Paul Frére apparently didn’t quite keep up with the facts. 18:52 the F355 does not have a ladder style frame, the 348 introduced the monocoque, which the F355 inherited. The involvement of (ex) F1 drivers was a smart move, but mainly from a PR perspective. Yes, they drove prototypes and shared notes, but Ferrari very much had (and has) its own dedicated test drivers that decide the setup. What Di Montezemolo did change (beginning with the F355 and 456) was that Ferraris should be easier to drive and live with, hence the F355 introduced electromagnetic suspension with a normal and sporty setting.
Amazing how the factory has changed since then. It’s a marvel of automation now.
The legendary Paul Frere discussing the legendary F355. Thanks for this content.

Brilliant. Owned an early F355 for 15 years now. One of the greatest. Think Paul must have filmed that after lunch.

It's not underrated, prices are rising - it is a jewel of the Ferrari world
