      Ronald L Fleming thank you for your comments and glad you enjoyed! We were hoping for a bit more sun, but did find that when we got to Banff. Hopeful to post that later this week.

      Adrian Hockey thank you and if a bit more sunny would have been perfect, Mountains, rain and clouds...looked a bit like Scotland perhaps.

      Very similar to Scotland in many ways but on a grander scale.😁

      Ryan Birr thanks for the comment and it was great. If it had been a bit warmer we would have stayed and done a few other hikes...definitely on our list to go back!

    Thanks for sharing your birthday with us Gordon! There is nothing like visiting spots like that when the season is over and you practically have the place to yourselves. That is beautiful country and I cannot think of a place I would rather be on my birthday! Happy Birthday and safe travels.....

      Frank P thanks for your comments and it was great to be able to share! Since the start of September most of places we have been have been quiet. At Blanket there were only three or four campers in the whole park! Banff got a bit busier though as you will see in next video, though much less than summer we believe.

      Billyt thank you! We were challenged in Glacier though by the weather, often rain and so missed seeing many of the great mountain peaks. The rain, clouds and fresh snow add a different type of beauty however.

Your channel is a rare blend of fantastic viewing and useful, thoughtful and enjoyable reflections on RV camping in Canada. You are inspiring these Ontarians to drag our trailer to BC. Cheers!

      Marc Dsh glad you enjoyed, a very nice area! 🏔🌲. And thank you for the BD wishes!😊. As for ticks, the only place we have seen concerns was in the southern interior and that was early season late March thru June. Limited to no Lyme disease to best of our knowledge.

    Lol I mentioned in previous video how we are chasing you. We were going to go do the same trip but decided to go to the Island (wasn't sure about the snow in Banff/Jasper). Now I find out it was also your Birthday Gordon (Happy Birthday) (lol mine as well!!). Like you suggested maybe you should mention where you are going next. I think a meet and greet would be cool.

    • @hikenrv
      @hikenrv  6 лет назад

      MrRyanDiehl and a belated birthday 🎂 to you as well! We hope the trip to Vancouver Island was enjoyable, some great spots there as well, and almost certainly warmer! Great idea on the meet and greet; when we next plan a formal trip we will reach out. Also have an email at Hikenrv@gmail.com where you could let us know about any trips you have planned.

    Awesome scenery ! I’ve been driving past Illiciliwaet for years but it’s now on my bucket list. What are you using for making the videos ? An iPhone or digital camera ? Did you need a National Park pass for staying at Glacier then, or do you need one now in 2022 ? Even the Blanket Creek PP looks like a great campground …. Thx for sharing it ?

    • @hikenrv
      @hikenrv  2 года назад

      Glad you enjoyed! Check out our recent video when we returned; weather much better and a bit more hikes! Yes, you need a national parks pass to stop in any of the parks, you can actually buy at the campground. We tend to use different cameras (including an iPhone) and usually list in our description.

    • @hikenrv

      It is a wonderful area...and hoping we can go back with some sun! Trail we were on was easy-moderate, but there are several and difficultly varies depending on how far you want to explore.

    Great video!! We are planning a trip for next summer to Canada. How was it parking an RV in the provinicial parks and national parks? Just wondering about parking it while visiting places with the RV before we check into our RV campground. We were just in Michigan and they had lots of places to park your RV. Following along on your journey!! We also post videos of our RV travels on our channel. Melissa from RV Rolling with MJ

    • @hikenrv

      Glad you enjoyed! We haven’t found an issue parking our van anywhere while visiting. Often national parks have dedicated RV parking so that makes it easy, less often with BC Provincial parks, but we haven’t had an issue. Biggest challenge is that the parks can get very busy, so any type of parking can sometimes be a challenge! Thanks for the comment and we will check out your channel! Safe travels! 🚐
