though, I used a half a cup of milk and soaked the stuffing then when it was soft I mixed the rest of the ingredients in. The moistest Meatloaf EVER! It was Amazing!! It went so quick and had a lot of compliments!! And yes I gave You the credit!! Thank you!! This will be a regular menu in my home!! I greatly appreciate it!!
I love meatloaf. I’m 35, I was raised on it. I’ve tried every “fancy” meatloaf recipe under the sun. I found this recipe 3 years ago. I still use this recipe at least 1x a month. Everyone has asked me for the recipe and I share this video. This meatloaf has now become a staple in my entire extended family as well. 🥩❤️
OK... I tried this a couple of weeks ago and my husband is already asking me to make it again. He says that your recipe is the best he’s ever had 🙂Thank you so much for sharing. Your recipes have made my family very happy.
I made this meatloaf a second time. This time I wetted the boxed pork stuffing mix with beef broth and it made it really really moist. It's the best meatloaf I have ever made. Thanks again
I've been useing box stuffing mix called Stove Top Stuffing for over 30 years now and it works great. Its loaded with a lot of herbs and spices. Really adds to meatloaf flavor.
Me too… like forever! Makes the best meatloaf… just make the stuffing and add it to the ground beef… I’d never ad it dry, I make it with stuffing already made and mix in.

Only thing different I would make is that I would saute the onions first, then add them. It looks sooo TASTY & DEEE-LICIOUS!! Fingers crossed it comes out as YUMMY as yours. I use the chicken stove top and instead of using the ketchup/bbq sauce mixture, I use 1 can of sloppy Joe sauce. For the glaze on top I use chili sauce (spicy ketchup in the condiments isle beside the regular ketchup) Use egg beaters for the eggs, and you are ready to throw it in the oven! 😋
I made a meatloaf tonight for my family & used 1 lb. taco flavored Turkey sausage, I lb. 93% beef, added one chopped up yellow bell pepper, 1/2 onion, & some left over stovetop dressing already cooked & in the freezer. I thawed it before adding to meat. No additional eggs because eggs & veggies already in dressing. I had a package of 4 medium sized mozzarella balls in liquid & I chopped them into about 6 pieces each. Pressed half the meat mixture into loaf pan, pressed in the cheese pieces & topped with other half of meat mixture. I mixed ketchup & honey mustard & a dash of cayenne & dash of Worcestershire for topping after it had cooked 30 minutes. All these items I had already & decided to try it. OMG, it was the best tasting & held together meatloaf I’ve ever made according to my family! Severed with mashed potatoes & sautéed seasoned zucchini.
Ok so that was a hit, even with someone I thought would not like it. The great things about this recipe are that the seasoning from the stuffing really simplifies the recipe and the ketchup bbq sauce mixture adds great flavor. I also prefer this shape now vs the loaf style. Crisps up really even and nice. Thank you for the great video! Will make again :-)
I've made this once before, however instead of onion I used a packet of Onion Soup Mix. It is absolutely the best I've ever made. Making it again this weekend per hubby's request.

The meatloaf's been in the oven for about a half hour, and boy is it starting to smell good! If smell dictates taste, I'm in heaven already! Very versatile recipe, as well. Thank you!
Homerun!!! I made this for supper tonight and it is easily the best meatloaf I've ever had in my life. ...and so quick and easy to prepare. This recipe is going into my permanent collection. Many thanks for this gem!
I've been using stove top for years and always get compliments. Stumbled onto it when I was out of not only bread crumbs, but bread too. I like to through a squirt of yellow mustard into the glaze.
I made a meatloaf right after I got married from a cookbook we received for a wedding gift! I was so proud of this, asked my new husband what did he think, of my special meatloaf, and his answer was to get my money back for the cookbook. It was terrible. I never tried another meatloaf until I came across your recipe!! It was fantastic. My boys, who are now grown with their boys, ate every bit and asked for more. Now that's a fantastic recipe. If my family asks me for more of anything, I cook. I will forever make this wonderful recipe. Thank you, Roberta
After getting food poisoning from meatloaf that wasn’t refrigerated properly, I was turned off of meatloaf for years! My husband is not fond of it either, but this recipe sounds really good! It’s been a long enough time now that I feel I could eat meatloaf again. I’m going to surprise my husband with it. I will let you know how it all goes later on!
