Great shooting man! For those one hole groups, just measure the hole with your calipers. Take the largest reading, and then subtract bullet diameter. That will give you the actual group size. That's what I used to do when I shot benchrest back in the day.
If you still have that target I’d love to know what it was. Sweeeet 3 shot that was.🤟
I love 22-250, 20 plus years ago I had a Winchester 70 Stealth in 22-250. My best groups ever came from that gun, I had a 5 shot group that I could cover with a dime at 100 yards, 4 was in the same hole Loved it! Great shooting WTW!!!
This is my yote caliber. I couldn't find any of this ammo for 2 years. Found some this year thankfully.
It’s fun to shoot using 22-250. For PD rifle, I always go with 22-250 AI because there is less prepping hundreds of cases
Mate I always said, its hard to go past a 22 - 250, we found over many years of using Rifles, were the good old 308 & the 22 - 250, the 22- 250 was used 50% of the time, so for me its a great Rifle to have & use, good video Mate, Cheers & Best Wishes, Trevor.W.Bacelli. Biloela Qld Australia.
Some people spend a whole lot of beans to get those groups !
Very nice.
I love the Winchester stuff. It shoots great in all my guns and is super deadly on everything I’ve shot with it!
I think 22-250 or 243 or 270 would be awesome for pest control especially the kind in body armor I think a 22-250 in theory you can reload for and even stuff a green tip on to get going up to the standard
Hard to beat someone who knows how to fling boolots through a quality boolot slanger! Congrats on the 3 in 1 WTW!!!
🙏🙏🙏
Get off ripp offs
Get off
That's some great shooting that first three shot group was amazing I don't think you can beat that
Love the 22/250!! Good caliber
Nothing blows a woodchuck nearly in half better than the 22-250 nice shooting wtw
Great groups. Very telling how they slowly grow with the heat
Bro., watching you shoot these groups, as expensive as your shooting rest is, you can still see it moving around a little--which can negatively affect group size. An inexpensive bipod on the front, the kind that doesn't swivel or rotate, with a small rabbit ear sand under the butt stock always gives me the best groups. This combination is also cheaper and more portable than a lead sled or other more elaborate types of rests.
Always liked the 22-250. Had a Remington 788 so chambered. It shot groups like your first one with handload. Around a 1/2" with factory loads. Well once I got a few issues fixed. The front sling swivel stuck through the stock far enough to hit the barrel. I reworked the trigger down to around 2 lbs or so.
Bought it used and it blew primes with factory loads. Sent it back to Remington and they said the chamber was rusty. They pulled the barrel, set it back one thread and rechambered it.
That's one rifle I wished I never let go.
Great group Whotee! 22-250 is my favorite centerfire varminting round and to your point the last few years have been SLIM pickings for ammo availability. Hopefully that'll come around sooner than later. Here in Oregon it seems like the Nosler offerings are about all I ever see in-store and I'm guessing that is because they're made in Bend.
If you love speed, 22-250 is for you! I used your 10 yard sight in for my Savage Axis 223 on my channel the other day. It works pretty darn good! Thanks!
Zoom zoom
The 22-250 will burn up a barrel fast when fired quickly. Let it cool between shots and it will last a lot longer. A suppressor keeps more heat in the barrel and makes it worse.
Those are some great groups, awesome shooting.
Played with a Stryka scope this week. Their real nice clear scopes. Easy to use also
Good shooting and caliber. Think about getting you a cover for the shosher can. Thanks for the video.
Some Winchester white box 45gr at 3950fps is my groundhog load of choice out of my Remington 700 with a bull barrel and a Timney trigger. That rig is probably my most accurate setup, it shoots cloverleafs at 200yds all day
Great job job dude love that rifle and that can
I love the Hornady VE for my AR for coyote hunting. Almost same hole groups at 200 yards
That's some awesome grouping, I almost bought a .22-250 Years ago, but an old timer said to me nah they are barrel burners I ended up buying a .223
Hardly anyone ever shoots enough to burn out a barrel. 223 is good too tho
Unless you're r@ping through ammo frequently you aren't going to burn out a barrel, It would take MANY MANY years of casual shooting to burn them up.
Love that rifle! Nice shooting!
Back when I shot the 22-250 I ran winchester 55gr soft point they were very accurate in my Savage model 12 an ruger m77 mkii still own just don't shoot them much its all 6mm these days on coyotes
Very impressive!
The first group was incredible.
