Was going to get a Model 3 performance but waiting for the refreshed version coming out in Q1
The most sustainable car is the car you already own. That being said, if it's time to buy a new car, and if you can afford an electric car then they are more sustainable on a per mile basis vs. their gas and h2 equivalents, even after accounting for the emission in the power sector and in the mining process to obtain lithium. Also dont discount the public health aspect, most smog in cities is due to transportation, not heavy industry.
100% agree. The key to greener travel is lowering consumerism.

Unless you only drive it around the city and live in a place with a good charging network, a hybrid engine still makes more sense.
Nice video. I noticed you didn't mention any of the Autopilot features. Do you find they are beneficial in your daily life? And what are your thoughts on the enhanced/full-self driving packages?
are you using a sun shade on your sun roof? if so can you tell me which one you bought?
He said in the video he recommends ceramic tinting. That is the same thing I did with my model 3 as well. It's pricey compared to regular tints but removes the need for a sun shade roof as it blocks over 95% of heat coming into the cabin. Highly recommend. This is coming from Texas FYI.
What % tint do you have on your windows? Just got the same one and am yet to tint

I've never been a fan personally. I've always thought that they're cars for people who like phones and laptops more than they do cars. The straightline speed is fun until it isnt and then it's kind of just a big sedan.
That said i can see the benefits for those who aren't motoring enthusiasts. Atleast in the US where the infrastructure is decent, where i live you basically have to travel from charging point to charging point if you're planning on a long journey because they're quite few and far between.
Big respect for mentioning the sustainability marketing ploy and damage of lithium mining. I see far, far too many Tesla tribalists that completely ignore this.