Here’s what happened tonight. I made this meatloaf, but since I only had 1 egg, I added 3-1/2 T. of milk as replacement for the other egg. I mixed this up as directed but I put half of the mixture down in the baking dish, put a mound of shredded cheese on it and then put the other half of the mixture on top. Carefully sealed the outer edges so the cheese wouldn’t ooze out. Then baked as directed. It smelled delicious. So, I fed my husband and my picky 5 year old this meatloaf recipe and they both LOVED it!! My husband said it was “really flavorful” and he’d “like to have that again”. My 5 year old said, “Mmmmm! This is good!” There was enough left over for my husband to take to work with him tomorrow. He said he’s looking forward to his lunch tomorrow! 😊Thank you for this recipe! I was pleasantly surprised and so was my husband! I will definitely be making this again. 😍
Hokey smoke! It IS perhaps the best meatloaf I've ever eaten, and that includes my own signature meatloaf stuffed with homemade creamed spinach! I used cornbread stuffing mix (store brand), garlic salt (instead of garlic powder and salt, as I was out of garlic powder, darn it!), half a green bell pepper, and I added some Old Bay Seasoning. Your recipe is delicious and stoopid easy. Thank you!
I've got to tell you, my grandson and I were never big on meatloaf but I made this about 3 weeks ago because hubby likes meatloaf and it was so good! He and my grandson said they couldn't stop eating it. My whole family loved it! I did what someone else here said and moistened the stuffing first then mixed it in but I used chicken stock. I also added finely chopped sauteed onions and bell pepper. Your meatloaf recipe is delicious! Thank you so much!
That looks delicious 🤤 I can’t wait to make it for my family. I never thought to use stovetop stuffing, or barbecue sauce with ketchup. I usually use diced carrots and celery along with the diced onions. ❤Thank you for sharing.😊
I tried this and it was very good. I added one pouch of Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix instead of the chopped onion and used Sweet Baby Ray's barbeque sause because that's my favorite. This is the same way I make mine except for the stuffing. I always use Lipton Onion Soup Mix but now I will always add the stuffing. .
For anyone on the fence about making this simple meatloaf, do it, do it now! This is the easiest recipe, and it tastes AMAZING! This will go into my regular dinner rotation. Thank you for the recipe!
Aww you have such a beautiful accent. Thank you for your recipe. I looked all over the internet for a quick and easy tasty meatloaf and your recipe is the best!! Of course i had to work with and around it bc i didnt have a couple of ingredients. I didnt have an egg so I added a tablespoon of mayo. Didnt have an onion so I added dried minced onion (i need to go to the grocery store lol) I also lined the bottom and top with bacon...threw it in the oven and wala.. . Mmm, came out great!!
I came across this video yesterday and tried it. One of my husbands favorite meals has always been meatloaf. He agreed that it was the best. 3 adults ate supper along with other vegetables.....no leftovers with this meatloaf. Thanks for sharing.
Meatloaf is one of my favorite dishes to make. I use ketchup and a little bit of brown sugar (to taste)for my glaze it is really good. I will definitely try your recipe because it looks yummy. Thanks for this idea
I have tried NUMEROUS meatloaf recipes and this is BY FAR the BEST meatloaf I have EVER had.! Thank you for sharing this recipe. The seasonings in the stuffing mix provide a perfect flavor. Very, Very impressive! I have finally found the perfect meatloaf recipe in my opinion. Thanks again!!
All sounds great. Going to try it. Small change.. Less stuff mix. Scant( Little less) catchup & bb sauce in loaf. 1 quarter cup catchup & bb sauce as glaze. NO SALT, no garlic powder. Plenty salt & seasoning in stuffing mix. Sounds delicious. Thank you fir sharing.
I just heard about using stuffing mix in meatloaf from Thrifty Tiffany. I'm going to try this as soon as I go grocery shopping. Looking forward to more recipes.
Wow, I just made a meatloaf following your recipe. I have to say it is the best meatloaf I have ever tasted. Thank you so much. It was a big hit and my family loved it.
I started making my meatloaf with Box stuffing 3-5 years ago. Stove Top Herbal stuffing mix makes a great moist meatloaf. The chicken or turkey one works fantastic. The different bread crumbs is good to make a delicious moist meatloaf 💪👍💯😋😋
Funny you responded today. I am making the meat loaf again because he bragged to his buddies about it and they are coming over to play a game tonight. He asked me to make it for them. Thanks so much for the recipe!
