Awesome panel! Ive been hesitant to actually buy a Siemens panel but I really want one. I was looking at an MXL-IQ and also an FC901, and even one of the bigger Cerberus voice systems. I wouldn't know if I needed to buy a programmer for devices and if programming can be done within the panel, or if I'd need Siemens software which I know you have to be certified by them to get it. They seem to be even more proprietary than Simplex in terms of being able to do stuff as a collector, if that makes sense. (I also work in the field but with Notifier and Silent Knight, not that this matters lol) Love the panel though!! It's not every day you get to see Siemens on a demo system! They're definitely one of my favorites besides Simplex.
I totally agree with you, man. If I were to recommend a somewhat collector friendly siemens addressable panel, it would probably have to be the fc922/924 panels since you're able to run an autoprogram and add and delete devices. However, the devices themselves need a programmer to change or set the address if they have not already been set(new in box devices) lucky for me, all these devices already have an address programmed into them.
@@FireTech7 sounds good man!! Ill have to save for this panel and a programmer lol. If I can set everything up with the auto program (hopefully no software downloads to the node?) then ill be golden. It'll definitely be a while before I can make this happen though, so I will enjoy my Simplex 4010 and 4008 while I have em haha. Thanks a lot! I hope to see more in depth stuff on your new panel!
Hello fire tech is it possible to ask what the default admin 1 passcode is for the 6700 panel updated to 7.00.08. Also how do you change the computer code. We was able to change the multi and installer but not those two. Very odd and the default trouble is silly but I get it. Thanks!
So it seems that with that new firmware, honeywell has completely changed the menu interface of those panels.. unfortunately, I haven't worked on those with newer firmware, so I'm not really of any help.. I believe I have a screenshot somewhere of the 6000 series backdoor passwords, so I'll have to check for that. I'm not sure if it's any good for this firmware, though
@@FireTech7 we don't need a backdoor but would appreciate that if you can forward. Honestly I see many people migrating away from SK since they many said they have issues and quirks thanks
@@FireTech7 those did not work for the admin 1, we finally reset the compute code. through admin 1 using 111111 (it let us reset the computer code correctly) but will not allow us to change the admin 1 default code? so weird
Cool! The European version of these are actually more collector friendly. You should get some European devices for Siemens or notifier.

Why did the zns do code 3 so fast? It was almost like gentex sync
Faster than gentex but it's the sync pattern on this panel
Do you have the DPU to reprogram the devices?
There's no need for a dpu

@@EYL8902 the devices keep their same addresses unless they're changed by a dpu, I can just auto configure the panel to see what address it what
