"Yes, everyone is dying but people are still living" LMAO
+Aaron Velázquez Same here
"There's very little food in Leningrad. Millions of people die...blah blah blah"
Wow.
I need to amend that comment, it was actually 800,000. Still a third of the population and still very sad
+PeruseProject I was aware of it, I was just a little off put by the casualness of the way you said it haha
+carleeforever Calm the fuck down.
+S R ....what are you talking about?
+S R I never said she offended me. I just said I was off put by the way she phrased it.
My favorite is The Strange and Beautiful Sorriws of Ava Lavender! Like OMG - ITS SO EFFING GOOD. I CANT EVEN
I really liked Curio and I'm excited to read you and Sasha's book for this month!! Yay I was looking forward to hearing what you thought of Wolf By Wolf! Definitely gonna go buy it now since you liked it!!!
+Irish Reader YAYAYAYAYAYYAA
PeruseProject :D
I'm about 40 pages in:))
I'm currently reading Tatiana and Alexander and when you mentioned Leningrad ALL I could think about was The Bronze Horseman and Tatiana's family and EVERYTHING. This series has been such an emotional rollercoaster so far and I feel so invested in these characters.
Read The Nightingale in February!! I got it because of your Christmas haul and fell IN LOVE!
When I saw you gave Wolf by Wolf 4.5 stars I immediately order it from Amazon 😂😁
+Ana Miranda Right!? it jumped to the top of my TBR list! :D
Starflight sounds absolutely amazing
I can't be the only one who squealed in excitement when I heard this was posted.... Right?!?! XD XD XD XD YOUR VIDEOS JUST MAKE ME HAPPY!!
Lol same. I always look forward to her wrap ups! She has such a great taste
Ohhhhhhhj Starflight sounds pretty dang fun!
Shadowfell by Juliet Marillier and Hounded by Kevin Hearne are probably my two fav reads from January!
City Of Thieves sounds so good, I can't wait to read it!
Yesss!! I loved City of Thieves! So glad you're recommending it! I loved the balance between the humor and the dark heavy topics.
I keep hearing awesome things about Wolf by Wolf. Hopefully my library gets a copy in the near future. I'd love to check it out. Curio and Starflight also sound really cool.
'Don't get me wrong: it still isn't rocket science.' I laughed so hard at that part. :D
I'm excited to read Wolf By Wolf this month! I bought the ARC at a sidewalk sale for $1!
I enjoyed city of thieves so much. I swear I still think about it and I read it almost two years ago. The author actually wrote another book called the 25th hour that was made into a movie. I was going to try and read that.
Now I really want to read "City of Thieves"! My grandmother was born in Leningrad just before World War II and during the siege of Leningrad her mother died and she was evacuated to Latvia with other orphans. I feel like I will love this book...
Ah I love your sweater so much! Wolf by Wolf sounds AWESOME, you convinced me to buy it lol.
Wolf by Wolf sounds amazing! Also Starlight sounds right up my alley. I love your videos, I always end up buying a couple of the books and really enjoying them!
january was such a bomb reading month for you girl!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED City of Thieves! I'm so glad you enjoyed it as well. I don't really know of a lot of people that have read it. Hopefully more people will now that you have shared it! I also didn't know that he writes the screen play for Game of Thrones, so thats pretty cool.
You convinced me, I need to read The Name of The Wind :D And Starflight. Excited for that!
I've had City of Thieves sitting on my kindle for FOREVER... after your review, I'm anxious to get to it now!
Wolf by Wolf sounds so interesting! Definitely checking that one out! Also Curio! I saw Sasha and your liveshow for it and now I just want to read it even more.
I know you've had them for a few videos now but I really like your red glasses - very cool! Another great video as always. I really need to get back round to reading Patrick Rothfuss but, with no sign of Book 3 anytime soon, I don't want to get sucked into a story with no ending in sight - made that mistake with Game of Thrones already!
So happy someone is talking about City of Thieves... This book should be more famous! Glad you liked it, it's one of my favorites :)
My favourite book of the month was In Order to Live by Yeonmi Park, so moving and inspiring. I'll be adding city of thieves to my tbr presently!
I really need to read Patrick Rothfuss. My best friend loves him and we generally enjoy the same books, so I think I'd really like it. Glad to hear you enjoyed it and it looks like you had a very good reading month.
I am really happy that you liked city of thieves. It was one of my favourite books of last year. It was so enjoyable.
Yay! I'm so happy to hear you gave Wolf by Wolf 4.5/5 stars! I just hauled it and it's next on my TBR list! woot woot :D
The Name of the Wind is waiting for me on my shelf, I really need to get around to it- so good you loved the sequel.
