I’ve been in love with Ferrari’s since I bought my first Revell 250GTO slot car in the early 1960’s. But the escalations of prices over the years has made them unattainable for all but the ultra rich. Of course they were never meant for us. For a short time in the late 60’s and 70’s older models could be had for somewhat more reasonable sums. That was until investors got involved and saw them as 4 wheeled gold mines when stocks didn’t give them the returns they wanted. The cars since the 80’s do nothing for me,it’s the early to mid 70’s cars that do it for me. The 166 Barchetta,250 SWB GT’s,250 GTO,275GTB4,all are amazing cars. I envy those that can own them, but I wonder just how often they actually take them out for a spirited ride?
