Thank you again for another great video and comments on this issue. To be honest the biggest question is what can we as the rugby loving community do. I wish there was a way to stand up to world rugby, to say enough is enough. Let the ref have their power back, let the game be played as it always should be. I agree so wholeheartedly that rugby is not just about forwards and backs but the two areas combined. It is a beautiful game. One of the biggest ways to grow the game is to develop all these countries that have the will, the players, and just want to be part of the platform. Look at the world cup, some great rugby from Portugal and others, but they need to be part of competition, to be heard. Ultimately this will grow the game massively. It's honestly not rocket science this. Every rugby nation has it strengths NZ, great with ball in hand, SA with their forwards, France with their flare, Ireland with attack and so on. It is what makes this game so unique. Not one size fits all. I really hope rugby stays the beautiful game. Sort out the few issues like I mentioned in your previous video. Anyways enough said. Hopefully we as the rugby loving community will stand firm together.

removing the scrum would just kill rugby union. insane decision if they are doing so. frankly the scrum shouldn't be touched at all.

I agree with the points you made 100% especially the lineout since other channels for some reason are happy with the lineout change.
It's just ridiculous that a skew throw will be allowed.

Who would want to become a ref in rugby these days? Far too many rules and rule changes which causes so much confusion even for rugby experts. There is also far too much intrusion by the TMO which is disrupting the flow of the game. I remember the days when the refs decision was final and whether he got it right or wrong the players just got on with the game.
As much as the quality and skills of rugby have improved hugely over the last few decades it seems to be going backwards now which will be to the games' detriment just at a time when rugby is gaining ground in popularity worldwide.

Absolutely agree. World Rugby are putting an incredible burden on referees with the constant rule changes whilst simultaneously undermining their authority on the pitch with the increased use of the TMO.

@@RugbyMerlin Yes it's gone from where a ref makes a decision that he feels to be correct to where he's now afraid to make a decision and leaves it to technology instead. Crazy!
I can understand the health and safety protocols in place because it is a high impact contact sport. There will always be injuries some quite serious but overall I think the game has got a very good safety record considering how physical it is. Players go into the game in great physical shape knowing the risks and that's their decision. Otherwise it would be boring.
Players don't want this and it's they who go out there and play the game.. And also the fans who dig deep into their pockets to pay to see good tough competitive games don't want this either.
We have to stand up to these overpaid politically correct pen pushers at World Rugby.
