@Hewhoremains my friend works at sig, he said there weren’t enough demand and the SS color way wasn’t selling enough. I guess that’s why most guns just come in black now
Stainless slide resists rust very well and the receiver is aluminum so that will not rust at all. Not sure what was going on with your Sig model. If bought used maybe it was a bad refinish job by previous owner? What will start rust on a stainless steel gun is if you use a carbon steel wire brush or steel wool. Only use nylon, copper, bronze or brass on stainless steel. Using steel wool or a steel brush impregnates the stainless with higher carbon and it will rust untreated with oil. The reason the mag shoots out is with the slide forward the magazine follower is being pushed down (compressing the mag spring) by the slide stop. Lock the slide back and insert the mag and eject the mag, notice the difference. Are you missing the lower grip screws on both sides? Nice gun and enjoy!
It was new from a dealer I went on trip and was carrying it then put it away brang it out after a year and some there was some pitting no clue how it happened to be honest . I’ll definitely lock the slide and see the difference I do like that fact that it ejects it out . Makes he feel comfortable knowing it will eject on time . I am missing the screws crazy I didn’t notice till after I made the video I was cleaning the gun and was confused on how and when they fell off? Thank you for the info truly appreciate it !
It is stainless steel not rustless steel. Keep the sweat from your hands off of it when putting it away and give it a light coating of oil. Stainless steel does rust under certain conditions..
I just thought it wouldn’t rust since it was stored in a dry place but I’m guessing some moisture got into it , you like you said maybe I put it away with out wiping the sweat of it thank you
They seriously need to bring this model back
