the curotto-can is probably one of my favorite garbage trucks!
Until you have to drive one
I think its a great design as you don't have to look behind you or in the mirrors to grab carts it's all up front and low to the ground to toss extras easier.
@@gigadrill0000
Too many blind spots and excessive truck length. Having to tip the bucket and pack. I’ll pass. Glad I don’t drive one. Was offered a newer one and I declined
Yeah mine yo I wanna be a garbage truck driver when I get older
Does anyone else find this video oddly satisfying?? Bc me too lol
Yep that's me
There sure were a lot of pretty plants in the Curotto can at 3:56 and those poor trees at 10:00. I think I would have jumped in that can to save them.
There was a lot of nice gardens on this route.
They are cut already. Propagation of those branches would be impossible
Excellent work! So satisfying to watch those Curotto Cans! I cringed and got confused through the whole video because the colors of the carts were the exact same. Must make it a pain on the drivers, and confuse the residents even more
Awesome! Thank you! Yeah, they have a funky cart solution, but they have newer carts that have solved this issue.
Same, but i did notice that the green waste carts have Y/W that is written on them that tells the driver that its yard waste.
I snickered when he steadied the dumpster with the arm. 😆
Loved the video you should make more like this one with yard waste
Exelente trabajo, mucho muy eficiente y gran familia, fue un gran orgullo pertenecer a ese gran eqipo, como siempre lo dije parese un video juego y gran reto el serbir a una gran comunidad....
I really want to start recording my days in my garbage truck! I’ve got a 2016 auto car currato for waste connections
Go for it!
Do it
What an nice video, man! I really enjoy this!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@cagarbagetrucks Always!
I have yet to film a curotto. They look so cool and entertaining, especially this one! Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Curottos are fun to film for sure!
I wish they were in La
the best one yet
6:35 casually brings the bin down and drives away from can without dumping it
I think that was a garbage container. They use the same ones, they just label the Organics with a sticker and write YW on them. The new containers have brown lids.
Awesome vid bro thanks for uploading the vids
No problem 👍
this is amasing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video.. more please!
Glad you liked it! I have more videos coming soon!
California Refuse Trucks first time seeing you guys on You-tube.
Question why was he skipping some green trash cans?
Edit: awesome video, my Favorite trash truck!
They didn’t have yw
@@minibinwaredisposaldude5641 that's what I noticed, I said to myself what's the difference why is he skipping some green cans. Then I noticed he dumping all the ones that has Yw on the side of them.
1:00 was asome
The only problem I have with this trucks is that they OVERHEAT!!!! I have to blowout the radiator at least twice a week. Other than that, pretty good system.
Who is that guy? A supervisor?
Air quality looks like Northern California during light fire season.
I feel like I am driving in cab garbage truck cool video front in cab
I am glad you liked it!
I’d like those curotto. Can s
Nice Colby. Is the truck new?
It was a newer model demo truck.
Wow
Wow!
I. Like. It. The curotto. Can s
So you pick up yard waste I wish we had these in our town because we pick it up manually which makes us stay until 9pm at night
word
That is awesome!!
Thank you!
Great video of the dedicated Curotto Can, this is one of the first videos posted of it and it seems fitting that this was filmed in Sonoma (or Temelec). Neat how 20:05 is a ex H&C cart and it looks like the cart at 26:10 is one of their ex H&C Disposal carts they bought, I'm glad there were a good amount of Zarns on route. Was this a Mack LR demo and do you know if Matt was the driver? Thanks for posting this and I hope you have more Sonoma footage.
This was the Mack Demo. I don’t remember the driver’s name, since this was filmed almost two years ago (crazy). I have video of the typical SGC trucks that will come out in the future.
California Refuse Trucks what are the specs of this truck? (Chassis, body)
CSphoto110 Mack LR Heil Odyssey
I'm totally not a fan of the new Curotto grabbers. They don't grip cans very well, they stick out too much, they drop cans 45 gallons or smaller in the can and if you adjust them to not drop smaller cans the fingers stick out even more.
That's true, I didn't even think about that.
Amazing nice video dude.
Glad you enjoyed it
California Refuse Trucks no problem dude.
Great video sir! Love the angle; really feels like you’re in the can. I did not know SGC had this demo truck. I would’ve went over and grabbed some footage myself. Hopefully I can get over to Sonoma to see what their fleet consists of in 2020. Once again, fantastic footage. Keep in comin’.