Had to laugh when you said look how pretty that meatloaf looks! LOL- I swear I do that. This recipe looks delicious. I'm of German decent and was taught to add a tablespoon or two of milk to the meat mixture. I'm a senior citizen on a budget that lives alone and this would last for a while. Sandwiches and also would freeze well.
I made this meatloaf and OMG! It’s a home run. The texture, the flavor and the ease. It’s definitely going in my quick meal line up. Thanks for sharing. Even single guys can make this. Easy peasy.
Good way that I avoid over mixing is, I mix all of my ingredients without the meat together first and then combine it with the hamburger/ground pork. I use 1 lb beef, 1 lb pork, course grind if I can get the butcher to fresh grind it for me.
Tina, I did the same, mix everything BEFORE I add the meat. I'll keep in mind the idea of having the butcher grind the meat. What's the advantage of the 'coarse grind?
Your husband is correct. It is a very tasty meatloaf. It is simple and does not require some of this or that and for a single senior that is as good as it gets.
I LOVE this recipe and my wife reacted like your husband did. She always compliments my cooking, but she actually did say, "This is the best meatloaf I've ever had!". I love it because besides being delicious it is MEGA simple, fast, and EASY to put together. One tip I will share with everyone is if you've ever seen those loaf pans with the lift-out insert and wondered about them, get one!! I LOVE mine and after you let your meatloaf rest you can just lift the whole thing out and transfer it to a plate for slicing. I like that as a side benefit the leftovers are the perfect shape for meatloaf sandwiches MMMmmm,. I'm making this again tonight!
Tried this stuffing mix in meatloaf today, I used some milk to soak the stuffing mix & cut down ketchup & bbq sauce by half. Still came out nice & moist, the spices in the stuffing mix really added a different flavor that we all enjoyed. Served it with leftover beef rice today & made a huge meatloaf, gonna try it with stuffed back potatoes & I am sure we will have meatloaf sandwiches. Good recipe for a change of pace & I might use the recipe to make meatballs served over white rice with beef gravy.
absolutely genius with the stovetop, never would have thought of it glad i saw your video, I am looking forward to my new meatloaf recipe, keep on cooking, and im subscribing
Tastes fantastic with Turkey seasoning Stovetop as well... that's the way I make my meatloaf as well. :) and if you don't have any BBQ sauce, for some reason, you can substitute Ketchup, Brown Sugar, and half a teaspoon of Mustard.
My Mom used to use Stovetop stuffing in her meatloaf. She had seen a recipe for it in some ladies magazine, only it said to soak the stovetop stuffing in milk for 20 min before adding to meat. My family liked it so much, we started to make our meatballs that way, too. Itvsoaks up the juices from the meat and keeps it moist.
I would have never thought about adding stuffing mix to meatloaf. I bet it is good with all that seasoning in it. Something I'm going to definitely have to try. 😊😊😊 Thank you for sharing your recipe 😊
Wow! I thought i was the only one in the world that used a box of chicken stuffing in my meatloaf!! I used it because I didnt have any type of breadcrumbs! Ended up loving it, used it ever since!
@@moseskongi4746 dry, I use the whole box and add it to about 2 lbs hamburger meat, onions , green peppers, and one egg! Along with ketchup, a little mustard and A-1 steak sauce. Try it for sure!
Trying this for the first time today, and cooking won't finish for another 15 minutes! My house smells delicious!! Can't wait to taste it, as I have never been truly successful with meat loaf. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this video I thought I was the only one that did this, and everybody thought me crazy !! ... I've been using stovetop for meatloaf for years. I use pork and beef mix for the meat. It's cheaper, and your loaf won't fall apart when you slice it. Sometimes for a change, I'll mix in ground chicken, and use shake and bake to season it !!! Chicken and rib bbq sauce with a touch of cayenne or sriracha sauce for a little hint of heat is amazing too !!!
I'm so glad I happened across your channel and this recipe. A two-pound meatloaf is a bit much for me because I live alone so, I'm going to do meatballs instead so I can freeze half of them to be cooked up another day.
Been doing this for awhile. I do not know where I learned this trick. Also use pork sausage and cornbread stuffing mix to make sausage type loaf. Just use a mustard based BBQ sauce instead of a tomato based BBQ sauce in the sausage loaf. Good old stove top stuffing when I have to cook on short notice. You are correct it is easy and so GOOD. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks! I will try this instead of the lipton onion soup mix and bread crumbs that I use. Good ideal about the rollong pin to crush the stuffing mix to a power.
