MGS3 - The Sorrow after killing everyone I could manage
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 28 апр 2022
- I went into every area I could and killed all of the enemies along with the reinforcements that come in during alert phase until I spent all of them. Also this kinda served as a test for how well PCSX2 can run the game along with how good it looks. Struggles on some screen effects but man does it look good now.
Some final playthough stats:
Extreme difficulty
Play time: 30:29:11 (I spent a long time healing up with an uncapped FPS to keep fighting enemies lol)
227 Alerts
750 People Killed
171 Serious injuries
37 health bars of damage
56 Life Meds used
26 types of plants and animals captured
77 Meals eaten
I also killed the End early so that I had more enemies to kill total. The whole idea was essentially to kill everyone that I see, and as many as I can get.
This was a really funny playthrough on the whole and it took a lot of creativity and a lot of the game knowledge I've acquired through the years of playing this game sporadically. - Игры

If you kill enemies in a variety of ways you get a variety of different dialogues from them. Especially funny if you get one by shooting them in the foot repeatedly until it finally stopped moving, another great one is blasting both kneecaps, another great one is blasting hands shoulders headshot.... Poisoned by food, death by snake as in an actual snake, death by alligator, etc.
Lmao yeah. I was just going for sheer volume, and sheer volume I did get with a whopping 750 kills at the end of my playthrough lol

It was as awkward as it sounds. So I put in shift on my keyboard so I could basically hit it with my pinky while I was grabbing someone
You know, the bottom of the well never actually creeped me out though. I think part of it was that I was just really aware that games were just games from a pretty young age because I learned how to go out of bounds in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the PC version, when I was like 5 or 6 lmao. Like, I legit went into every map, went into alert, killed all the reinforcements, kept retriggering alert phase using one last radio guy that could call for reinforcements and then killed them once the reinforcements couldn't show up lol. I can imagine him going "Not yet Snake! It's not over yet!" before killing himself
interesting the total killcount was a precise 750, could it have been inflated by re-entering areas?
The game keeps pretty good track of how many enemies there should be left in an area, I made sure to exhaust both normal and reinforcement troops and I'd eventually run out no matter what per area and no more would spawn at all. I would get into a alert multiple times per map to do it, which is needed in Groznyj Grad because not all reinforcements will spawn in one encounter
That said, 750 was mostly just luck, because I missed a good amount of troops during the shagohod sequences on the bike, so it's definitely not 100% of the people for the whole game but very very close from before that point

Just how like dog trainers don't necessarily tell their dogs to jump over an obstacle or go inside a pipe. In the first place if the dog's owner/partner only "told" them to "track" instead of attacking the target, then it make sense they would stop at that. Much like a hunter's dog stopping and pointing at a burrow where the prey hid instead of trying to dig it out. Or how a dog can be trained to, on command, only ever walk right by it's owner. Finally you can see the same kind of things even in wild dogs, were they'll chase a prey, but will stop a safe distance away if they corner their prey. Because a cornered prey is more dangerous.

Does anybody know if the round that jammed in Ocelot's Makarov is the same blank that Snake/Ocelot shoots during their revolver duel? If that is the case, then Ocelot was told not to kill Snake from the very beginning of the Virtuous Mission. -mgs3
All mgs reward you for stealth instead of killing.
The game still punishes you for killing a lot of people. In every mgs game besides I believe peace walker and V, the player is scored for how they performed while doing a play through (I.e. how long it took you to beat the game, how many times you were caught while sneaking, etc.) but the game specifically brings down your score with each person you kill.
@@arrogantlobster3270 Its kinda dumb in MGSV though. LIke.....dont give me all these cool, LETHAL weapons and then punish me for using them.
This is literally “I saw them existing in my vicinity and I took it personally. Even the vulture.”
The Sorrow dream - Is representing vision of karma. The more you kill, the hardest will be walkthrough. You could say, killing any soldiers is the easiest & fun part. But this is no laughing matter. And sparing all the soldiers are the hardest part, but will be paid off in this one. This is also proves that the more you killed, the animalistic you becomes. Usually, you would be the most lowest, than those soldiers you've killed.
All soldiers that represents here, are just followed orders. But at the same time, they knew on what they were signed on.
Kinda interesting, the more you kill, the aggressive & deadly ghosts becomes. The patterns of bosses for example, changes too.
Kojima always tries to make those peace parts to be most rewarding. Those who tries to defy it, usually gets the hardest challenge as well. To me, this is simply putting most to a challenge, where you put your skill on surviving in dream. I wonder, how many times it took to complete it?

That's amazing my sorrow battle on the psvita only lasted like 3 minutes because I did a max stealth gameplay with as little kills as I could manage
Fun fact: You can skip this entire sequence by taking the cyanide pill as soon as you have control and then reviving yourself. I can imagine the interaction going down something like this:
The Sorrow: "Sad... So sa-"
Snake: "Nope" *cyanides and revives*
The Sorrow, during his loss for words at what transpired, becomes *The Confused*
All the soldiers you killed standing in that cramped river: "... Now what?"

Dude single handedly wiped out the fish population with how many are dead
At the start it looks eerie, then when that guy screams "My neck !" that fish from Spongebob comes into mind
Nice video. I have never been able to make PCSX2 work, it is always slow, what kind of machine do you have?
Damn, you killed everyone?! That is straight savagery! 😅
What got me is when The Sorrow says "You will be killed by your own sons."
All the throat cut kills adds to their zombie vibes nicely done
and to think that the sorrow is ocelot's father....
The vultures caught the smoke too i see lmfao
Isn’t there a corpse at the end of the river where you touch instead of Sorrow?
Thank you. I was curious about this and Google was entirely unhelpful.
This was me on my first playthrough. I had to look up a guide cause the walk was so long and I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong.
can't help but wonder. What if the game also read your mgs2 save files to include the Gurlokovitch men you killed.
Half way down the dive snake is just like “man i thought this jump was way shorter than it is”
The definition of a mad man.
now thats going for the high score!
Ah classic big boss, a war crime here and a war crime there
Definitely one of the most unique boss battles in video game history.
The Sorrow is still bothering us in Death Stranding, too.
You ate me
Nice to see the inspiration for Death Stranding
"like you i too am filled with sadness."
*wears a psychotic grin through his entire scene*
New games are never this interesting
True, but this is also one of the best games ever made
I had no idea there was going to be a boss like this, so on my first playthrough I killed 80-90% of the enemies. This stage lasted way, way too long but I still got the camo at the end.
