I'm glad you got that first fish. It's pretty special to get a trout like that from a very small stream. Beautiful creek and a beautiful fish. Congratulations !
Hi Robbie, Top shelf vid and beatiful brownie. Although there's nothing wrong with taking a fish for the table, i love the care you take, ensuring any fish you decide to release has the best chance of recovering. Good onya mate.👍
Beautiful creek and no skunk. That Brown was gorgeous, but not a good sign when fish are dead. Glad that snake just got scared too, you be careful. Nice job and thanks for sharing!
What a beautiful location, Robbie. Those fish were so wary! And some dead ones too. I loved the nice brown you got first up 👍🏼. Bugger that snake 🐍 lol 😂
Love the content Robbie, you can count on me on me watching all of ur vids I just love them soo much and you have taught me so much, enough that I coaught my first yella and reddie the other day, and that was all because of you ❤❤❤❤
Hiya rob Well done , and once again you found fish where most would pass... SNAKE ALERT !!! At that point I would have been up the nearest tree😱 Cheers rob Hope everyone is in good form . 😎🏴🎣
Good vid Robbie love these sort of videos u r doing these videos at the right place and at the right time how goods that water have a good one Robbie and hope more many more great videos
Very cool Robbie love the clear water if you’re ever around tabletop you’ve got to drop in biggest yabbies I’ve every seen in my dam living with a heap of red fin too
Are you fishing over Easter Robby. I be up in tallangatta over Easter would love to meet ya. Love watching you and Ur daughter go fishing. When I fish up in tallangatta I catch crap off the bank there near the hospital great fighting fish. Well I hope I bump into you if Ur up that way. Have a great day.
High water temp would’ve killed that fish Robbie. I can tell by the algal growth on the rocks, that’s warm water. Good to see you doing a bit more fly fishing.
Good stuff Robbie. I reckon those fish that turn and face you to take the fly need a bit more time to turn away before you strike. I tell you what though it is hard to have the patience to let them
Thanks mate, I agree 100%. I didn't realise that until I was editing the video. I'm not a great fly fisherman and am learning as I go, but I think I need to try and have the fly drifting down toward the trout for that very reason.
Robbie, with that first fish you missed, he was facing you when he took the fly. For this reason you have to delay the strike. If you strike too soon you simply pull the fly out of the fish's mouth. Wait for him to turn on the fly before striking. I know this is hard, when you can see the fly take but it's the only way.
I reckon you did pretty well to even raise one fish in that clear water Robbie and you did get one 'on the board'. I can see why trout do it so tough once the water drops and the temperatures rise. Always a shame to see any dead fish.
@@Brfisho Yeah, a bit below my region. I am up in Canberra. Treat it like most rivers, hit the deeper pools, the areas downstream of tree falls and snags and rock bars and mud banks. And undercut banks.
Whilst fishing those walks just fly by until you realise how long the hike back is then it's oh s**t..some lovely trout as you said though bit warm to be actively hunting for old trout & those creeks are impossible to fish at night when they are feeding up unfortunately
Thanks mate. Haha You're not wrong. The further I walk the more I dread the wall back, but the lure of the next bend makes it hard to turn back. LOL 😂😂
Mate, some of those small pools would fish a lot better if a few bigger rocks were put together to form a small dam. Guaranteed to hold bigger fish too.( just talking about my favourite hobbies: fishing and dam building. Cheers
Hi mate, I think they die in most cases. They may recent to the deep pools and survive if the creek doesn't completely dry up, but if it does, they will die.
That creek and fish need some help from the clouds! Could use a good flushing out! All that gunk algae growing in the creek isn't good. When water gets low like that pollution from farms and decaying stuff builds up causing the water to get pretty gross.
😂 the Bible says that men's hearts will fail them for fear for the things that are coming upon the face of this whole world are you ready have you received Jesus in your heart because his perfect love will cast out all fear receive Jesus now repent and turn from your sins with a broken and contrite heart he will not despise amen 🙏 hallelujah
You should do a calendar Rob with all of the beautiful places you go fishing pleasure to watch 😊👍
Thank you so much for your great idea and kind words mate.
I would go for a calendar as well!