Maa’am, I don’t know who you are , but I know these two things: a) you’re definitely from somewhere South of the Mason-Dixon Line, and, b) you gave the world probably the BEST meatloaf recipe known to humankind, putting all others in the dust. The meatloaf's been in the oven for about a half hour, and boy is it starting to smell good! If smell dictates taste, I'm in heaven already! Very versatile recipe, as well. Thank you!
It's so good. I made it dinner for dinner tonight and I was staring at my stove and drooling around the 30 minute mark, lol.
I just made this and it is in the oven. I love the idea of the stuffing mix because I don't always have breadcrumbs.
Homerun!!! I made this for supper tonight and it is easily the best meatloaf I've ever had in my life. ...and so quick and easy to prepare. This recipe is going into my permanent collection. Many thanks for this gem!
Glad you liked it.
I'm a Brit and I thought I would give this a go. My goodness it is so flavoursome. Thank you for the recipe.
You're welcome!
Your accent is sweeter than this meatloaf. thank you my sister from the land down under. JAMAICA WEST INDIES.
Made this last night, exactly as demonstrated on the video. Simple and QUICK to make. Husband loved it -- I loved it. Thanks for posting your recipe.
I'm so glad y'all liked it!!
I've been using stove top for years and always get compliments. Stumbled onto it when I was out of not only bread crumbs, but bread too. I like to through a squirt of yellow mustard into the glaze.
I may try the mustard next time. thanks!
I use the mustard also👍
Me too!
Thank you,
Roberta
Zephirin Drouhin Wow...that sounds good. I like the way you think!!
Joyce Hackett how did you like it with the cheese in the middle? Gooood, isn’t it! 😛
We like stuffed peppers. This would make a good stuffing for peppers. I may try this next time.
I've been doing this for the last twenty years. and I love it. the stuffing mix has all the seasonings you need.
Yes it is.
So happy I saw this…… don’t eat a lot of beef but adding some grand beef to my grocery list 😊. Thank you
Hokey smoke! Thank you!
Cool, glad you liked it. Yours sounds great also.
Glad you all liked it. Thank you for trying it and letting me know that yall liked it.
That looks delicious 🤤 I can’t wait to make it for my family. I never thought to use stovetop stuffing, or barbecue sauce with ketchup. I usually use diced carrots and celery along with the diced onions. ❤Thank you for sharing.😊
Wow, bravo. I have never seen anyone move the meatloaf from the edges so that the glaze can get on the sides! Thanks for the demonstration!
I tried this and it was very good. I added one pouch of Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix instead of the chopped onion and used Sweet Baby Ray's barbeque sause because that's my favorite. This is the same way I make mine except for the stuffing. I always use Lipton Onion Soup Mix but now I will always add the stuffing.
.
Yum, that sounds good.
I have to use Sweet Baby Ray's too, it's the best!

We have been using stuffing mix in our meatloaf for over 30 years! The best ever!
A quick tip, before glazing put the meatloaf under the broiler for about 3 minutes, to dry it off, then glaze.
Glad i read your reply b4 i did it. 😀
For anyone on the fence about making this simple meatloaf, do it, do it now! This is the easiest recipe, and it tastes AMAZING! This will go into my regular dinner rotation. Thank you for the recipe!
Thank you! Glad you liked it.

Glad you like it!
Thank you Tim, I'm glad you liked it!
Simple without to many ingredients is great! !I add a lil garlic cloves to it.stuffing hell yeah great idea!
The chef sounds like a good soul. Keep making cooking videos. You are a natural.
Thank you
I made this for supper tonight... It's delicious! Thanks for posting! 💞💞
STILL HERE IN 2021 QUEEN. YES, this is the one!
More onions and more garlic for my family! That’s the beauty of meatloaf. As you like it! Like the stuffing idea.
I just fed this to my husband for the first time. He says don't forget this recipe. He loved it! I did too. Thank you so much!
Cool, I'm glad he liked it!
Thanks for the tip!
I'm gonna try this stuffing in my meatloaf I'm cooking tomorrow. looks delicious. thank you for sharing this video 😊
I always end up with lots of boxes of stuffing after the holidays. I need some recipes to use it up. This will be great!
