- My dad and I did our annual fishing trip to the boundary waters canoe area wilderness. We had a great time and we’re able to catch and eat fish. Cierra, Skeeter and I head back in to a different entry point tomorrow for a week. When we get back we will plant our vegetables at our off grid cabin. #camping #outdoors #offgrid
So nice to be able to spend such wonderful trips with your dad. You both caught some really nice fish.

I was hoping that you guys would be fishing for lake trout this time of year, since they're still on the surface.
My mom passed away this last August '21, and my dad is selling the house. I've gotten all the canoe gear, like Duluth packs etc and it's all at my home now. He's selling his two canoes too, and I have my own Wenonah Canoe. My dad is 80, so still young enough for maybe a day trip into the BWCA. I'll be 56 in just over a week, May 30. I'll get in as many trips in as I can before I get too old too... 🛶🛶🛶🛶🛶🛶🐟🦟🦟🦟🦟🐝🪰

Great vlog Kyle 👍, can I ask, why is the walleye the preferred catch? Obviously it tastes delicious,but some of the other fish you and your dad catch are double in size,is there a reason for putting them back, ie,law,protected or just plain don't taste nice,haha. Apologies, not a fisherman, but really enjoyed learning the names and the catching/cooking process you vlog. 👍 👍.
Walleye is great eating easy to clean, I don't like northern although I have ate them the one northern he caught looked a little small and they have lots of bones, small mouths bass are good eating but not great and the sucker there terrible they will turn to mush no flavor so I get excited over a walleye too! But it is fun just catching fish also...

Being from S.E. Louisiana, seeing you use "Louisiana" fish fry made me smile. If you get the chance though, I highly recommend "Zatarain's" fish fry, crab boil or anything else you can find made by them. Another great video.

Love Walleye, when we had the big farm a creek ran thru the property ( which ran into Chautauqua Lake in NY) and we use to catch walleye. My grandparents owned a camp in Alexandria Bay NY and I used to fish for northern pike yum. I also like catfish and trout and yes I did almost all the fishing and cleaning. I miss those days. Nothing like spending time with Dad. Blessings to you both. 😊🇺🇲

Can't believe it's already 10 years since the last time I was up to BWCA. Cripes does time fly. Not sure if there are other Moose Lake entry points, but I *think* that's where we put in last time we went as well. We paddled up to Lac la Croix. Bit of a haul, but it was a great trip. They had those shuttles there as well. Wasn't super frequent, but still pretty annoying.
That looked like so much fun, but now I want some pancakes and coffee! I finally bought an ecoflow max, so far I love it. ❤ from Tennessee!!!

Very NICE :) My daddy used to fish a lot. He caught a Big mouth Bass in waist deep water on a church member's pond. Daddy was a preacher :)

Enjoy your time with your Dad while you have him. My Dad passed away in 2017 and I miss him so much. I have had many great experiences in my time on this earth and my dad was amazed at how I was able to catch so many trout on a fly rod, now I can barely walk because of my diabetes and I feel like an invalid.
