Oh man I was there! What a night! When the lights went up halfway thru the show, Robin was putting his hair back in a pony, I caught his eye and I mouthed the words "oh my God I LOVE you!" ( mind you I'm 33 at the time).. and he smiled and blew me a quick kiss. I still can feel it! Lol
And at 5:06, after that killer solo & riffing, it just launches into a higher gear...amazing!! Is that a key change? Modulation? Someone tell me! Damn...kills me with every single listen.
What is wrong with that crowd????i watch U2 Videos and Bono is singing songs like " beautiful Day, or in God's Country and the crowd I going insane??????.....And Robin and the boys are Rocking and they just stand there????.....I'm embarrassed ....
Why don't they play this song anymore? It's like a top 5 for them - doesn't make sense - I realize the subject matter is 70's teenage angst and alienation - still relevant today - Robin can still sing it - but I'm not sure about this sped-up version of it all, pretty terrible really.
