I love Espionage ideas now. It really went from zero to hero a few patches back. It's insane how good it is, as long as you use it right (spy on your enemies as much as you can, get area claims on anything you will take, etc.).
Some top tier tag cheese. Well played. FYI, even if AI France and Austria are "friendly", they will almost never ally because of the -1000 historical rival malus. I've formed France as Nevers, only to have Austria dump me as an ally because of this malus alone.
This is a minus when you have been playing a given game for years :P It used to not have such a modifier and somehow it stuck in my memory :D But yeah, you're right here.
Quick tip to anyone trying this: make sure to disband the empire before the inheritance! If you don’t France will get an event to release all of your land in the Netherlands as independent princes in the empire. Since France is they will probably say yes and you get no say in the matter.
If I remember how the mechanics work correctly, you can only request the return of a province to your vassal, not yourself. If not, then I'm an idiot :D
@@lookasetbella I believe it is you and your subject nations that can return core province for favors. In addition, at 27:25 in the video, you can see that you still have a core on the province of Labourd, which must have been inherited from France, as none of the other nations you formed would have gotten a core on it.
What's the picture on the thumbnail? I was curious, and it doesn't seem to be Duchess of Burgundy, I googled it and it didn't come up with anything like it.
Provence mission "claims of king rene" gives restoration of union cb on Naples if it is independent, cores for Provence on naples if naples is a subject
Because his vassal Provence got cores on all of Naples from their missions. If Naples is still under Aragons PU Provence gets cores. If Naples is independent they get a PU casus belli. Thats why i can be worth savescumming when Aragons starting ruler dies too early cause when he dies, Aragon almost always gives up the PU over Naples. Cores are much better than a PU, you save a diplo slot. Getting Frances vassals as Burgundy is from the burgundian missions. And you instandly annex them when you decide to fall under a PU via event when Charles I. dies. Thats why its better to do that than going for independency with Marie where the vassals wont get annexed. The best way to do that is having no truce with France and choosing them. Cause at that point France should be pretty weak and you can declare an independence war right away. Btw, only the dutch PUs and vassals with french culture get annexed. So vassalizing Brittany is worth.
Austria or Spain will have the most UP. It might be interesting to play for the real acquisition of the Thrones of all Europe for the Habsburgs, which this Dynasty really wanted to do.

Yes they are incredibly strong, few people know that especially on monarchies and 2nd development of government.

Han. i have not thought it would be possible but it was done. forming two nations in the middle and becoming Lotharingia 3 months after.
eu, great video
Thank you :)

Honestly, taking the HRE is such an obvious step for me that I didn't even think to mention it in the video :D
I think that when you formed france you inherited all their cores including that province in south and than you could return core with favors
Sorry if I was late ( been 3 weeks but shush ) but I’ve see that you have played as burgundy.
when you shifted back to being France, could you not have requested your last province back from spain using Favors?

@@lookasetbella You can ask for cores back. I don't know if it counted as you having a core on it since you formed france

Only if making France disappear didn't void the core on Labourd.
@@lookasetbella you can ask for your own cores back.
Nice

This is an image of the AI of a supposedly rejuvenated Duchess of Burgundy.
16 aggressive expansion for whole naples.. how?
also how did you inherit all vassals of france 😃
Burgund has a mission to gain all of vassals of France for itself automatically.

Hey how do i beat a challenge which i need zo have 10 junior-partner. Which countty suits?
Spain and Austria would be the beat in my opinion but I would also add Denmark and Poland for a game that is a bit more rng dependend.
Austria or Spain will have the most UP. It might be interesting to play for the real acquisition of the Thrones of all Europe for the Habsburgs, which this Dynasty really wanted to do.
Important thing for Austria and the likes: Do NOT Revoke the Privilegia. It will turn every HRE PU you have into a vassal.
5:12 They don't even take attrition. Doesn't matter.
