Of course when driving I charge this battery with my trailer hitch plug. It works great. The slide is a must have and I got the outer cover also. For the money I think its going to be great. It is so nice not having to worry about ice. I also take icecream with me...that alone is enough. Lol

    Great content and well-executed mate. I was wondering to do the same on my 2019 4X4 Ranger, so I've noticed you were talking about the FX4 suspensions, will just replacing the front suspensions with FX4 work?

    • @SolaOutdoors
      @SolaOutdoors  4 года назад +2

      Thanks, my guy! The front suspension on an FX4 is mainly just different struts and maybe different springs and would be a bolt on to any non FX4 truck. They're less stiff for more offroad comfort, which I can confirm rides pretty nice on a back road. They're not as nice as Bilsteins or any other purpose built shock, but it's better than the regular shocks that come on the truck. Since it's a bolt on swap, the lift kit works for either setup

    Hey guys great video. My question is that you say " the only reason someone wouldnt do this mode, is if they dont have an FX4" I have a Sport model, but wanted to do this mod. What will the issue be? Will the front end then be higher than the rear? Sorry for the newbie question.. thank you

    • @SolaOutdoors
      @SolaOutdoors  3 года назад

      We probably could have worded that better, but what we meant by that was the shocks/struts on a non-FX4 are more tuned for on-road use. If you're planning on doing some off-roading, you'd likely want to upgrade your shocks while you're in there and get something like a Bilstein 5100 instead. If you're sticking mostly to pavement or not doing serious off-roading, this kit would net you the same 2.5" of lift in the front. I'd recommend measuring your fender height front and rear to make sure it would truly level you out

    A spacer is NOT a lift

    • @JonBecker81
      @JonBecker81 3 года назад

      How so? There’s different types of lift. I guess since they didn’t do anything to the back it’s just a level but you can use spacers up front and blocks or shackles in the back to get a lift. It’s more form over function but still a lift. I personally would go with a suspension lift/level but not more than 3 inches. I think these trucks look stupid with a 6 inch lift.
