Yass made a lighthearted comment when the Marine"s cover (hat) was put on his head "there you are soldier . That could get a man into a brawl in a heartbeat...Marines are not soldiers! We've earned the title United States Marines...We are MARINES !
I have always been led to believe that the fallen cover is part of the routine. It seems to happen during every performance. But yes, it's meant to illustrate the precision and professionalism of the USMC.
The cover being knocked off is not a part of the show, but it does occur. So, they have a procedure to place it back on his head. FYI...they are not soldiers, they are Marines. The Marine that went down the line, was not punishing anyone for losing their cover. That part is part of the routine, and the inspection demonstration.
I am a proud member of the US Air Force, disabled vet and the pride I have in our Marines has no bounds. These are the men who go in first, the first to die and the last to leave. These men are the backbone of the US Armed forces, after that copmes the Army then The Navy with the Air Force overhead. The US Armed Forces have rivalries but support each other with conviction. Marines are by no means solders just as Navy Seals are not just Navy. They ear the title Marine, Seal, Green Bret and are not referred to as soldiers in general. Thanks guys this brought back memories of my friends in the Marines.
They don't get punished for the hat, There NCO is trained to replace the hat when he can, if not a support member grabs the hat when they leave the field , The Military knows these thing happen & the saucer hat isn't the easiest thing to keep on during normal wear
Shouts out to Yass n’ Fats and all of our cousins across the pond! Our two great countries have their similarities and their differences, so I find these reaction vids to be very interesting. GRACIAS! 🇺🇸🤝🇬🇧= ☝️ Until the next one,…… 🙏✊✌️from Los Angeles USA 🇺🇸
@@yassandfats Just wanted to let you know I love both of you and enjoy watching the videos. Keep it up. Love your smiles. My birthday is next week. I am hoping to have orange cake for the first time in years. I have to find someplace that sells it first. No luck yet here in Cali!!!
Oh yeah,::: TO Yass & Fats, YOU GOTTA CHECK OUT a video (here on RUclips) : It takes place in 1991, in one of their homes and it’s of these black guys who recorded themselves (with a video camera) watching Whitney Houston sing our national anthem (the “Star Spangled Banner”) at the 1991 SuperBowl XXV LIVE/IN REAL TIME!!! It’s soo interesting and important, because you’re witnessing their LIVE reaction of feeling sooo proud and getting a morale boost! Its an important piece of American history, because we (🇺🇸) had just declared war on Iraq, so there was some uncertainty in our country. THAT ONE performance alone lifted the morale of our entire country!! The fact that it impacted our nation in such a way and to watch what those guys were feeling, I’m sure most of the country was feeling that same way!
First time watching your channel. Both of you are wonderful. All beaches of the military (US Air Force, US Marines, US Navy, US Army, US Coast Guard and US Space Force.). All drill teams are amazing. Each one has their own style, and look amazing!!! My personal favorite is the US Air Force. Air Force= are called Airmen, because they are a member of the nation's Armed Forces. Marines= are called a Marine, because they serve as Naval Infantry who serve both land and sea. Navy= are called Seamen or Sailors, because they navigate and operate ships at sea. Army= are called Soldiers, because they risk their lives, carry weapons and fight for their government. Coast Guard= are called Coast Guardsman, because they are charged to be officer and sailor, humanitarian, defender, regulator, steward of the environment, diplomat and guardian of the coast. US Space Force= are called Guardians, because they are to protect US interests in space and provide space capabilities to the joint forces. I hope this small background of our military helps to understand. I hope you both have great results with your channel.😁
Marines are never called soldiers.... LOL As a USMC Veteran I aprove this message, glad you both liked the US Marine Corps Silent drill team, some of the best in the world. USMC 88-94 3/3 By the way this is the best USMC Drill team. They where the white trousers instead of the Dress Blue trousers as they are from the DC Barracks.
The Air Force squad is pretty damn cool too. It’s a smaller squad, but they are doing a lot riskier moves around each other and especially their commander. The part that most people find odd is that it’s the Air Force doing it, but no planes just rifles. That’s because most people don’t know the USAF do have ground combat, medical, and yes SPECIAL, forces. Their spec-ops guys are up there with the best of them. Yes, I’m partial to the USAF. That’s where I tried to go out of high school as I wanted to fly a F-15 or an A-10. The eagle was preferred but either would have been fine. But, I found out while getting the physical check that I had recently became a Type 1, insulin dependent diabetic, so no military or pilots license ever for me. But, what can you do other than realize other, or new, dreams and get on with your life. That was just over 33 years ago now, wow! I hadn’t really thought about how long that had actually been! Anyway, became a college graduate, IT administrator, with way too many industry certs instead. Since then, I do all my flying in Flight Simulator, X-Plane, and DCS. Not the same, but a lot safer for everyone! There’s only one issue with this entire video, and the day it happened. It was the complete lack of respect shown by the NFL, teams, and some of the players for coming out on the field and warming up while these REAL men were out there! Ever since Collin “Caspernick”, pulled his crap, the NFL has went way down hill. That’s why I’ve always been more into college football instead.

How do they do it? Practice, practice, practice. In the army we never ever saw the silent drill team, it was always checking your equipment, or your vehicles on a daily basis. I did see the U.S. Air Forces drill team down in Dallas in 2017.
@@GregB419 He wasn't being disrespectful when pointing it out to them, just letting them know. We know they're from another country and probably don't know. It's all good. Semper Fi ! :)

Ooh Rah!! Semper Fi,Mac! Lock & Load ,there Jarene!!
I did 3 months of drill "marching" at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego when I was a recruit. These Marines are on a WHOLE different level
The cover was accidentally knocked off by a bayonet, this is just how professional these guys are, and that's coming from and army vet

when i was in elementary school we had an assembly and got to watch a silent drill platoon. it was awesome.

When the marine is "singled" out he's not being punished, everything they do including the "solo" is all part of the performance

@@Smokeater4444 I think the hat coming off makes it a better show, it might even be part of it. Lol.
I have a question, though. Is that hat now trash, and replaced, or can he still use it?
@@michaelmorris423 Depends , If no one stepped on it, Its reused BUT if its damaged it will be replaced back at Base
Each branch (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines) have their own exhibition drill teams, each with their own unique routines.

The cover was an accident, but the rest, all of it, is part of the show. There are no punishments in front of 60,000 fans.

That was the best team on that field that day .

The only bad thing about this video is the football players take to the field at the ending
I know right. That pisses me off. I mean these soldiers are the real stars and real heroes not these lousy players.
No respect for our Military people....see how this country treats our Veterans. So sad.
Glad someone said it, to me, at this point in time i don't care who you are this is their field until the are fully off it.
The part u thought was punishment is called inspection
8:31 the part you are watching her is called the inspection portion of the drill.
Happy Anniversary! I just saw your photo. Have some good pizza 🙂

The high-school gym one is better, you can hear all the moves better. Plus you don't have the NFL on the field being disrespectful.
The number of hours these men put in to practicing this thing is insane.

No it's a different soldier - and if you go back - the soldier the hat fell off of - it was actually bumped by a gun. Totally separate incident.
The guy that gave his rifle to the inspector opened it and showed it was an empty chamber before presenting it to him.
