I was to until I read your comment and started laughing. It's just nice to know I'm not the only one who is so dang sensitive out there 😆 👍
He is a great man best of luck to Herm. Damn someone was definitely cutting onions! )'':
I feel you Brother! 💯💯👏🙏 Now, That's a Player's Coach!!! God Bless 💯🙏😇
rare stand up guy, good luck coach
The impact you make on people’s lives last forever. Awesome! Wonderful job espn for Herm
Mr Edwards is a class act at life, not just football.
Herm 2020!
This send off lets you know how much of an impact he had on the people he worked with. You haven't seen ESPN analysts this emotional since Stuart Scott passed.
Herm Edwards is that uncle that is cool but keeps you in line... Always kicking knowledge and always fun to be around.. Master motivator.. Damn this made me cry😢😢
Herm I can’t wait to see you back at ESPN this time next year. You still have a lot to teach don’t quit now.
First class man in every way. Good luck Herm!
I always loved hearing Herm speak. He's definitely a coach I would love to play for if I ever played the game.
Nothing but respect.
Herm made NFL live exciting with his humor and wit, Good luck Herm, those college kids will be better men and individuals, just because of your presence regardless of the record of the team.
Classic!!! Awesome!!! Heartfelt!!! Love to see people love each other!!! We will miss you coach!!! Don't know what you got until it is gone!!!
Wow this was powerful. Much luck to Herm.. Great guy.. Truly loved by everyone...
Really gonna miss Coach Edwards. Always kept it real
Hope he does well at AzState
Im an SEC man, but when i look west ill be a SUN DEVIL. Great guy
@@bluegrassreb1 Appreciate the respect. Of course... the SEC demands respect when it comes to college football.
He’s well on his way. Best recruiting class of his coaching tenure so far
Herm is the realest..Good luck in the future
Herm is my all time favorite! God bless and continue to do great things
Emotional, very well respected.... good luck coach!!!
As a fan of Herm since he coached the jets I am now an ASU fan he always kept it real on TV and as a coach.. nothing but respect
That man is loved and gives love back..It don’t matter what color you are or we’re your from you can fell that when you talk to him..The world needs more men like him
Brought tears to my eyes, a great motivator.
Thank you Herm for your time sharing your football stories on ESPN.
The NFL couldn't find a spot for a guy like this though?? Dirty game...good luck on making a lesser college matter more...rooting for Herm...one of my favorite portrayals of manhood to ever to be on TV
King In My Own Mind NFL Teams wanted to hire him but the fit was not right. He is too Stand Up of a MAN, to say publicly which ones contacted him.. College players will run through walls for him, once they realise he Loves each and every one of them. The man can recruit, AZ State needs 4 and 5 star players. I hope AZ State starts killing it.
Full Body Joe Absolutely!
King In My Own Mind Yeah man, Let's see what happens after 2 years, any new coach/recruiter needs 2-3 years for his players and coaches to make a difference. ASU has kept all the offensive coaches. That offense was top 15 in stats, With no 4 or 5 star recruits on it. Now they need to get the defensive coaches set. Maybe he can get an ex NFL defensive coach. Or Dungy can recommend a good young defensive coach if Bennet leaves. People forget that Herm and Tony Dungy still have there feet in college and NFL Ball. 😆
Full Body Joe I want to see what transfers he may be able to pull right away as well...He is the best image of what a coach should be for young men...2-3 years... I hope they value him
i mean look he did coach the jets and chiefs and I'm sure he got calls every off season to interview somewhere but i think he wanted the challenge of coaching a college team and doing something new.
I must admit I cried too
No way you could not love Herm. Best wishes on your endeavors.
He is gonna sure be missed best of luck Herm!!!
Herm good luck with your new job! You're a classy dude. ✌😊
I like Herm, he was a mainstay on NFL Live.As a ex player/head coach, he told it as is, uncompromised.I hope he comes to FS1.
Tru metalhead on Maui ey he's the head coach of Arizona State now
Very sweet farewell to someone deserves it plus more... wish u nothing but the best Coach!!!
Awesome guy. What player wouldn't want him as their coach, such energy, passion, and motivation. ASU is going to rock. It says a lot that they are having a farewell show for him, can't remember anytime that happened for another analyst.
Whenever he talks, I listen. I absolutely love this guy.
I fell in love with this guy when he said"you play to win the game❤️" U R LOVED
damn that almost made me cry
Wow... That was real. Hope the best for u Coach...
It's not about tweets, Instagram, or any of that other madness. This is what its about man; love & building lifelong bonds.
That is a real old school man right there. God Bless him and I hope he does well. Just not against my team. Respect Coach!!!
This guy is the GOAT Motivator, and is a hell of a man.

