I just bought a Tisas Stingray 9mm 1911. It has become my EDC. For comparison, I also own a Springfield Range Officer Champion in 45 ACP I still carry the Springfield from time to time. I went to the Stingray for the increased capacity and decreased recoil. I have not been disappointed. Thanks for the review.
Just bought that same Tisas a few days ago off consignment from a local shop, my first 1911 and .45. My son and I are heading to the range after I get off work in the morning to see how it shoots. So far I love the look and feel of the Tisas and expect good things from it.
The first handgun I ever held was my grandfather's 1911 when I was 8 years old. That was 65 years ago and I have been in love with the 1911 ever since. I currently have 17, 1911s in my collection from 9 different manufacturers Colt, RIA, Springfield, Taurus, AMT, Iver Johnson, Llama and Browning. Both of the Brownings and 2 of the Llamas are what I call Baby 1911s, I have one each in 22LR and 380ACP from both manufacturers. And I just recently added a Tisas Stingray in 9mm. Bought it based on the reviews I had seen online, including yours. I have not had an opportunity to take it to the range yet, but a close examination and comparison to other 1911s in my collection shows me that the Tisas is easily the equal of any 1911 in my collection in fit and finish including both Colts. I don't have one of the full size replica 1911s like the, I think it is the GSG. But I have both a Kimber and a Colt ACE 22LR conversion units and when my budget allows I will build dedicated receivers for each of them. Thankfully there is no 12 step program for my obsession. One last comment. 2 of my RIA's are a widebody 22TCM/9MM and a single stack 5" 38 Super. I found that the 9mm barrel from the widebody fits and works just fine in the 38 Super and while the finish on the RIAs may not be as nice as the Tisas, they obviously have a close watch on their tolerances.
I have the stingray and it hurts the feelings of many much more expensive 1911’s. I think Tisas is selling their pistols below their value (uncommon in this day and age) in an attempt to get their name out there. Springfield makes some amazing pistols (I enjoy my SA-35). So if the Tisas is keeping up with the Springfield then that in itself is a great compliment to Tisas. Great video. I enjoy your channel.
And I also wanted to say that I'm glad you do your closing message with giving out the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is something that's needed much more in today's world.
I have a Springfield 9mm 1911 "Loaded" I bought new in 2014 and it took a good 500 rounds to break it in. I lube it well so it runs pretty wet. That helps. My Colt Gov't Model .45 auto shoots better but its slide has a little play. I think Springfield's clearances are tighter, which explains the reason it needed a break in.
I really enjoy this video, I'm noticing 9 mm on 1911 frames are really becoming popular why pay all of that money when I could get a really quality weapon from Tisas. Once again great video, I envy people who live in the country because they can go out and shoot anytime as I live in the city and these indoor ranges are really picky on what type of ammo you can fire.
I have the Tisas Stingray Carry .45 ACP. It is taking me a little time to get broken in on it. I have always been a revolver guy, mostly S&W N frame models in calibers that begin with 4. But this Stingray 45 is about to spoil me. It fits my hand perfectly and when I bring it up to eye level I'm looking straight through the sights. It is really fun to shoot.
Take your factory mag apart and wipe all the components down with a silicone cloth. Run that cloth up through the inside of the mag too. It may help it.
Just acquired a used Garrison. Put 400+ rounds through it with no issues. The recoil spring seems a little light, but maybe I'm just used to a 45 spring
Just got my Tisas Stingray and I can say for certain that it is a very well made pistol and has a very good trigger out of the box, I would say mine is just under 4 pounds.
Just got the Tisas 9mm Stingray. Ordered it for carry because of the aluminum frame, commander size and round butt design. Will put a few hundred rounds through it first. Replacing my Ronin. Amen brother !!
I enjoyed all three of your videos on the Tisas 9mm 1911 Stingray Carry. I did have a question: How difficult is it to rack the slide (when trigger is not cocked back)?
I would chose the Sting Ray. The problem I see with the Springfield is that they make the barrels to be match grade barrels. However, they make the bullet chambers & speed ramps to only handle top quality bullets. Hence, the high bullet feed failures.
What are you talkin about? Pretty much all Springfield have a proper feed ramp cut to .400 to .415 so what you're talking about doesn't make any sense. Tisas has ramps that usually measure out to around .360 which is the Ragged edge of usable because it can lead to timing issues where the bullet comes up too early and goes in front of the extractor. Chamber dimensions are definitely a thing though and you are correct about that but you're going to be better off with a Springfield 9 times out of 10 because of the strange internal dimensions on the tesis frames, for instance, look at their Factory grip safety versus aftermarket grip safety. It's a nightmare fitting anything--but Factory parts to a tesis a lot of the time. Some things work and some things don't, Springer's have the proper Dimensions ninety-nine percent of the time
Turkish guns are precision made weapons..there is nothing " cheap " about them..many police depts. and militaries around the world uses Turkish guns...I love mine..
I find my Rock Island Armory's shoot as well if not better than any Springfield I've owned. I've got my eye on the Tisas Raider, Stingray and Night Stalker.
My 9mm stingray stovepipes and fails to lock slide back after fire last round when shooting remington 115 grain fmj UMC in green and yellow 50 round box. Im thinking it may be the ammo because i fired several other brands, types and weights ammo with no failures.
You don't even have to shoot either one, I would buy a Tisas over the Springfield any day. Like I said in a comment on your channel once b4, I have 3 Tisas 1911's, 2 in 45 acp, and 1 in 9mm. And never have had a issue with feeding stove pipes etc. I also have a Springfield 1911 in 45 acp and have had feed & extracting issues. They have since been resolved, but for the money I paid, I should have been able to shoot with no problems. Anyone that buys a Tisas, is making a smart buy. Have a Blessed Day and my He keep you and your family safe.
Always great videos !! The Tisas can’t be beat (my opinion) forged slide aluminum frame goodness ! You take care , good stuff on this channel for sure !!
I'm thinking about getting the Tisas Stingray. Your opinion, is it that good? I want to carry the Stingray for self-defense. I'm just a little concerned about Tisas. Let me know, thanks
@@AS-5884 I have the commander 9mm, I have no issues with it. Mind you I sat racking and decocking it during winter when I couldn’t get out to shoot it for a normal break in. I’m thinking of getting the tanker now ! 👍👍

