We took an electric break apart last night. And we're gonna do the other one this morning. The brake pad was frozen up like with some kind of white phosphorus looking stuff. But we live down here in Southeast Texas where it is very humid and Things tend to rust up a lot quicker around here. My buddy was telling me he could fix it. And I told him he was crazy But low and behold, it worked. We got it back together after sanding it And it was moving freely forward and back. I picked this shark willchair up. at a estate sale for $50.
For a Mexican neighbor and that lost his leg to diabetes He already spent 200 on the new Batteries and he wanted to return them because we couldn't get it working? So I did want to thank you because your videos did come in very handy.

My chair keeps coming to a juddering stop and throwing the trip switch.
It has been to the repairers before and they fixed the trip switch and said that they had 'cleaned out the brakes'. Receptionist said it was because I was going off road.
Looking at your video and my motor together ( Motion Tech EC series) I can't see how stuff could get into the brakes? Plus the screws into the brakes look like they haven't been opened for years.
It's now stopping again, trying to fix myself. Brushes great.
Are they taking the piss about the brakes.
Great vids! I have a Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0 and my left motor started making a grinding noise and getting hung up at low speed but once I turn up the speed and get it going it will roll fine. I'm guessing it's my gearbox. Sound right to you?
any idea if a motor or bearing is bad it would cause the. batteries to drain very quickly as if there is too much load?

Yes, it is called an attendant remote. You have to find one that matches your current r-net system. Some are plug and play. Some need more setup. Frank 1800 717 1252
Pronto sure step M51 It's right hand brakes dragging on the motor and took it apart cleaned it and put back together same problem .. goes about 50 feet brake gets warm and stops and keeps turning right .. help !!!

Hi! Have a Jazzy Passport that I use every now and then. The right motor is leaking thick red fluid (grease?) from the black rubber cap in the back of the square block (maybe gear box). I tried cleaning the hole and cap and push the cap all the way in but when I use it the fluid still pushes the cap out. Do I have to replace the rubber cap? It also has a rubber cap on the side like the motor in your video. However, the in the back is smaller.
Tin, Often times the grease that was originally put in the gearbox at manufacture, breaks down. The grease turns to oil, or at least part of it. Most likely, the best thing to do is to take the gearbox covers off and try to remove the oil. Once removed, depending on how much grease is left, you could put them back together, or put some high temp. grease in. Then you could clean up the cap area well, and apply some silicone caulk as glue to reaffix your cap(s). Frank 1800 717 1252

Sounds like a brake fault to me. Brakes by default are on, so when they fail, they lock up. Thanks, Frank 1800 717 1252
Mine does this to . And then will not come back on. My husband thinks it’s a wire going to the Moyer on the right side. When I wiggle it then it comes back on. Any advice on this sir? Thank you
I would remove the cover, then unplug and replug each connection 1 at a time. It may be a loose plug connection. Also, check battery connections. If all fails, call me.

Yes I believe they are taking a piss. Brakes are an electric-mechanical thing. Cleaning dust out of them will not fix the problem. Most likely, you will have to change out the brake.
My gogo elite makes a grinding noise like a broken transmision in a car and it dont really move anymore
Check between the motor and gearbox, the sacrificial coupler may be bad. Frank

Hi, I have one that the right-side motor cuts out and on only going forward it does not seem to do it if you keep going backwards. Any Idea what would cause that?
It could be brushes getting really bad, or. More likely a dead spot in your joystick. Check the brushes for excessive wear. See if you can find a dead spot or direction in which it happens. If it is the latter a new inductive is in order. Thanks, Frank 1800 717 1252

I wonder? Would you by chance have the small steering ball joint for a 4 wheel mobility scooter reasonable? I pulled my Dads out of storage after 7 years and it broke.

If it is actually correct, it would mean that you should check your brushes, connections, and wiring to that motor. As well, I would ohm each motor and brake out to look for difference in continuity. Frank 1800 717 1252
