Of course, you can do as you want with this money Chris. But, I would love for you to go visit Peng again and present him with the money so he can get home and see his family. I just wish I could give more. I may not be able to help every driver in Bangkok, but one is enough for now. Perhaps others will open up their wallets and do as I have. If so, maybe Peng can fulfill that dream of going to work at his cattle ranch and be forever with his grandchildren.

What an interesting video. I really enjoyed it. I have only ever had good experiences with taxi drivers.
One time while vacationing in Thailand I went for a very long walk in the heat and I was not used to it. At the end of my walk I jumped on my motorbike to drive home. I didn't get very far when the heat of wearing the full faced helmet made me feel very weak and I almost passed out while driving. I was barely able to stop. I got off my bike and sat on the side walk. A motorbike taxi driver from across the street saw me struggling and he yelled at me and asked me was I okay. I said NO. He ran to me and said what do you need? I said I need cold water. He ran into 7-11 which was right next to us and came out with a 1L bottle of water and an ice cold cloth. He put the cloth on my neck and helped me get a few sips of water and poured some water on me.
He helped me at a time when I was in extreme need. I never forget that man that day and how much he helped me, I was ready to pass out. Thank God he was there.

Chris, another masterpiece. Your ‘day-in-the-life’ documentaries are like nothing else I’ve seen on RUclips. Simple and to the point but great production value. You demystified the craziness and humanized the industry in your portrayal of Peng. Such a dangerous life for so little money. I can’t imagine those who would haggle a lower fare. I can’t imagine how many of those 90k drivers are seriously injured or killed every year. You can see in Peng’s eyes and hear in his voice his love of his grandchildren. I hope and pray he realizes his dream one day.

Great video and filmed very well. I've been here in Bangkok for a couple of weeks now and how locals live always intrigues me. It's great to see an insight into ordinary day to day life of hard working people. you should definitely continue making this type of content. So often people who provide crucial services especially in lower socioeconomic groups get overlooked or looked down upon when ultimately they are a vital cog in keeping economies thriving.

I ride side saddle every time. Partly it's because of the exhaust but it's more about modesty. Ladies in short and/or tight skirts can't ride astride. Kids do but not grown ladies. And I often forget on the rare times I'm wearing pants so I just end up side saddle anyway.
Thank you for these kinds of videos. I love them! It's also an easy way to help explain to my family something that's hard to put into words 😅

Noticing the everyday simple things and simple pleasures. But listening to you describe your life and joy being in Thailand is like listening to myself lol.... and your work with the scholarships in the North is On-Point. I've been supporting orphanages in Thailand for 8 years since the country affected me in a great way with my first visit. I visit them annually. Again, i thought it was just me paying it forward. I'll be back in BKK for my first Songkran this April. So excited. Take care sir!

First of all, I am much appreciated about this video. Thank you for sharing the day in the life of a motorbike taxi driver. In my recent trip to Bangkok, I decided to be 'brave ' and to give motorbike riding a try. One of the rides I have taken during the craziest traffic: about 12:30 pm on a Saturday. It was a hair-raising experience for me because we were on Sukkhumvit going to Terminal 21! But I am (gradually) getting used to this mode of transportation now. I will continue to support and to rely on this group drivers for many of my short trips.
Thanks again for raising the awareness. I now have my reason why I choose motorbike taxi drivers to get me to places.
