I have never driven a race car on a race track, dry or in the rain for that matter. But I do live in Florida and have owned sports cars and of course, driven them like a race car in the dry and the wet. --( Unresponsibly racing them in the dry+wet )-- I have had to drive in hurricanes 🌀 literally and in monsoons and heavy rain conditions where you can't see the car in front of you. This new rain 🌧 is very damm good. Personally I feel like the rain driving feels more realistic than driving in the dry. Hats off to iRacing.
That’s how it is in real life in heavy rain. Keep in mind iRacing is testing heavy rain scenarios in week 13, it will be very rare to happen in officials
Not sure what ur asking. Catching a slide on wet pavement is easier than on dry for iRacing, at least for me. If I did similar sideways drift in rain the same way on dry conditions it’s over. I can never bring the car back.
ACC doesn’t have a grippier wet line, all pros just use the normal racing line but it has less grip than in the dry, it also doesn’t have puddles where they should be, I wouldn’t say it’s a realistic experience at all

Good to see video's from John again a great addition to the team.
My first impressions are very positive. Although racing online in heavy rain is almost impossible due to the lack of visibility
Yes, it's impossible to see the car in front of you.
But I also can't tell if the spray behind me is mine or another car behind me.

@@drchtctreal rain lights are definitely more visible than what we’ve seen so far. But the spray and other lack of visibility is legit!
The thinking man’s SuperGT! 😁👍
It’s really nice to be able to catch slides in the wet. Would love this level of control in normal dry conditions.
Control it then?

More time to react, and easier to get sideways in the first place. Always a fun combo!
@@raceanywhere good point
