- This song's been stuck in my head a lot recently and I wanted to do something like this. Enjoy.

Can't blame them. The spirits have a great taste in music.
:')
You mean haunted spirits from the 30’s
@@StudMacher96 I guess. I mean the spirits of Overlook specifically.
Earth this song beats some of the stuff being passed off as music today.
What music?
This wasn't on your recommended. You searched for this. It isn't that something is calling you here. You've always been here
unfortunately nah
I could listen to this song, forever and ever and ever and ever
Same here.
This song is scary but addictive
For the past nearly five years I've struggled NOT to listen to this. It's REALLY addictive.
It’s so peaceful and relaxing man
I can see a little bit how it may be scary but it really is addicting. Makes me think about my love interest, erie gmod maps, the early 20th century, and (i'd like to believe) the person I was before this life. A ww2 veteran who likes coffee and tunes like this.
@@CapitalismInSteel Thank You for your service!
👍🏻 to the music, but many 👎🏻 to being constantly interrupted with ads.
I got to get drunk to this. Not just ordinary drinking , I got to drink like 'Jack Torrance' and dance around the house in my underwear, listening to this extraordinarily, beautiful musical madness. Thank you for sharing this Roblegodude.
I've been slowly going insane listening to this song all the time for the past five years.
Good idea :) Perhaps I will do the same on one of these dark, cold, snowy, and a little isolated Dicember evenings. Another option, perhaps a little more entertaining, is a lovely drink in our hotel "Warszawa", a modern, luxurious building from the thirties, recently revamped as an exclusive 5* art-deco-styled hotel (the bar's very much like Lloyd's and they do serve good drinks) and/or to the old (the first to come to the city of Warsaw after the fall of the iron curtain) Marrott's "Panorama", with a nice view over our post-war gloomy Palace of Culture. Once it was the roof of our downtown.
Marty, well, you know, you're right about that. I also feel like I'm drunk when I listen to this track (but not in a bad way, though).
@@beatabaduchowska1690 sounds like a perfect place to sit down with a cigar and a scotch or 3.
Ever get a beej from a furry?
I love how it echos hauntingly. Perfect for Ghost Hunting!
This brings out the inner Jack in me. There is a little pycho in all of us.
truly some
As an autistic person I have definitely had my jack moments. Every time I have an autistic tantrum rage I start to act like Jack like when Jack angrily walks through the hallways knocking over plates or being verbally abusive to Wendy. Maybe Jack is just autistic.
The Hotel Is Alive.
Forever, And Ever, And Ever.
Wish I could go back to this era and live out the remainder of my life there.
me too man. Me too.
But Greg, you’ve always been the caretaker.
@@toxicmelon6836 LOL, maybe so.
You should know sir. You've already been there.
Yeah sure without penicillin and expecting any time soon WW2
Listening to this while working graveyard in the stockroom alone at Walmart unlocks secret emotions.
Sounds so Relaxing and feels like We're in Jazz Cafe.
This music beats some of the stuff being written today! If you look closely, you can see Jack sitting in the chair.
The Caretaker: Ah yes, what a beautiful song to forget things to.
Wonderful 1930s Romantic song. 1930s music is some of the best music ever. How such a sad decade to live in produced some of the best music is amazing.
It was the great era of crooning and Al Bowlly was one of the best.
poor guy stepped on a landmine
I can se the Titanic sinking to this
lmao
me too
i feel so sad for the singer (look him up) this song was perfect for the shining, and i agree, it's a good song to get drunk to in your own home 🥰😍
I’m listening to this while reading The Shining
You brave soul.
SAME
I should have done this when I read the book. Fuck.
this is not all the music
I love whatever genre of music this is. It feels like I almost got some sorta weird connection to it cuz of how addicting it is
Big Band. Classics.
1940’s big band. If you go to pandora and look up 1940s music they sometimes play it.
1940's? It's got 1930's written all over it. And believe me, there's a BIG difference!@@demetriospappas1112
Midnight with the stars and you
Midnight and a rendez-vous
Your eyes held a message tender
Saying, "I surrender all my love to you"
Midnight brought us sweet romance
I know all my whole life through
I'll be remembering you
Whatever else I do
Midnight with the stars and you

