Sorry for the late response- I just saw this. I don't know if there is a video out there, but if you just count the clusters you should be able to figure out the pattern. It's based on quads (sets of 4 balloons) - so it's solid color quads with either red, yellow or green in every other layer (2 sided, one cluster for each color).
For helium arches I've found that 2.5 gallon water bottles make great bases. If it's an air-filled arch, well that's another story... For the column base plates and poles I posted a video on how to make them.
u are one amazing instructor sandi i am very anxious to make my daughter bday balloon column next weekend omg! i am very nervous but i am going to have ur videos up to follow the step by step methods and wow my guests.
hi sandi . . . thank you very much for this demonstration, i am so excited that i found your video today. i've been looking for a tutorial on this. i am a new balloon artist who just recently moved to a suburb of l.a. from san diego. i make my bases 12" inch squares with 1/2 inch flanges and pvc poles. my question is, what are yours, they look like 18-24". any little bit of advice can help, in the meantime i'll keep looking for your videos and will go to your website. thanks again, gia
Awesome sandi, is there already a video on how to make the balloon stop lights? My sons second birthday theme is the 1st week in august & will be Disney cars & I would love to make these :)
Hi Sandi, love ur work, ur such a talented teacher. Do u have a video on how to make a balloon arch. I seen one that u have for a single person arch however I'm looking to create a base to cover a rectangular table. I just can seem to get the right size emt pipe/aluminum rod. Any tips?
Adriana Jimenez Thanks!! I have a couple of videos on arches. Take a look through the video tab on my channel. I also sell arch kits in my new store at www.DiyBalloonArtStore.com
Heyy , i'm not an expertr....but somethin you can do is.....make/buy two baseplates......and on this columns you blow the balloons with air....and on the top instead of using a pipe you can use a string and fill those with helium , Just a tip....maybe its usefull , maybe not 😂😴
I make my bases 2' x 2' - I go to home depot and get the sheets of plywood that are 4 x 8 and have them cut it into 8 pieces. I prefer to have a wider footprint to make it more wind resistant and hold up better against torque from arches. :-) I talk a little more about the baseplate on the stairway to the stars video.
sandi im planning on wrapping the 260 balloons at the legs of the canopy tents what are ur suggestion on how to cover the 10 ft legs of the canopy tent? please help how many 260s balloon do i need if it 40x40 there will be a total of 16 legs party tent?
I noticed that the reason it was shorter was because he didn't have the smaller balloons on the bottom. So isn't it difficult to slide it up? My issue is that when I get to the top and I'm trying to tie it off high so the pole is not showing but I have a quad that I'm fighting the quad out of the way to tie. Sometimes it's fine. Other times I end up being a little short of how high I want it. I need the end result with the two quads at the top for particular purpose so I set the height similar to what you did in this video. I've thought of removing the quad but that makes the quad above it less stable. Do you have any tips on tying it off when you need it tight underneath the quad at the top? I should mention that the only difference is that I was spiraling the second two and fitting it around instead of doing the third and the 4th balloons separate.
hi sandi . . . i admire your designs and professionalism, so i thought i would pose this question to you. i purchased a dual second split sizer but didn't know i needed a regulator. so i bought an air compressor but it is entirely too loud. i do not have a helium/nitrogen tank and would prefer an air compressor right now. do you have any suggestions on a good, QUIET compressor?
Marilyn Imboden The balloons I used were 11" rounds and 260s. All are available in my new store, Http://www.DiyBalloonArtStore.com . Also, there are a lot more instructions in my book, The DIY Balloon Bible For All Seasons. :-) Let me know if you have any questions.

