He's up there in the Canadian section of heaven with John Candy, Leslie Neilson and Phil Hartman.

And Trevor Moore. Look him up. Severely underrated.
@@pechondelgado he's not Canadian
Wait he is Canadian?!?! I swear I thought he was a New Yorker. I was just so sharp and witty with the come backs
He had cancer for nearly 10 years and suffered in silence. He didn't want people to know. That's similar to the way David Bowie handled it as well. He didn't want people to treat him differently, or to look at him differently, because it's true the second people learn that you more or less know when your expiration date is, in a lot of cases they begin to treat you like you're already gone.
When you start telling your friends about your cancer diagnosis - a lot of times you end up comforting them because they can't handle your pain - that is really hard to do
And when you do die, it's like everyone remembers you all of a sudden. People jump online to use quotes or share pictures of themselves with the newly deceased. Before they died of course. And after a few days, we all move on. Comment sections are filled with lazy "RIP". Like why even type 3 letters if you can't type Rest in Peace. We should just all be glad to have heard his words after all. The old lump of coal was getting stale anyway.
@@NandR - He left a fabulous body of work for us. And he inspired many comedians who we still have. I highly doubt he will be forgotten in 3 days! How silly that RIP and Rest in Peace don't reflect the same sentiment to you. Have you EVER been to a grave yard? That you think he was, "getting stale anyway", says more about you than him. May he RIP.
I think it’s lazy and stupid for RIP to be in a graveyard too. Most graves I have seen don’t say that though. They say “First Name Last Name” and “Year - Year” maybe something like “loving father and husband”. But you clearly didn’t know Norm if you missed the chunk of coal joke. @@pete6158 he didn’t hate him but sure, pal.
He was in his own lane. For sure a legend ❤️
Good to see you here bro thls ls a sad day
@@matthewwatford2934 yeah family definitely
I will never unhear Norm in Seths voice again…. Wow he’s right… you can very much tell in his delivery that Norm was very influential on his career.
No need to insult the dead!
I say this with sincerity, if being a professional talk show guest was a thing, Norm would have been the highest paid and most prolific. RIP Norm.
Norm and Don Rickles. The two 🐐
A wonderful, sincere tribute, Seth. I loved him on SNL, fearless. It must have been so great to know him and see him in action week after week.
I'm a Canadian boy, Norm
represented repeatedly to me, this country's comedic talents. He inspired a lot of great talent that followed in his footsteps.
Condolences to his Family, friends, many admirers and fans
Chris, Phil, and Norm are up in heaven making everyone roar with laughter
Greg and Patrice too
You talking about Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, and Norm MacDonald?
@@xboxgamerhr ...Greg?
@@TimThomason Greg Giraldo
This weekend, SNL should just run 90 minutes straight of Norm Weekend Update jokes, with maybe a few Celebrity Jeopardys sprinkled in there, too
That's what YT's for, think the SNL new season starts this week-end not sure.
His Jeopardy Burt Reynolds was so great
@MR. ER MISCELLANEOUS MISUNDERSTOOD You're trying way too hard.
@MR. ER MISCELLANEOUS MISUNDERSTOOD BOT.
The moth story is insane. A true comedic genius. A comic's favourite comic.
Rest easy big homie.
In other news OJ is still looking for the killer.
Or so the Germans would have us believe.
You guessed it. Frank Stallone
Murder is still legal in the state of California!
@@toddpinkstonisgod All that is immoral and wrong is "legal in the state of California"; all that is moral and right is illegal in the state of California.
@@manofiske3318 way to kill the vibe. We’re just making Norm jokes here, you ol’ battle axe
That was good tribute. Remembering the man in a personal manner. Sad but celebrating. And also simple.
Norm was everything Seth could never be. Seth is the last person to say anything, good or bad, about Norm. Just shut up and continue with your sleazy corporate "comedy" show, Norm would never come to your show alive, now that's he is gone, don't even dare to use his name for your ratings. Thus is first time ever i clicked on youtube suggestion of Seth video, just to say this. RUclips gets huge money to keep promoting this talent-less, sold-out chill, despite me consistently marking suggestions of his videos as Not Interested.
@Solitude Standing11 it was my impression, from watching interviews, Norm thought Seth was trash. And Seth proves him right every night with this political propaganda stuff that Norm would never have done. He was a real comedian.
This is the only time I've watch a Seth Myers video to the end and actually clicked like.
Norm will truly leave a hole in the comedic space of our time, given that non comedians like Seth think they are funny now.
Great way to remember Norm. Beautifully done. That abduction line is hilarious and quintessential Norm. We lost a legend. RIP
Too bad Norm hated Seth because he's not a real comedian. Just a pathetic leftist sellout.
I'm so sad about Norm leaving this world, had no idea he was ill. We'll be laughing less without Norm, great comedian and a wonderful man.
The Norm fans trolling this lame video...we are kin.
"It's not something I would do."
RIP to a true comedy legend.
Norm McDonald was a legend!
RIP… Thank you for the laughs.
God Bless. 💖
I loved Norm.
I normally don't even blink when a celebrity dies but Norm felt like a friend.
See you around, pal.
Yeah. Feels different when comedians musicians die.
What I admire about him is he went out like a gentleman and didn't wine and cry all over the place like like that guy from the Tragically hip.
My favorite Norm moment is when he had his show. On the show they were talking about what superpowers they would like and why; Norm said that he would want to be invisible so he could make it look like Weiner dog could fly and he scoops up the dog and supermans him around the room. It was such a pure moment.
I can think of no better use for invisibility
Oh, jeez! 😥
My goal is to embrace and appreciate the silliness of existence throughout my older years, always finding the humor in what life throws at you. Norm embodied that mindset perfectly, even today thinking about his jokes helps ease the pain of his loss.
So sad to see he passed. He was one of the greats. 💔
"Still no abductions" such a killer, funny line to describe how fatherhood is going.
Rest In Peace Norm. He taught me a lot through his comedy. Whenever I can’t make a decision I just think to myself…
What would Seth Myers do
Perfect
@Nathan Stuart As trolling goes, that was relatively lazy. Emojis for trolling is for preteens with no imagination, try harder.
I remember him cracking that joke lol. I'm very glad that Seth pays his respects here.