"We're gonna make him an offer he can't refuse......" - Zona St.

What a fucking complement "9 years has been a lifetime for me" love
This is straight up AWESOME!!!
Whoever watched this and didn’t cry will never cry😪.
Respect! Love coach. You can just tell what kind of a man he is from the people's responses to having spent time with him. Best of luck to him in the Pac 12. Coach Edwards about to make life miserable for my Cal Bears. #YouPlayToWinTheGame
I teared up.
Shout out to herm he’s the man
I wish him well! I don’t know if his old-school mindset will work in college today. But maybe it will. Good luck to Herm!
Graham's staff is staying so Herm won't be dealing as much with the X's and O's. I'm cautiosly optimistic.
Roger B that's how you know it's his passion, just because they younger, don't make them better. These young kids watch espn, anybody that watches espn knows who this man is, what type of man he is, and what he stands for. Watch the impact.....
Tell that to bill snyder and hes doing pretty good having a pretty much winning season every year and that man is 78.
I don't hear/see anyone saying that about Nick Saban. And He's not the only coach of that age
Man I’m going miss Herm loved him on espn
Im happy for him
Two years later there’s still the stench of onions.
Wishing you nothing but the best coach Herm
What an honor it would be to play for Coach Herm.

Herm Goatwards
Lamar Junior *Edwards
Lamar Junior Damn Straight. Let's get this done. Prove everyone wrong Herm. 👍
Herm is the man. Wish he was my coach💯
Looking back in 2020 as an ASU fan, it's been two seasons in the Herm era. What he's done for ASU football is immeasurable. He's changed the culture completely, brought in three years of Top-25 recruiting classes, hired a coaching staff that is passionate for the game and guiding the young men to become not just better players but better people. The players are fully bought into Herm, they believe in him and they believe Herm is there to help them more than helping himself, and they're totally right.
Herm's had a long career, he's now just in cruise control, enjoying life and investing in his legacy and making a difference. He doesn't need accolades, he's not looking to win just so he can get a better job somewhere else in a couple years. His position as the head coach is ideal because he has offense coordinator and defense coordinator that he can trust to focus on their role, Herm can work on the overall direction plan and building relationships with his players and recruits.
While his two seasons have not produced a significant gain like the Pac-12 Championship or Top-10 ranks, he's getting there. It really takes 3-4 years for a new coach's system to take hold over the previous coach. If things continue up as they are now, Herm could have ASU right there in the Top-4 in the Pac-12, and Top-20 nationally every year.
I wasn't sure about Herm at first when he was just hired, it was mostly the awkward press conference and seeing how the idea would translate on the field. I'm a believer now though and even an even more personally invested, passionate fan of ASU football.
RPG, tell me how you feel now as an ASU fan, because I am an ASU fan and have different opinions right now but want to see what you say?
ASU Mens basketball is now RANKED #1! Lets go coach, Herm. Rooting for u, brotha at my old school ASU
Good luck Coach ❤ (I knew I was gone tear up)
"Your name on the back of your jersey....belongs to your parents. Don't screw that up!" I'm most definitely going to use that phrase. Herm's the man!
I hope to great like this....
Even do Mr. Herm Edwards is a Former Philadelphia Eagle I have nothing but respect & Love that gentleman even times he is harder on my boyz but is truthful about my secondary except for Darren Woodson whom he has great respect for and former colleague
Good luck Herm !
I remember a pre-game speech he gave his team once when he said he had one big hit left in him and he wished he could take the field with them. That was very powerful.
Any potential college player should consider any school Herm is coaching at.
Good Luck, Coach!