Cool, Hope you like it!
Meatloaf
Tried this stuffing mix in meatloaf today, I used some milk to soak the stuffing mix & cut down ketchup & bbq sauce by half. Still came out nice & moist, the spices in the stuffing mix really added a different flavor that we all enjoyed. Served it with leftover beef rice today & made a huge meatloaf, gonna try it with stuffed back potatoes & I am sure we will have meatloaf sandwiches. Good recipe for a change of pace & I might use the recipe to make meatballs served over white rice with beef gravy.
The meatballs served over rice with the gravy sounds good! Yum
My family enjoyed this so much, I’m back 2 weeks later and I’m going to make this again!
Cool!!!! Glad yall liked it.
Thrifttastticmom We really did, thank you so much for this yummy, quick recipe! It’s in the oven and my mouth is watering, it smells so good! 😋
My mother-in-law’s meatloaf glaze was just the best! Made with Heinz chili sauce, brown sugar and dry mustard powder. Sweet with just enough heat!
That does sound good
absolutely genius with the stovetop, never would have thought of it glad i saw your video, I am looking forward to my new meatloaf recipe, keep on cooking, and im subscribing
💯💯💯💯💯 you have done it again.
I truly enjoy following your recipes 😊
Thank you so much💕💕
Tastes fantastic with Turkey seasoning Stovetop as well... that's the way I make my meatloaf as well. :) and if you don't have any BBQ sauce, for some reason, you can substitute Ketchup, Brown Sugar, and half a teaspoon of Mustard.
I like that recipe for meatloaf…cannot wait to try it. Thanks for sharing IN NYC
Going to try this.
Just toss it in the meat mixture dry or soak in milk first?
@@moseskongi4746 dry, I use the whole box and add it to about 2 lbs hamburger meat, onions , green peppers, and one egg! Along with ketchup, a little mustard and A-1 steak sauce. Try it for sure!
@@lyndilee2955 Sounds good. I have been able to learn how to cook from youtubers like you so thank you.
@@moseskongi4746
You're welcome! The moisture from the meat soaks into the stuffing , that's why I just add it dry! Forgot to mention that!
Trying this for the first time today, and cooking won't finish for another 15 minutes! My house smells delicious!! Can't wait to taste it, as I have never been truly successful with meat loaf. Thanks for sharing!
Getting ready to make meatloaf for my hubby for the first time, watching a bunch of videos to prepare myself.
I tried this recipe and I have 1 word Scrumptious!!!
A MUST try recipe...It was DE LI CIOUS👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you!
My mom always used Pepperidge Farm. I've always used A1, but I'll try the ketchup & barbeque. Thanks for the video!💜
Toss the stovetop stuffing into the meat mixture dry or soak it in milk first ?
Run a fork over the top, and make lots of ridges, work the sauce into the meat, the ridges add surface area and make a nice crust.
I'm so glad I happened across your channel and this recipe. A two-pound meatloaf is a bit much for me because I live alone so, I'm going to do meatballs instead so I can freeze half of them to be cooked up another day.
My mouth watered when you showed it. I love meatloaf!! I'm can't wait to make it .
Reading all the positive comments made me Crave some of your meatloaf recipe cant wait to make it. Thanks so much.
Very good meatloaf, we love meatloaf at our house and this is our new favorite! Thanks much
Been doing this for awhile.
That mustard base sounds good. I may have to try that sometime.
@@Thrifttastticmom1 Also with any meat I use some "W" sauce more or less to taste. Just saying.
that's what I like - quick n easy and I'm sure Delicious.
Thanks! I will try this instead of the lipton onion soup mix and bread crumbs that I use. Good ideal about the rollong pin to crush the stuffing mix to a power.
This sounds really Good! Awesome idea with stovetop dressing! 💜
I made meatloaf in the standard recipe form but never tried the stuffing mix. Will give it a try , looks easier than the recipe I currently use.
I made this meatloaf tonight and oh my God!! So tasty!!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

Maa’am, I don’t know who you are , but I know these two things:
a) you’re definitely from somewhere
South of the Mason-Dixon Line, and,
b) you gave the world probably the
BEST meatloaf recipe known to
humankind, putting all others
in the dust. I’ the cook in our house,
my wife cleans, and she thinks it’s the
tastiest meat loaf I’ve ever made!
Many “ thank you’d” are in order!