I can't believe how clear that water is! What a great creek. You might be right it may fish better in cooler weather. Entertaining as always!
Thanks mate. Hopefully the cooler weather that is about to hit is helps the water temperature drop a lot.

Good onya mate.👍
Thank you so much Bruce. 👍
Do you think you could do a video on your fly rod, reel, line and flys. And also how to get started with fly fishing? Great video!
Thanks so much mate. Definitely a great idea for a video topic, hopefully I can film that in the winter when the fishing is a bit slower.
What a beautiful place to fish & enjoy, nature at its finest.
Thanks mate. 👍👍
Beautiful creek and no skunk. That Brown was gorgeous, but not a good sign when fish are dead. Glad that snake just got scared too, you be careful. Nice job and thanks for sharing!
Thanks Larry. Even though I suspected it was a snake I still stood there and fished for about 5 minutes. Haha 😂
Great looking country there!
Sure is amazing mate.
Wow! What an epic creek, thanks for sharing mate.
Thanks for watching mate. 👍👍
Location location wow what a beautiful place great stuff Robbie 👍
Thanks Sharon, it really is a beautiful spot.
What a beautiful location, Robbie. Those fish were so wary! And some dead ones too. I loved the nice brown you got first up 👍🏼. Bugger that snake 🐍 lol 😂

Haha thanks Mike. Snakes don't bother me too much as long as I see them BEFORE I step on them. LOL
I hope you're all having a great day mate.
Back to enjoying your terrific videos

Nice one, ripper spot too! 😁🎣
Well always a win when you catch some fish 👍
That was a nice brownie
Keep up the awesome work mate
Thanks so much mate. 👍
Great work Rob. Skinny water is tough and it doesn't get tougher than downstream takes, so hard to get a hook up.
Thanks so much mate. 👍👍
Awesome vid
Looks like good gold country 😎
Thanks mate. 👍👍
Unreal.. Thanks so much for sharing Mate!! Water is Gin clear, please protect your waterways to be like this.
Cheers
Rob
Thanks Rob. I agree. All waterways need to be protected. They are the life blood of the earth.
Well done mate, awesome little stream you’ve got there. I went trout fishing on the weekend, all I caught was CRAYS!😂
Thanks buddy. Haha Crays are still a lot of fun. LOL

Thanks so much Pat, that is so awesome. Tabletop is a lovely area.
I thought that 1st dead fish might have been hit by a bird, but when you also found that dead blacky, I'd say it was HOT water got to them!
Thanks UF. I'm not sure. I would say that for the trout but the blackfish should be able to tolerate much warmer water than the trout.
@@robbiefishing Mmm I don't think so, there is a REASON you only find black fish in montane areas!
Gee that's tiny waterway

Hey Robbie, it looks like a nice way to tickle some trout in clear mountain water🐟
Haha I reckon it would be in the shallower pools, although I'm not sure if the legalities of doing that. LOL

a pity too see dead fish
Thanks Pete. Yeah that was a shame, hopefully the water starts to cool shortly. There's some much cooler weather on the horizon now.

Thanks Frank, I agree. I hate seeing dead fish anywhere unless they are carp.
In the back ground noise I could hear panthers on the growl.😂
Hahaha
Hi Robbie I’m going on a trip to the Murrumbidgee river to have a fish on the kayak do you have any tips?
That's awesome mate. I've never been there. Just make sure you are fishing as close to the snags as possible mate.
Where on the Bidgee? I know the upper Bidgee well, not so much the lower reaches.

Straight on the BBQ!

If these creeks dry up, do the fish know and get out of there?

At least this creek wasn't as overgrown as some were you come out the other end looking like you fought 50 cats

Tassie?
No mate, Victoria. 👍
That creek and fish need some help from the clouds! Could use a good flushing out! All that gunk algae growing in the creek isn't good. When water gets low like that pollution from farms and decaying stuff builds up causing the water to get pretty gross.
I'm praying that we get some rain this week mate. A flush will certainly do it good.

If the water is warm enough to distress the fish, you shouldn't really be bothering them.