City of Thieves sounds like something I'd really enjoy - I'll have to pick it up!
My favourite book that I read in January was Gone Girl. :) x
Wolf by Wolf sounds so good - very excited to read it!!
I'm so excited to read Wolf By Wolf - I've been looking for it at every book store near me but I think I'll have to settle with buying it online. And good job for reading so many long books - I read the first two Mistborn novels this month and I felt overwhelmed from them (and Red Rising, which left me in need of Golden Son now)
I can't wait to read Wolf by Wolf. It sounds so good! Great video, as always!
My favorite book that I read this month was White Fang which was quite surprising to me! I really enjoyed White Fang's journey into domestication and that it was told from his point of view. I finally broke down this month and bought The Name of the Wind because you have raved and raved about it. :)
Starlight sounds like something I like !!
I'm halfway through the name of the wind and it is soooo good!
+josefina diaz I finally broke down and bought it this month. Hoping to read it soon!
+The Astonishing Ashley DO IT!!! I'm on page 370 and I'm loving it soo much!!! Can't wait to read the 2nd one ♥
+josefina diaz I read it last month and his writing style is just amazing!
+The Astonishing Ashley it's super awesome so far I'm really enjoying it. Hope you start it soon
+halfbloodsandshadowhunters I completely agree. He said an interview that his books are like a river stone they've been smoothed over, and over and clearly it shows.
I wish I had all of those books on your shelf 😩
I'm so excited to read City of Thieves! I just found it this past weekend at a thrift shop for $1, so even better. Once I finish reading Armada (Ernest Cline), I think it is next up!
Oh man I loved wolf by wolf! I thought it was really well done and I did not see that ending coming!
Wolf by wolf looks so GOOD!
I finally picked up Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell this month and I would say it was probably my favorite book of the month.
Finally someone else who has read City of Thieves!! It's such an amazing book! Also, if you liked Wolf by wolf, there is a book called the Man in the High Castle which has a bit similar setting and Amazon just made it into a TV series.
Wolf by wolf is one of my favorite books now! It is going to be a duology!
7:59 "Basically she is a convicted convict..." XD *applause* great word choices Reagan XD (I'm just kidding please don't yell at me XD)
I read and loved Illuminae! I also reread Daughter of Smoke and Bone- hard to say which was my favourite!
City of Thieves sounds amazing. Definitely going to pick it up :)
Starflight sounds really good, I'll have to get myself a copy. I read both The Demon King and The Exiled Queen by Cinda Williams Chima in January (although I finished The Exiled Queen on the first of February) and they were both fantastic!
I'm reading the name of the wind right now because of you! please make more vlogs!
I read eight books this month, which I put in my own January wrap up. :) My two favs in January were 'The 5th Wave' and 'City of Heavenly Fire.'
My favourite this month was The shock of the fall what i bought because of your videos. It's far from my top ten, but it's a good book.
I read The Aeronaut's Windlass at the beginning of January and I agree about the cats narrative. He's very witty and so stereotypically cat!
My favourite books that I read this month were The Rook by Daniel O'Malley and Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo :) I am so excited for Starflight! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I also take the dust jackets off while I am reading books too. They just slide around too much!
I'm very eager to read Wise Man's Fear. Patrick Rothfuss is brilliant!
I read three books in the month of January. I think my most favourite read was 'Beside Myself' by Ann Morgan 😊
I really want to read with you this month. I have not yet been able to make it but let's see :) I hope I make it this month! Loved your Wrap Up like always. I may gonna need to take a second look at Wolf by Wolf. I originally wasn't keen about this book but now you gave it 4.5 stars :D the struggle is real...
Wolf by wolf sounds like a book i would love to read!
City of Thieves sounds so good!
Saw that David Benioff wrote a book and was so curious as GoT is one of my absolute fave shows...glad to know you liked it, I'll definitely check it out now :~)
Love the glasses, looks great on you👌🏻
I'm really keen to read Starflight, not usually into anything that is remotely sci-fi but with the whole convicted felon thing I think it sounds like a cool concept!
I always trust your taste in books and my last two reads were based on your recommendations (The Name of the Wind and Burial Rites) and I loved them both. I was wondering if you'd be able to do a video on how you rate books? I'm always curious how booktubers decide how many stars to give a book and what elements are important enough to influence a rating. Thanks, love all of your vids!
My favourite book I read this month would be Throne of Glass by Sarah Mass I really enjoyed how Seleana was so fierce and feminine.