😍😍no comment!! that is just simply beautifull! i wish you could come to Aruba to do some balloon course!! if you do come i would be the first on the list!! (sorry for the bad english i don't live in america but in Aruba)
You Should....I'm very interested in doing some balloon arches , columns....i know how to do those ..... but i don't know how like make the difficult ones... cause ur very creative!
Hi Sandi. I was wondering if the twist balloons are all sized 260? You video makes look so easy to just twist the balloons. When I tired, I felt like the balloon was going to pop. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks
Yes, they're just 260s. If it feels as though the balloons will pop, then the balloons have too much air in them. Give them a good burp so that they are still fully inflated, but have less pressure in them. Then they will not pop. :-)
Thanks I was just looking at your page and saw that u sell led lights for the balloon will you make a video so u can show how you put the led light on the balloon plz
Great video, thanks. Do you come back and get your poles and bases back after the event (as rental structures) or are they factored into the price as disposable?
Thanks. I decorate a lot of the places that will not let you leave stuff there to pick up the next day and I have to go back at midnight and pick items up/breakdown. Its really a problem when I have 3 jobs to breakdown at midnight or they are 50 miles away. I am looking for a cheap way to be able to consider them disposable. I love your videos. Thanks for all the information and techniques. I have been decorating for about 11 years, but I still learn new stuff from you.
The "not lamps" from Ikea are pretty cheap for a disposable. Or, you can hire a couple of college students to be your strike team- that's what I do, then build that into your cost. :) Thanks for the kind words too :)
@@blankcanvaseventdecorI charge a deposit for my poles and bases, that I give back to the customer once they bring everything back in good condition. This saves me from making midnight trips to pick up items, and I can easily replace whatever I don't get back. I also offer a "Pick-up service"- I charge $25 for me to come and tear down the balloon decor and pick up the poles and bases. This is in addition to the deposit, so if anything has been broken during the event then I can still replace it.
hi Sandi, your balloons are gorgeous! please can you tell me how long will take to set up a room with all those decorations? How many people ?Maybe for some different themes like pirate theme or jungle? Thanks a mill,Monica
+Monica Radu - The amount of time that it would take would depend on how many people you have helping you, how intricate the designs are, and how fast you can inflate and assemble. It would take a lot less time for me and my team to do it then it would for a team of people who are inexperienced with balloons. I would suggest doing all air-filled work the day before and plan on it taking much longer than you think it might. As you gain experience, your time will go down :-)
do you have any tips for someone trying to start an event planning company? I am trying to get customers, and have been practicing balloon archs for a long time.
Hi Alberto, What are you looking for specifically. We're in the process of setting up an e-commerce site, but perhaps I could help you get what you need in the meantime. Send me an email to sandiballoon@gmail.com:-) Thanks!
Hi Sandi Im doing a Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday Party for my daughter in March do you have any great Arch or Column ideas for it...that I may consider using?
+Shay Godfirst and Foremost - Look at the colors of the show and you can do something with that. There are yo gabba gabba foil balloons that you can add to the decor, and maybe even some cut-outs to stick onto it as well :-)
I've gotten many questions on the base- it's simply a piece of wood from home depot, with a flange screwed on, a threaded pipe screwed into that, and a piece of emt taped into the pipe. Take this to home depot and the guy there will show you what each of those things are ;-)
Well, I couldn't live without my precision air. But as for a quiet compressor to hook up to the dual sizer... sorry I don't really know. I guess just get a really long hose and put the compressor in a different room. ;-)
Sure - If you look through my channel and the various playlists, you will find lots of colorful patterns and designs. Often children's decor will either have a red, yellow, blue, green color scheme, or a pink, turquoise, yellow, orange color scheme :~)

This is a big problem for everyone.
I think that brodys 800 4 balloons is in the chicago area- they may do some training classes.
how are u fixing the gap between the stop light and 260 balloon? did u adjust the stop light by moving it down?

Hi thanks for the videos, where can I buy and what's the name of the big red box the one looks in the back, thanks and God bless...!

Thanks :~)
prob 3/4". I usually use 3/4" or 1/2" emt.
what is the name of huge red storage bin and where can I get one of those
I call it a balloon house, it's made by silver rainbow. Check with your local distributor to find them :~)
Is there a specific balloon brand u use? I'm on amazon trying to figure out which ones to get
I generally use either Qualatex or Betallic balloons. :~)
preciosa decoraciòn.
that was helpful and I guess on a smaller scale I just have to tighten it up
I want to know how u did that
I've gotten many questions on the base- it's simply a piece of wood from home depot, with a flange screwed on, a threaded pipe screwed into that, and a piece of emt taped into the pipe. Take this to home depot and the guy there will show you what each of those things are ;-)
Awesome!
thank you
That is awesome!

Hello can you use 160
+Drenda Holmes You can, but I don't recommend it as they will deflate much faster than a 260 will :-)