Beautiful, of course - Al Bowlley, who sung this tune was a terrific singer, the 'Bing Crosby' of England in the late '20's, and '30's. But the haunting echo of this post, and over and over again... seriously? Yes, it served its purpose in 'The Shining' film but check out Al Bowlley's other recordings - they will amaze!
Drinking Champagne 🥂 to this right now..,,perfect, in an eerie sort of way👍
nice
I LOVE THIS! I would love to travel back to the 20-30s and dance with Mr. F. Scott Fitzgerald to this song in the ballroom…..and the night would be AMAZING!
with you all the way back
This song so haunting through a spirit's touch will draw one into a place horrific and yet so (forever) Beautiful!
did your muse ever come back to you, che?
I love this song, if I ever get married I'd dance to this one. Lol.
Thanks for this wonderful hour... Al Bowlly.
I'm addicted to this film and this song!
the book & film are a classic
Imagine going to checkout a hotel for your wedding reception, Walking into the lobby n this comes on............. 😱
LMAO
Dream come true
You know what they say. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
Ray Noble and Al Bowly, Midnight the Stars and You.
Perfect for drinking champagne when alone 🍾🥂!!
Love it. Sounds like a good ideia for a new year’s eve party…
Definitely had it at New Years' 2021
"Great party, isn't it?"
@@SamuelBlack84always has been ☠️
Man do the spirits have great taste, or what?
Im honestly fine with this
And the part at 2:45 is just perfect. Especially with the echoed audio effect.
0:08 “Good evening Mr. Torrance!”
0:09 good evening
Thank you for making it an hour ❤
So Breathtaking and Soothing.
I didn't know then but I support the life he lived.
the sound of typing in the background would be so fitting
Al bowley what a wonderfull voice he had i absolutly adore this song ❤
more than love it... it' will be my way of "life" after my life in this world...!!! Hope so....
For anyone who’s interested in a similar track listen to the first song in the album Everywhere at the end of Time
I wouldn't really say it's exactly similar but yes it is a great song.
the caretaker? i love that one
Everywhere in the beginning of nowhere
@@CapitalismInSteel Not exactly, yes. They are both by Al Bowlly, though.
This piece by Ray Nobles & Al Bowlly's vocal is a the best thing about the film. The hollow sound amplifying the piece gives this the right ghost like sound of another (and classier) time come back.
I don't need this video to hear this song in my head over and over again!!
LMAO well said and it is an ear worm of one of the worst kinds / see Night Gallery ... the Caterpillar
This is astonishing. I have never heard it before. What have I missed?..I love it
This song makes me think of a old zombie man on a video who was a war veteran and had a wife named Sandra that died and the zombie guy thinks she’s still alive
@Jasper Hamilton Wth? Flamingo has nothing to do with the Shining bozo.
@@vaulted4239 No, the game in the video is... the OG comment happens to perfectly reference the game, and Midnight, the Stars and You happens to be one of the most memorable things from it. "Bozo".
@@SStupendous ?
@@vaulted4239 Made a coherent sentence, re-reading the chain is all the context you need. I'm talking about the game the guy mentioned.
@@SStupendous ok
Attention this song should have been played in the 1997 movie TITANIC. I CAN SEE THE FIRST CLASS PASSENGERS ON THE TITANIC DANCING 🕺TO THIS HAUINTING SONG. I KNOW IT CAME OUT IN 1934 BUT I CAN SEE IT. IT JUST GOES WITH A DANCE SCENE IN THAT MOVIE.
May as well have the troops listening to backstreet boys in Platoon.
Thank you for posting. enjoyed a lot.
I❤ this song!!!
So Breathtaking.
Damn bro, so echoing!
As in the film ,and reality
Beautiful, pure bliss
so nostalgic...love it!
Great party, isn't it?
The Overlook spirits frown upon you turning this song off.
real ones know these type of songs/this one from chuck lloyd, the smiles family and more
Мне очень нравится эта муэыка, вспоминаю молодость,мне давно знакома эта мелодия, но сейчас мне хочется плакать ,вспоминаю своего сына который умер в 2022г. От ковида . Красивый умный добрый молодой мужчина.

Great party huh?
Can you please tell the spirits that if they aren't playing it for 10 hours then I'm not interested 😉
