- What an EPIC sunrise bite window this was. WOW I caught 10 fish made up of 5 different species before heading home for breakfast. I even got to keep two lovely fish for the table. Freshwater fishing just doesn't get much better than this.

Well done Robbie, I used to love getting up early to fish but now I've got 78 year old eyes and I think my knees, hip and back are at least 10 years older. I still wake up early, my mind wants me to go fishing but my body doesn't so I go fishing via good folk like you, take care, Norfolk, UK, Ray

Morning is my favourite time of the day to fish, but as I get older it is getting harder to drag my fat butt out of bed. 😅😅
Might be thinking of over the Christmas holidays I might try one of the lakes in the highlands or head to lake Eucumbene since the trout fishing reports have been amazing. I would like to meet you one day and hopefully chuckle a line in

I thought I worked out the Maccas in My local until they started going off at midday randomly. Had some of my best sessions midday.

The Macquarie Perch is an endangered species & Silver Perch is threatened species in the Nepean & its tributaries, but the silver's are making a come back since 3yrs of floods as they stock them in Warragamba dam and the International Regatta centre(which is next to & connected to river)
That's so great to hear that they are making a comeback. These Maccas are really making a comeback here too and it's amazing.
@@robbiefishing in the 90s you'll catch a Silver for every 50-75 Bass then you had more chance of finding rocking horse poo for the garden than a Silver in the last 20yrs😅hence the breeding program in the Regatta Centre but the Maccas only ever seen a handful in 30+yrs but trout fisho's who wade the creeks of the Blue Mountains spot a few

I used to bury them in my veggie beds , awesome fertiliser.

Thanks so much mate. 👍 I usually just kill mine and then kick them back into the water for the yabbies, crayfish, water rats and birds to feed on. I do use them as Yabby and crayfish bait occasionally if I need them.

Not sure if it was Macquarie Perch or not but think we used to catch them in lake makoan when I was a kid
Hey mate, when was that roughly? In the 70's and 80's it was full of redfin, and in the 90's it was full of yellowbelly, which were usually very pale in colour thanks to the dirty water.
I think you were on breakfast buffet duty for the fish this morning. Lol😂

I went to the golbourn myself behind my place with dad and his girlfriend. We hit a JACKPOT!
Bumped into 2 cod, 1 silver, 4 carp and 3 yellas (great size).
Dad gets a 37, dads girl gets a 36 and I get a 34 but the funniest thing is: my silver yella (it was a yella yes 😅) was soo silvery that I’m like; I’ve never seen a yella look like that. I think it’s because I got the yella around sand. Super fun, great feed. Do you also have a catch and cook yella planned?

Nice fish ,went up to Horsham over the weekend and got 11,carp, 2 yellowbelly only 20cm 28cm 1 redfin and 3 catfish biggest went 40 cm and 5 yabbies . Any catfish in the rivers up their ?

No catties here mate. There's a few in some spots in small numbers, but not in the main rivers.
I was the same this morning chucked a couple lines in the Yarra and caught 4 carp and missed 3x as many in a 2 hour window from 6-8am then nothing after wards carp were between 15-40cm on the old jan jacs

Also im back from my fishing trip at Moreton Bay it went very well. I caught Snapper, Trevally, Bream, mudcrabs, pufferfish, prawns and a 5 foot Shovelnose Shark

Nice video. I have never understood people that get the squirts when someone keeps a feed of fish. If you're not breaking any laws, what's the problem other than the fact you're doing something different to them?
Spot on mate. I don't understand it either. Fisheries are constantly monitoring fish numbers and will take action if needed.
Black water events, droughts and Greenies are a far bigger threat to fishing than a bloke keeping a couple for the plate. 👍👍
