Its his nonchalance that is so incredible. So casual. 'I nearly died but a cup of tea anyone' sort of vibe. No sure if crashing is a skill I wish to practice.
Funny story, I just got my first MTB (Norco Optic) and 99Bikes took all their High Performing staff away for a few days. I rode MonkeyDH and had a fairly decent fall. Watching it now, I would be more cautious then I was then.
Nice are to ride with some pretty gnarly sections, nicely cleared at 6:25 btw! Glad Shane went away unscathed in that crash, that could have gone horribly worse easily!
Good vid. Yep, this is within my area, yep, don't learn much watching Moi Moi, his tyres rarely touch the ground anyway, and how did huck yeah survive that!?
You're lucky to have Awaba as a local 🤟. How did the Huckster survive ? Ive watched it dozens of times and still not sure. Impact enough to bend aluminium, but not ribs. Go figure 🤷🏼♂️. He's a cool cat 🤘🏽
these are my local tracks and i still struggle to ride monkey a-line, but you didnt do the full track, but im impressed you did it first go (the gopro does it no justice) my friends were filming when he crashed on the step up
Cheers Duckster. I hope you subbed Shane - he only did it for the sub🤣. "We didn't do the whole track' - do you mean we missed a whole section or just some features? Thanks.
Hi Mal, geat video. Im going to be travelling from Brisbane down to Jolly Nose, and other then boomers I haven't ridden anything between these two locations. What top mtb locations would you recommend stopping of at on the way? I hear wedding bells is meant to be good.
Hey Max, so many choices but yes Coffs at Arrawarra is a highlight. I did a road trip up the coast a year ago, and the vid might serve as a bit of a sampler for you. ruclips.net/video/XsJKXjzWdGc/видео.html. But my top recommended are Kiwarrak at Taree and Duck Creek at Lismore. You're already scheduled for Port. If you want to head further south and have the ability to self shuttle or you have an eBike - Ourimbah and Awaba are worth the time. For trails around greater Brissy, check out JBJ Mtb. And if you haven't ridden Hiddenvale yet, then book it in for when you come back - just to soften the blow of getting home.
Hi Max, I'm from Brissy and I've been exploring that stretch a bit. Duck Creek is great but must be dry, Wedding bells is small but sweet, I like Jacks ridge - different. I would skip the sawmill & cows with guns & kalateenee. Taree is good if you get that far south
Woah, Huck’s crash on that step up. So glad to see he walked away fine!

Consistently great vids coming out Carl. This one was great too! Loving the editing and awesome riding. That techy stuff looked full on!
Thanks Ryan Yep Monkey was serious business, but looking forward to getting back to it 🤟
i was the one who filmed the step up glad you okay
Well I am, my mate Shane miraculously skipped away from it. Incredible to watch !
Monkey DH actually looks steep & scary 😮 unlike most RUclips videos that don’t show how steep it actually is. Great effort on that one lads
Cheers Chuck 🤟. Always a challenge to show a trail as it actually is. Thankyou
nice riding there guys
Cheers 🤟. Monkey and Faulk Line were great challenges. Cant wait to go back

Monkey DH demands respect. Though we quite recklessly careened down Narcissist yesterday 🤣
@@malmtb we weren’t ready for what was to come!!
@@Thecoffeekook that was the reckless part 🤣

Was great to test myself on this gnarly DH. And yeah such a relief to see Shane walk away from this one 🤟
Great video MAL
Cheers Charles, glad you were part of this day. I'm keen to go back.

@@malmtb you only missed about 250m with about 5 jumps and one or two cool features and yes I subbed
Jumps and features + what I left undone on this day - we have to go back! What to come out for a lap?