I loved Wolf By Wolf. It was amazing!
I miss your VLOGS😩 are you planning to carry on with that? Please say yes😂😂
I really enjoyed reading Cinder in January. I only read three books in January.
I've been debating reading City of Thieves, loved hearing your thoughts on it!
She made it sound really interesting.
Please read it I bought this book a year ago because of this video, and I picked it up in March 2017 and just finished it. My god, what a fantastic book, it has been awhile since a book has given me such an adrenaline rush and this book did just that. Even had to come back to this video to round things out!
I love the fact that you read more than just YA. I wish I could say the same about other booktubers.
Since I started watching your videos and got a feeling for the books you liked to read, I was waiting for the moment when you read City of Thieves :D Russian, historical-fiction, great characters, funny... How could you not love it?? haha
I really want to read starflight as well!
Your glasses are so cute omg ur adorable
I loved City of Thieves too, it was truly really good :)
Hey Regan! Really looking forward to reading City of Thieves! Btw, Kolya is a common boy's name and is pronounced like ko-li-a and is short for Nikolay :) Thanks for the wrap up!
I just read The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons and I loved reading about the time period so I really need to read City of Thieves so I can learn more
the next book i'm going to read is going to be the wise man's fear. i can't wait
You should read the kingdom of little wounds! Loved it.
your videos deserve million reviews .
If you ever want to come to The Netherlands for any reason. I would like you to show you around. you look like fun to hang around with and to talk about books :D
Have to pick up The Kingkiller Chronicles series - i have heard nothing but good things about them! But what a mamoth of a book! I am currently Reading Outlander and boy is it gonna last....don´t get me wrong: i am loving it, so far, but i am reading other books in the interrim. It will be a series i will not finish during 2016, for sure.....
Love this video!! 💕💕
Blood Kiss by JR ward and Born of Shadows by Sherrilyn Kenyon were my davorite reads ofJan.I put up my first wrap up last night.ahhh!!!
I'm starting The name of the wind today! Not a book I would buy normally hit I'm so intrigued by it. I've only read two books in January :(
I have heard The Name of the Wind is compared to the new Game of Thrones. I'm really glad that the author is only doing 3 books, honestly. It'll be more likely that I will read it and finish it. Whereas, with Game of Thrones I don't know when I'll finish that series!
Why do you call him David Ben-hoff??? It's Benioff 😂 I loved city of thieves one of my favourite reads of last year, it made me laugh, cry and I felt like I had learnt more about the lives of civilians in wartime Russia, which I didn't have much knowledge of beforehand!
Hiya Regan! Just wanted to let you know that I found your channel today and love it! You give such great descriptions and reviews of the books you've read and use really beautiful words to express yourself!
I was also wondering what equipment you are using for filming and editing?
Could you maybe give some tips for starting a booktube channel? I've been thinking about it for a long time now!
Love your channel and videos :3
I heard about Wolf By Wolf from Katie Loves To Read and she said it was really good and now you're saying it's really good so now I feel like that's enough people for me to get to it and try it out.
Im reading the Buried Giant right now, and I'd give it 3.5-4 stars
I finished an arc of a book called the Last One about a woman in sort of a wilderness reality show, but the world is overrun by plague while the show is going on, so she doesn't know what is part of the show, or if the stuff she's seeing is real or not.
And my most cherished item currently is an arc of the City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin. I've been waiting for YEARS for my friends at Penguin to get this to me, and it's finally happened.
I really want to read Curio and Wolf by Wolf they both sound really good
Well, my To Read list just grew a bit....Great video! -M
I suggest the novel "The Dog Master" by W. Bruce Cameron, if you have not read it already. it's a great historical fiction about the domestication of the first dog and has multiple POVs of two difference species and two different tribes, it's wonderful!!!!
I've been meaning to pic up Curio now really don't know if I should.
My favorite books from January have to The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani and A Thousand Perfect Things by Kay Kenyon! You should definitely check out A Thousand Perfect Things! It's an alternate historical fantasy set in 19th Century Anglica (England) and Bharta (India)! ~Riv
I really enjoyed Verity by Claire Farrell, also French Roast by Ava Miles.
I'm planning to get these books: Raven boys, monster calls , wolf by wolf, shatter me, gracing, and kiss of deception. Anyone got any more suggestions that are similar? Thanks!
Will you continue uploading vlogs? I really hope so; they were really enjoyable!
I only read one book this month. I'm in such a huge reading slump. I don't even want to read any books on my shelf.
You should read the Lorien Legacies series!
Hey, question...how do you get books from publishers? Did you have to join something or what?
