Yo JC I gotta suggestion for your future vids, when ever you make a farm just show the area it will take up beforehand so for example like length x width x height of the xp farm. This would be useful if we are building it in a confined area. Thanks for all your hard work!
I built your gold/xp farm from 1.20 in my last world and I think that this one actually produces more XP, and it’s so much simpler even though it takes a tiny bit more to maintain with the potions and iron ingots, but those problems are easy to solve. I love this farm design! Thanks!!

This farm works incredibly well. I’ve been using it the last few days. If you’re having issues with silverfish spawning, you might be in peaceful mode.
@@James-hm3jkI used a carved pumpkin and cleared all the blocks touching the gollum. At first that didn’t work so I removed the pumpkin and placed it again and it worked. Make sure you’re using one iron block as a base with 3 iron blocks on top in a T formation. Good luck
@@Ehsan887 friend, I was joking about his method. “Place a block here, now one here, now break that first block” It’s just super reliable and interesting, how he does it.
brilliant build. but a couple of things would improve it; 1. use a sticky piston to grab the magma block and retract it so the golem doesnt die when not being used. 2. use a lever instead of a button to control the sticky piston, you have to press it twice when finished using the machine, I'm sure it can be controlled better but I am not a redstone genius
Pro tip. If a creeper, or 2, blows any of this up and you have to temporarily take out the water to fix it - don't forget to put the water back. Otherwise you're going to open a spot in the wall to put the water in AFTER the silverfish started spawning and they'll flood out and you'll spend the next 7.5 minutes killing them all with a pickaxe because you didn't bring a sword. 😅 sincerely, a guy who did exactly this today while building
Could you add an iron farm above it? Splash potions could work on multiple golems and you wouldn’t need to repair them. You could get iron when they die.
I’m pretty sure a iron farm only spawns 2 golems at a time unless it’s stacked and the golem will likely die after 5 lvls and iron farms are not fast enough for that just a lot more worth it to heal the golem I have a similar farm that works slightly better as the golem stays on the magma Block and doesn’t bounce away and it’s around 1 iron every lvl u want or every 2 lvl all the way to lvl 45 but don’t recommend going higher to be honest
You know what I like about this guy is that he actually tells the truth about his builds they all work and that’s why I support him and subscribe to him
Works great…only problem is you will need a steady source of iron to run it. But overall worth the build as saving time on xp is more valuable than iron anyways.
okay so it would have been good to know at the beginning that i needed a brewing stand because i currently dont have any knowledge of where a nether fortress is so thanks for that useful information after i wasted my time building it!! yay!!!
Use snow golems and hostile mobs instead. The snowballs cause silverfish to spawn without damaging the mob so you don’t have to worry about healing through mob before it dies.
@@cjblade4977 no I mean if you set up a farm where a snow golem (or a few) fires snowballs at a hostile mob that’s infected (I’m using a zombie), the mob won’t take damage but silverfish still spawn.
A way to make it so you dont use any iron is use 24 armadillos with a zombie nearby so they go in their shell and become invinvible when on a lit campfire
I always enjoy your builds. Helped me out quite a bit. But I am finding the allay xp farm and this farm to not be worth building. They cost resources to use as opposed to making a spawner farm or the gold farm.
@@youdummy5094 by spawning iron golems with iron blocks you can just spawn a ton of iron golems in one spot, then splash them all with infestation, so technically i wont have to heal them a lot, I just need a lot of splash potions of infestation. If there are multiple iron golems with infestation then they would probably spawn so much silverfish that it wouldnt matter if they only last 50 seconds. I have tons of iron already and Idk what to do with them.

And blaze powder. Not that it's hard, but I tried making this before going into the nether and finding a nether fortress. I chose this one for my starter base because it took a ton less materials than the standard "tower" XP farm.
Farm is working great, only problem is the silverfish are being killed but im getting practically no XP. Been through 6 potions, and only went from level 26 to 27. Any reason(s) why that would happen?
Do the other methods like allays, armadillos, or snow golems throwing snowballs at hostile mobs not work on bedrock? This seems like the most inefficient and manual, version of the infestation xp farm I have seen yet.
Hey so when my friend built this it worked for about 5 hours then the silver fish stopped dropping xp even though nothing changed. Does anyone know whats happening?
