Inflate two balloons at once and tie them together right away. It's a waste of time to tie them individually first and than tie them together afterwards. You don't need fishing line for balloon columns. Most decorators will tell you to work with quads but I find that best and quickest method is to take two pairs in your hands, stand in front of the pole and hug it with balloons in your hands. Place front balloons over each other on the other side of the pole, then flip two hind balloons (those between you and the pole) over each other. This way the four balloons in the same raw will not fall apart since they are firmly wrapped around the pole. Cheers!
This is the first video I've watched and it was straight to the point for the desired creation. I love the simplicity and detail and clean, organized style of your videos!
Great user friendly instructions. I work at a car dealership and decorate with balloons. I built tower base plates with metal pipe for extra durability. I will build short tower assemblies around 3 feet tall that will be put on the roof of a car, truck, or SUV. Also, a short tower could be placed in the bed of a pickup truck to help show it off. Just be sure to put adhesive felt bottoms onto the base plate, or put a small cotton cloth or towel underneath whenever the tower gets placed on a surface that cannot get scratched. Maybe I will add rollers on the bottom for heavy balloon towers for easy mobility, since this would allow untrained individuals to move the tower and be careful at the same time.
Wow, love it! I'm going to make a stand for my halloween party! I'm going to make a giant spider topper from giant black balloons and long black balloons. Great video, thanks for the tips
Love your video. Very easy to follow. I like how your so patient in explaining. Thank you. I would love to see you demonstrate flowers, art with 260q balloons, please. I have watch a ton of video but mine was an EPIC fail.
Its too bad my kids are now too old for parties. When they were little I had parties for them and I would go all the way ! Lol. Thanks you are great!! Thanks for sharing
Ballon sizer box is genius and this video was super helpful. I ran into some issues with the screws, the sizing was good but when I went to the hardware store there were so many options for that size but it all worked out in the end ❤🤗🙌🏾
We've never used a wood stand. We make the quad balloons like this but just use ribbon to hook the quad sets together. Saves time and $. Great tutorial though!
5:00 is what I’ve been searching for and Have not been able to find online anywhere, thank you so much this is helping us save so much money with an upcoming event that we are throwing ourselves your channel is wonderful you definitely just gained a new subscriber I’m surprised you don’t have like 1 million or 2 million subscribers already your videos or concise and in-depth but clear enough to understand but don’t drag on also and they go in depth with the information that I’ve been searching for online, thanks again
Excellent instructions!! Very clear and concise!! Can't wait to try it in April for my event!! Two questions... how long did it take you from start to finish? And how long does the column last? The event I am considering this for is at 7 pm on a work day. So if I could put it together the day before and transport it day of, that would be great! Or if it doesn't really take all that long, I could put it together at the event the day of.
I love your video!! This is a great project and very inexpensive!! Did you do it for an event or was it just for the DIY video? I hope that you will make a video of you taking it down! I have seen many videos of projects being put up, but none of them getting taken down. It would really help! It is always fun seeing all of the balloons getting popped! I hope you will start including that in your videos!!! Keep up the great work and I cant wait to see the next project!!
Hi Jenn, this is a great question. I gave this balloon tower to a friend for her granddaughter's first birthday. Some of the set ups I do are for actual parties/events and some are for demonstration purposes. A lot of times these are things I've done for events in the past and I'm just breaking it down into bite sized tutorials. Like the Woodland baby shower series, I did something very similar for my sister in law's baby shower that was before I started making videos. Although, I did leave out the 3' paper mache squirrel this time. lol. I had never thought about showing the take down process, honestly it comes down WAY faster than it goes up. I'll keep that in mind for the future. For the balloon tower, I popped all the balloons and just disconnected the pipe from the base and was left with a small pile of fishing line and balloons to throw away. Thanks for watching!
Love it!😊 I'm going to make this today using 12-inch balloons, but I'm only going to inflate them to nine inches, as you have done so. So, if I take them outside in the hot weather they should be fine because they are all ready under-inflated, correct?!
Yep, they shouldn't pop since they are under inflated. It is best if you can inflate the balloons in a similar environment they will be displayed, but thats not always possible. Good luck with your project! :)
Hi I just ran across your channel and I really like your easy DIY’s instructions since I’m a new party decorator/planner… I’ve had a hard time with balloon pillars! They tip over once I take them outside! I had to attach the base to a 10 lb weight! Do you have any other suggestions??
Hi. Thank you for this info you were awesome. Question, how do you retrieve your balloon stand after the event is over? Is there anyway to take them off without losing there form?
Great video! I've made the stand and bought the balloon pump. Just wondering how far in advance can you make this? Ideally I'd like to make it the weekend before my son's birthday but not sure if the balloons will still be fully inflated? Any advice??

Great Video!!! How much did you spend making the balloon stand base?
Thanks for the FYI
Great video! Do you happen to have any information or video on the same method to make an arch?
Please do you use your pvc balloon stand for outdoor events?
How far in advance to an event can you make this before it may deflate?
Great tutorial!! Thanks for the outdoor tip as well. How far in advance can you make the column? Can it be made the night before?
Great question. I've been doing them the night before for my lawn decor but I'm an amateur. Idk.
Yes you can blow up balloons the night before however I blow up matallics same day because they loose color and shine
