Good Job Steve. I am just about done working on oil. Haven't had a call on oil for about two weeks know. Working on a lot of walk in coolers and freezers.
Temp running about 70, now it's about 45 to 50, going to drop down in the 40,s this weekend and then warm up again. Never a dull moment here I work on so many things.
Steve thanks for all the great videos appreciate them all a quick question I know they have an a nozzle and a bee nozzle which one is solid which one is a coon?
I really really like your videos ! I have been doing the cleaning and the maintaining of my oil burner for years now. One question I have, the expansion tank on the oil boiler/burner and when I follow the pipe that is connected to the expansion tank it has a round cylindrical thing connected to it. I noticed you tightening it in the video(it has a bicycle air valve with a little cap on it. Well mine is leaking water out of the top of the cylindrical thing near the bicycle air valve(I wish I knew what that thing is called?). I hear air in my pipes. I have hot water cast iron radiators. My question is #1. Do I just try tightening that cylindrical thing to stop the water from coming out of that valve? Actually I believe the water is coming out of the little bicycle valve. # 2. I thought I was always supposed to keep that little cap loose to allow the air to come out ? # 3. I did try and bleed air out of each radiator in each room but the air keeps coming back. Is air somehow entering the system somewhere? I hope my questions are clear enough?
For those General Filters shoulnt you be using general 1A filters i find the fb4 too big for those filtters, do you clean the flue pass and chamber? Just some observation...
Nice job Steve! I always enjoy the videos, I feel like I'm there working with you. The camera shots are always outstanding. Oh Also f#@k Haters Who hate.
Did you see the video on RUclips of the boiler explosion inside a house? It was also on the news. apparently the damn thing was installed in the 1960's which makes it over 50 years old. I have a big fear of old boilers they should all be replaced or risk it exploding lol. Luckily nobody was hurt in that house
SkyLimitTV no i did not watch it .sounds like the relief valve might have been faulty or someone blocked it of with a plug . a boiler will never blow up the relief valve will reliece first .and dump water out, relieving pressure
Another quality job Steven! Any of that fudge left over??? By the way, don't "winterize" that snowblower yet, you may need it this coming Friday night into early Saturday morning. Do you need my address to help out a fellow HVAC tech in a snow storm?
Brad1237202 all the fudge is gone i gave it away so i didn;t eat it all if i would of know you guys wanted some i would have saved some and mailed it out to you guys ..
I take it you still have snow on the ground. We have been in the mid. 80 for about 3 week now. Back to running for bad run caps, fan motors and over charged systems. It get the old man out of the house

Hi Steve when does the really cold weather come to your part of the USA
Steve, so the water leaves the boiler on the supply hot and comes back on the return hot?
+hllywd964 at first it comes back cold after it runs a bit yes it comes back hot , maybe drops 10 to 15 degrees
ok, thanks

At 10:38 it look like a pirate hook flipping the labels. LOL
+Luis Diaz i think your right
is there enough vents on that boiler ?????????
kevin kellner a ton of vents ,
Steve your "bicycle valves" are air purges, closing them off prevents them from from doing just that, purging air from those zone lines.
Not really a need for 20 of those suckers. The ones that remain open should be plenty

USMC 1961 still snow on the grown yes but its melting maybe a nother week and it will be gone