The 22-250 is a great caliber,I have a magnum research lone eagle in 22-250 that will blow your ear drums out even with ear plugs,But I have a Browning BLR in 22-250 my wife uses for hog hunting,She killed a deer last year at 350 yards with a neck shot
I would go back with the Hornady Varmint Express with a cold barrel. The groups consistently widened with each group, regardless of brand. You can almost predict the next group size, no matter the brand... both are very consistent!
I have an old rem 700 chambered for this cartridge. With my best loads it still shoots 0.4MOA 5 shot groups average
I have a friend who is a local rancher. He owns a large ranch with lots of livestock. One day we stopped by one of his houses on the ranch where he was keeping a sick colt. When we drove up 5 dogs that had attacked and killed the colt started running away. The area was open hay fields. Pete was really mad and jumped out of the truck with a Browning falling block single shot 22-250. As the dogs ran away Pete shot each one from an unrested standing position. The last dog was slightly over 1/4 mile away and I thought it would escape but it did not. It was a display of shooting unlike anything I had ever seen. He turned to me and said, "I don't know why they won't let me hunt elk with this gun. I can hit an elk in the head every time."
Always drawn in never disappointed
Thanks for watching Drew
Your welcome awesome videos
Excellent shooting! That thing's a tac driver!🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲
Shew, that's the best group I've ever seen!
That was Awesome ! Impressive grouping all around.. Great video Adam..🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Jeffrey
I had a Savage 12 twist heavy barrel. At 300 yards I could average 1in groups at 300 yards. best groups were when barrel was cold . May try a cascade if I can find 1. good video
My absolute most favorite caliber!!!! 22-250!!!!!
I've heard that suppressor wraps really cut down on mirage
My father brought his sako L579 I think it is in the late 60s....still has it today...3 or so barrels later..[ heavy varmint].new stock....shoots like a laser...hair trigger....ol bugger even took it on his honey moon...I blame my hearing loss to him shooting out of the farm ute cab ...ears ringing...for ages as a kid...lol
Nearly as bad as my 450.....gee yours is quite with the can...keep up the good work mate..
I took a large NZ red stag with this calibre back in our rut season and yesterday taking hares between 125-150 yards with sierra handloads awesome calibre for me. I shortened my barrel too and run an overbarrel suppressor whole rifle is only 24inches long.
That first group was amazing! Suppressors can really tighten up groups. Another great reason to have them. I want one of those cva 22-250's bad but you can't get them anywhere 🤦
Great shooting wtw👍👍
I really enjoy the 22-250, however at $2.00 a round it doesn't get much love!
To measure groups: measure outside to outside and subtract the bullet diameter. That first group looked like about .357" - .224" = .133" maybe even a little better.
I shoot same groups with that varmintX round out of my Ruger American Predator 22-250. That round is awesome and the advertised velocities were pretty dang close even out of a shorter barrel assuming they tested with 24” barrel. 100% would recommend either round for varminting
Very impressive, both of the rounds did really good but the Winchester is definitely the better round choice for that rifle. Great video as always. I watch a lot of different shooting channels on utube but I always come to this one for honest to goodness information with out all the bells a whistles, just really good informative videos using firearms that everyone can afford. GREAT JOB HOOTY WHO!!!
A lot of people frown on that Winchester ammo but my 270 and my 6.5 creedmoor love that stuff my 270 really loves those Winchester deer season xp copper impacts
One of my favorite cals .. Thanks brother
Are you able to find and test any 90 grain varmint loads for the 6.5 creedmoor? As nice as it would be to have a rifle in every caliber, it's not always possible so you have to use what you've got, and I have a 6.5 cm.
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT VIDEO ..!!!! GREAT SHOOTING ...!!!!!! DOUBLE G. HERE ...!!!!!!
Nice looking rifle and great shooting too
Wow nice shootin. 22 250 is one of my favourite calibre s to
Never thought there would already be a mirage at less than 10 shots. Maybe there is a reason people get wraps for those shushers…
Yup. Should have brought mine
awesome video. my ruger american loves those 50gr hornady in 22-250
Love the 22-250! Sadly i sold mine a while back, still have some ammo for it though. Black Hills loaded with Barnes Varmint Grenades. Love the varmint grenades!! I would be glad to send you some if u had any more testing planned WTW!
I really wish that someone would compare Hornady
.22-250 50 grainers in both their Varmint & their Superformance brands from a 1:12 barrel. Just a thought.
All you really need for a target is a tack with a dot in the center. Amazing shooting!
