It’s not really that warped or drowned. The lyrics are pretty clear, it’s just difficult to understand because limitations for the melody and the singer’s accent make it a bit broken.

So it's kind of Yosuke's song. It talks about him moving past Saki's death and turning the misery of her death into resolution to put an end to the case,looking at his past inspirations as a meaning in his desire to be a hero.

It is impressive how this song contrasts a lot with a heartbeat and heartbreak both for the lyrics and the beat. I read the comments and I see people saying that this song has a sad lirycs; however I hardly disagree with this statement, indeed, at first sight, it seems like it, is a sad song I mean but maybe we should view the lyrics from another perspective, let's take for example the line " Taking pride from fear" well maybe it has no sense at all the first time we heard it, but let's stop and think how can we "take pride from fear"? well, I have my own theory about what this means. I'd like to share it with you guys, well I think "taking pride from fear" ( in this case we see pride as a reasonable and justifiable sense of one's own worth: self-respect which is related to self acceptation in some way) so in this case, taking pride from fear means to recognize and feel comfortable from our inner worries and accept them as another part of us (just like happens in the game actually) this is just my perception of the lyrics, If anyone else wants to share their own opinions it would be nice I definitely want to read what do you any of you guys want to say.

Persona music also funny in the sense that I can only catch 20% - 60% of the English lyrics by just listening but as soon as I look up the lyrics, it's almost like all the Engrish parts gets unscrambled and I can hear all the lyrics perfectly as intended as if it were always that way lol

I love Engrish. Everyone has a different interpretation of what's being sung and I'm all for it.
I s2g Persona tracks are the only songs with broken engrish I can tolerate, It's just really that good.
Why does this give me early 2010 vibes?
I know the game is settled in 2011-2012, but I never really cared (and In 2011 I was 11, so I didn't even know this game existed).
But man, Idk... maybe it's its simplicity? The brightness and happiness? I kinda miss the times when the world wasn't as fucked up as now...

The world was always fucked up. We just didn't notice it back then.
The OG 1 was released for PS2 back in 2008. And it was more to late 2000's feeling.
Around the time this was created, shibuya kei became pretty intergrated into j pop which this track definitely fits under the genre. Furthermore producers like Yasutaka Nakata were also popular around that time. I’d recommend Misa Joey and some of coltemonikha’s tracks if you want to find similar songs
