When Butterfly appeared first at the Olympics in 1956, men had only 200m event. Such view for 200m fly would be fantastic, but this is too, thanks

0:26 -> when you realize Schooling must be disqualified because of his full body under water before first turn
“SW 8.5 (…) It shall be permissible for a swimmer to be completely submerged for a distance of not more than 15 metres after the start and after each turn. By that point, the head must have broken the surface. The swimmer must remain on the surface until the next turn or finish.”

Not native English but to my understanding that rule means swimmers can only do 15 meter underwater dolphin kick after the start or each turn. At 15 meter they should break water surface...

@@kevinmithnick9993 yes, sure but watch his turn at the end of the first lap (see 0:26), before his turn his body is fully submerged (like he has dived to turn), so he broke the rule as a fully submerged body is only allowed at start or after the turn for 15 meters

No, the rule is that after pushing off the wall you can only be underwater for 15 meters. You could theoretically go 15 meters, pop up, then go back down legally
