I just bought a gen1 Raptor after I saw your video on TFL
Pat Hayes that's awesome, congrats!! You're going to love it.
@@DavidFigs my father bought one in 2012. Been obsessed with Raptors ever since! Glad I finally had the chance to get one
Pat Hayes that’s awesome, congrats again
I just purchased 2010 ford raptor svt 6.2 V8 black on black extended cab and I'm in love 😍 and by the way its in mint condition with only 60k purchased for 17k cash 💸
R j wow that’s insane? Clean title?
@@DavidFigs yes sir clean title
@@rafflegiveaways I'll give you 20k for it
What tie rods you running? I'm on the border with tie rods. I get the benefits of having single piece ones, but that just means other components are more prone to wear and stress since the design is basically to have the tie rods break first (they're cheap to replace too) instead of other suspension components. Thoughts?
ColeTrain so out of all the mods I've done and owning a gen 2... The tie rods was probably the most noticable for me. Before, going offroading, any minor whoops or uneven sections you'd feel it alot in your steering. I mean to the point steering was almost pointless at any decent speed going over that.
After installing the tie rods, I've noticed a massive difference in steering output.
Oh and they're RPG tie rods
@@DavidFigs that's good stuff. Idk I might keep tie rods stock. They price they're asking is ridiculous for 1 piece TRs
That’s +6 offset?
Yep
Sooo after a year, how do you like them?? I had them on my 13 Raptor, went to get new tires, and told them what mine are doing, he says "red letters?" (he didn't even see my tires) knowing that the Generals are....not worth it.
They've held up decent. It's tough to give a honest feedback bc I bought C rated tires(🤦♂️) instead of E's so they blew first time out.
Since replacing with E's 0 issues and holding up decently.
@@DavidFigs gotcha, nice rig .
Looks good!!! I like those graphics on the black...... did you add them or were they already on when you got it?
Crash the Malinois part of the 'special edition' is that graphic package. I really like them too.
@@DavidFigs I just purchased a tuxedo black Special Edition a couple of weeks ago, but I guess the previous owner of my truck had them removed. Damn it!! Well thanks for the reply and keep up the videos!
Crash the Malinois man congrats on the purchase! You're going to love it. I haven't looked but I'm sure you can still get them from somewhere
Parker eh? Littleton here
Cheyenne here.
What did you end up doing with the factory wheels?
I have them stored in my garage
@@DavidFigs would you sell them?
Nope, kept the OEM wheels
What does SE mean?
Special edition
A tire shop that lifts the truck on the differential? Pass.
I’m not going to lie, the back looks terrible. I’m going for 37s for sure now. Thanks lol