I have the Tisas in 45. My last, and I mean LAST, Springfield was a Prodigy. Biggest piece of trash ever. The dang ejector even sheared off! The tisas just runs and eats everything.
Because Springfield is stingy, overpriced, pieces of crap! I have worked on over 50 of the Springfields that all need porting and polishing and new Shooting Star mags before they would run. On several of the Springfields I had to trim the slide release inside of the frame because it was so long it was sitting on top of the magizine causing failue to feeds or stovepipes. Go with th Tisaa ! They are great guns.

Tisas is selling their guns cheap because the Turkish economy is in the tank...America's acceptance of their quality has boosted their company...
And I also wanted to say that I'm glad you do your closing message with giving out the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is something that's needed much more in today's world.

In my opinion Tisas makes some of best 1911s on the market today.yeah mine is between 3.5-4 pounds on the trigger.
Great video Sir 🫡 as always! 👌🏻 👍🏻🇺🇸 God bless!

Shoots everything right out of the box? Those are good pistols! And you sir know how to use them!
The Tisas ran everything straight from the box but the Springfield didn’t but it’s doing better now after a few hundred rounds.thanks Chris!

I love 1911’s but would take the US made Springfield before the overseas made most often. Really good video!
I can understand that friend.thank you.
Hehe. Strangely enough the tisas are made in Knoxville TN .. Similar to berretta and quite a few others. Happy shooting brother

Thank you friend.
Tisas being shipped to my local dealer and a muzzle beak
Sounds good friend.
My honest opinion?
There is no justification is buying Springfield or any other midrange 1911 as long as Tisas keeps up their current quality.
I would agree 💯 percent!
I would agree 💯 percent!

That’s probably what it is.I’ve not had any issues with mine so far.
I like Springfield but they use mainly cast parts. Tisas is machined parts so theres that.
Oh and Springfield charges on average 300 more for those cast parts on a Ronin as opposed to the 300 cheaper Stringray with machined parts.