SGC has a great little fleet. This truck was only around for a few weeks (if I remember correctly) so it was a nice find that day.
Y dok
Fccccc
Can you please do a hopper camera of a Recology Davis Truck
That probably won’t happen anytime soon. Recology doesn’t allow for cameras on trucks.
Nicely done! It was like I was inside the truck! I wouldn't mind seeing more of this footage if you can get some. Also whats the coloring system? Green for trash and green with YW for yard waste? That seems a little funny
The coloring system is.... interesting. In most cases, green by itself is garbage, while green with a YW is Yard Waste. New containers used by this company have a green body, brown lid for Yard Waste.
whats with so little carts put out?
Green Waste isn't really heavy in this community.
@@cagarbagetrucks Is it sonoma? Up there i see allot of green waste
I like you
Man easy money yardwaste in a curroto truck. Not most are routes lol
I don't get the point of putting landwaste in a tub and then to dump into a tank seems just a waste of money adding Extra when other trucks already just pick up the cans and dump them
It allows the driver to keep his/her eyes looking forward, allowing them to see any potentially hazardous items/contamination prior to it being compacted.
Who the hell puts there cart out for a couple lemons
Welllllll, I have seen worse! lol. Try a twig in the bin.
It's organics. Even when there is a little bit in it, you have to empty it. Otherwise the bin starts to stink to the point of it being un usable.
@@Opinionatedguy1989 you must have a storng nose. Unless im filming l only put the green waste out if its at least half full
@Colie Amreps it's not me that has a problem with the smell, it's some of the apartment dwellers that complain.
@@Opinionatedguy1989 oh. Ok that makes more sense.
I hate to say it but all the work California does to help the environment with yard waste and recycling is almost pointless because it’s overlooked all over the place
This is true, but some diversion is better than nothing. As long as it is clean and properly sorted, it is better than land-filling it.
You miss one here this part ------> 10:10
That is a lot of trash you are going to pick up
Hek
Cool Video! Do you have any pictures of the entire truck? Ive been wondering if this was an acx or mack
Tffy
?
Curotto Can is the worst design ever for curbside collection
No it isn’t bum
@@GARBAGE_TRUCKS_OF_NAPA
No. Actually it is sir.
@wmg33 not even close, curruto cans pack more, on top of that they are mounted on front loaders which also pack a bunch, combine that with certain body sizes and they are easily the best for residential collection with side loaders and rearloaders being second and third. Not only that you can see in front of the cab, and stop contamination with them. Plus if a cart falls in the bucket you dont have to disable all the controls unlike a side loader. But aye if you think its the worst there are a million others who disagree thats its the worst. Here is a fully detailed paragraph on how it isnt the worst🫡
@@Cos.1s pack more ? I pack 14 to 15 tons on my ZR daily. The same weight if not more than a Curatto.
They’re longer than an ASL. We can’t use them in most of our townhomes and Cul De Sacs.
If a can falls in the hopper we just deliver a new one to the customer.
Excessive blind spots with 6’ of bucket in front of the cab and arms down creating blind spots along both A Pillars
You have overhead clearance issues having to dump the bucket like a FL. ASL doesn’t have this issue and they pack continually. No need to stop or slow down to run the blade.
Zero operational advantage over an ASL and numerous detriments. The reason why my yard has 10 that they’ve regretted since the day they were delivered. Nobody wants to use them. 2 were converted to FL and given to commercial and the other 8 will be soon purged from residential ops.
As far as contamination we don’t worry about that. If it’s in the can it goes in the truck and what’s in the truck goes to whatever dump site that route uses , transfer station or MRF.
Do you know of any area's that do food waste collection? My area in Canada does it. We have small green bins for food and animal waste. I used to work on a truck dumping those bins. I haven't seen it done anywhere in the States.
LeGaLiZe WeEd many places do but they use the regular 90/60 carts so you can’t always tell till you ask
So California has made it (mostly) mandatory for businesses that generate a significant amount of organic waste to subscribe to organic/food waste collection. So, in general, I would say California has quite a lot of organics collections. As for the other states, it can very. I think the closer you are to a large metropolitan area, the more likely you are to have food waste collection.
