Great video guys, thanks heaps for the detailed explanations.
I haven't played with the app to much but started to go through it in time with the video. One thing I quickly realised though was that the connection won't go all the way from the study to the E1 in the butler's pantry. First world issue I know.
One thing I did notice in the power management section was the lack of ability to copy the settings from one day to the next or even for weekdays. It would be much quicker than having to set up each day individually. Being able to have multiple on/off times for each day is an awesome feature and I will play with that some more now that I'm on holidays.
I also still wish that the app would remember the connection to the E1 instead of having to select it each time. If my phone can automatically connect to my car then it should also be able to connect to the E1 without having to select it each time.

At this price, and the fact that it has intelligent app functionality, why is it missing pressure and flow profiling? Maybe a firmware and app update? This would have made it a no-brainer over the Decent espresso machines.
Hi, great deep dive. From what I can see, the published recipes do not specify the brew pressure (which I assume is as an important a variable along with the temperature etc). Can I ask please - for the hot water: is up and down different temperatures or the same temperature (with a different flow time); also what is the pressure of the pre-wetting. Thanks.

My E1 Prima is on its way… Just wondering is it possible to sync a Lunar scale (or a different one) so the scale can tare automatically when I start the brew?

Yes, the Acaia Luna does have an auto-tare function.
We were using it and just had the scale on manual. You could actually auto-tare (when cup is placed) and auto-time (not synced to machine but rather starts when weight changes, as in first coffee drop)

I can see using the app you can set it on and off. But can you switch it on and off remotely. Say for example, I wake up one morning but my machine is not on. Could I switch it on before I go to the kitchen. Hope you understand what I mean.
So far, no. I'm trying to work it out too. The app is pretty basic/useless. I had an error message come up on the machine and I was hoping that the app would give me some information and troubleshooting advice..no..nothing..