I had one years ago and I loved it in rem.788
I have a 788. From 1978. Accurate as hell
Those are all awesome groups at 100 yards! ...but interesting to see how they opened up as the barrel heated up!
Tikka makes a t3x lite in 1 in 8 twist. Using 80 eldm is solid coyote bullet. 77 lrx fom barnes what a friends son uses for deer
Whoo-Tee try shooting level 3a or 4 body armor with these loads. I bet they will penetrate .
I’ve really been wanting a bolt action rifle, not sure what caliber to get though.
thats some good groups
I would hunt with either but I like those Winchester rounds in that rifle.
Good shot my man 3in1 your on fire
Man. That first group is once in a lifetime!
Hard to do!
When you put 3 in the same hole, measure the outside diameter of the hole and divide by 2 👍
👍👍
Some good shooting
Thanks for watching LA
Awesome groups!
Man Adam those Winchester varmint x were impressive outta yer rifle
Fantastic 👍
I use to load my 220swift with 70 gr bthp Hornady, then I use some to load in the 22 250 for my son , slowed both down , but they'd lay the deer and hogs down
I used to run the varmint express through my remington 783 and loved it but switched to the 50gr superformance and never went back.
Never shot this caliber before.
Looking forward to this
One of my favorites!
I have a Winchester model 70 Coyote that’s a nice shooting rifle but a little heavy to carry !!
Tikka makes a 22-250 with 1 in 8 twist. Shoots 80 eldm great. And 77 lrx from barnes
Absolutely love the Hornady 55 grain vmax in my Howa 22-250!!!
Get less than 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards with this ammo.
Plus it does a number on whitetails!!
Me too....love the Howa and the Hornady combo!!
When would a .337 group at 100 yards not be good enough to win
I almost just got a .22-250 upper from BCA recently for coyote hunting on a farm this season, but I haven’t. I’m on the fence because right now I got cases of .223 Fiocchi Extrema 40gr VMax rounds for my 20in .223 Wylde uppers that say 3650 on the box that are probably still goin around 3400fps at least, idk I gotta chronograph em one day at the range to be sure. And then I got cases of .308 110 Vmax bullets that are 3300fps on the box and they got to be pushing well over 3k out of a 18in .308 that I got. I just don’t know if a 20in .22-250 upper is worth it, I heard most people saying a 24 or even 26in barrel bolt action is the only way to go. So should I go get another rifle and more ammo do y’all think? Or just stick with the two Vmax rounds that I got? Using suppressed AR’s.
My Savage 12FCV spits handloaded 40gr Blitzkings at 4021fps. Very accurate and devastating on ground squirrels. Only bummer is i can't shoot suppressed here in Commiefornia.
I know those booolots proved their worth, but lets face it those Cascade's are "INCREDIBLE" sub $800.00 slingers👏🏆
I have a friend that hand loads 264 win mag in 100gr, reduced powder so it's 100gr moving at 3100fps. That's what he likes for the Coyotes. He's never had one fail to do its job. I just shoot the Ole AR with 53gr super performance vmax. I'm not as serious at Coyotes. If they get within 40-50yds and my 40s&w is on me then I use that with 165gr gold dot loaded to 1250fps.
All good groups 👏 👍
CVA makes some great rifles
CVA makes a good rifle I’ve got an elite 444 stalker stainless camo.
Love my 22-250 👍👍
Just nailed a fox from 200 yards. Now time to get it processed into a nice fur.
That's phenominal!
Yay for WtW !!!!!!! taking my 17HMR to the range this weekend ..
Awesome!
WoW........ Did that just happen?
Nice shooting.
I take deer all the time with my 22-250
I have mid 80:s BDL it has slender barele. It is very accrite.
If your barrel is a 1-12 witch id say it is. Try the hornady. 52gr A-max. You will be pleased ;) but ya you cant ask any better than that at 100 yards no dout! Id say that gun will shoot better than you can hold it ;) nice shootin
I will stick with my 25 06 I can go down to a 80 gr up to 117 for dear or bigger
darn i missed the live
I'd take any of those groups
Take your tag with a 30_06 and accelerator boolots.
One of my favs!
Me too
Hey bud. I have about a 150-200 rounds of Grendel precision reloads tested and confirmed moa or better. you can have them for the cause if you want? Also have another 200 pieces of Grendel brass and a bunch of smokeless primers and everything you need to start reloading.223 and 6.5 Grendel. Probably 10-15 different powders and several brands of primers. Cheap. Hit me up. Thanks for the vids.
Im gonna bet if you let that barrel cool down between groups they would have all been close to the first one
